Lol … yeah imo you are watching someone that is going to be talked about in years to come as one of the best female vocalist ever to pick up a microphone. Morissette will be mentioned and remembered along side the names like Aretha, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Barbara, Billie Holiday, Lara and many more greats! And for me it was okay if a mother will save a her child from embarrasment when DAVID FOSTER who also help Charice Pempenco to be known in AMERICA but the facts that David didn't includes or invites to His Weeklong Concert and instead took MORISSETTE is the biggest upset that happen3d to Charice Mom! Unlike MORISSETTE who can sings and do any genre Charice is a Mezzo Soprano while MORISSETTE is Lyric Soprano and tge quality of their voices is different Charice couldn't even slayed
Morissette's original song but, Mori had already slayed her songs. And for that I would say that Raquel Pempenco who abandoned Charice when She became a a transgender now named as Jake Zyrus

Again you lucky people Morissette Amon is coming over to the USA in June for three concerts, I think on the 2nd, 4th and 6th, the first concert is sold out, this was from Mori's official channel, it was posted last week, still waiting for concerts in England or Germany willing to fly or drive to listen to Mori.
We will get to see her live one day.

I don't think she "sounds like" Whitney, and I appreciate that she doesn't try to, but for me, they have a lot in common in terms of some of the techniques and styles they excel at. Both have a very elegant sound and stage presence, and both are known for the sheer beauty of their voices. Hope you'll check out more Morissette!

Imagine going from falling short on all those singing competitions to performing with David Foster, being recruited by Mariah Carey's producer to sign with Capitol Records (he also called her singing/voice "unparalleled" and said he thought she could be bigger than Mariah), being chosen twice to represent Disney, and all the other recognition she has received since then. Thank goodness things broke in such a way that her talent is finally being acknowledged. I'm so proud of her.

Hi Ryan and Cindy,Listen is one of my fave performances but there are so many. I loved how she told us about her journey and then switches into beast mode and becomes the song. All i can say is Mori performs and conveys the emotions through her eyes and thats what i love about her.

TBH i actually stopped listening to OPM but when i discovered Mori I fell back in love with OPM. I just missed the chance to see Mori last time she was in London early in her career before I discovered her in 2017.

This "Listen" performance by Morissette at Solaire Theater in 2018 is one of my most favorite. The passion, conviction and power she displayed performing this, plus the background story she narrated mid-song, I am moved and become teary-eyed while having goosebumps every time I am watching this video, especially with reactors like you two who have really felt Mori in this song. Yes, she relates to this song much, it's personal to her. Imagine a nine-year old girl, at a young age where most of us would just be in grade school, studying, playing, with not much care about whatever is happening around us, but Mori was already joining televised singing competitions, and experiencing heart-breaking losses and rejections, "doors closing" on her. There is also a video of her singing this song "Listen" in her father's YT channel, Amay Amon, in 2008 when she was only 11. She was part of the side acts for a visiting Filipino celebrity in her province of Cebu, Philippines. That time, she was still a "nobody" and, sadly, nobody seemed to listen to her. But in all of these, she never gave up. She pursued her dream to be a singer, she continued joining competitions and auditions, despite the setbacks, she honed her skills, developed her talent, searched and waited for the right opportunity to come, the "doors that would open" for her. And it all paid off, because she did not give up, now we are witnessing one of the best singers of this generation, and people are now "listening" to her. And what we adore about her is that she remains humble and grateful to her support system - her family, friends, her management, her fans and supporters. 🥰
The "Against All Odds" performance on the Wish Bus was posted in May 2016, seven years ago. She was 19 then. Those were the early years of the Wish Bus. Did you notice that the bus was moving on the road while she was performing? She was sitting, in a moving bus, and yet despite these inconveniences she did an amazing performance, she was singing not only with her voice but also with her hands, and we can see how she was enjoying and having fun, a true performer and artist by heart. 🥰

In that "Listen" performance, she explained her background story of how doors are closing but still her loved ones help her to find a way to success! But in other words, herself together with her loved ones is the SUCCESS!❤ She proves that she is indeed the Phoenix🔥🦅 who rises from ashes!
On the Against All Odds performance, that was the early days of Wish 107.5🔶🚌 with Morissette being one of the first artists I believe in the radio. She was a teenager when she performed there. But still, singing a hard song wonderfully while sitting down in a chair??? And take note, the bus is also moving😂😂😂 Morissette is an angel with wonderful personality but sometimes she is a beast when she has the mic🎙️🎶 and also she can *prove that she doesnt need a microphone* to be a beast😊 and the bolded statement maybe a hint for your future Mori reactions, am i right?😁

Its about time you reacted to Listen. 😄 I think I told you she goes into Beast Mode and Destroys Beyonces Listen like only Morissette can. Listen was performed around the same time as she sang Resignation at the Asian Song Festival 2018 when she was rocking those bangs. Against all odds was done in 2017

This was never be recorded. Broadcast company was waiting for permission in licensing instead a court order was sent. Seize and decease she cannot perform beyonce songs and cannot be recorded. If performed in public it cannot be broadcasted . After reading the rest of the order they laughed. the performance was broken into two parts. And the broadcasting employees handed out cameras. The original recording was half broadcast half fan cam. Note that beyonce affiliated with Rocnation which owners of Live Nation. They handle big venues and ticket sales in America. Let that one sink in when you think about her slow recognition of her career. She expressed her feeling in her cover of if i was a boy at her house , the same time her wish bus performs of Halo was erased only evidence of a fan cam outside the bus

The WISH performance was one of her early appearances on the Bus , the Listen one 3 or 4 years later and I recall her saying, she is always evolving, and trying new techniques to just alter from the original in her own way. In the last few years she , because she just doesn't want to be known as that girl that whistles , she doesn't do it as much but , has her " Mor-eaks " that remind us......if wanted, she is very capable of throwing in whistle notes. Another cover she has done many times....
