I am so thankful you came along for this sweet girl. Imagine having bugs and fungus on the outside and all sorts of parasites on the inside. She's a princess in the making.
She is living up to her name. Classy walked right up to you that first time, because she sensed what a gentle, loving, kind-hearted man you are. She certainly is a beauty, and will be even more so in a month or two.
Wow I wish I had known this before, I scooped a kitten from a farm , he was infested with mites, the stuff I bought at the vet was so strong the fumes killed him
I can't believe what a difference a year has made. Just watched her first ride and she is stunning and smart. What a great purchase you made. So thankful you rescued her to a better life.
Yes. Me too. She's built very light. But then as far as I know, JR is pretty careful about that. But then just after I wrote that, he said he will ride her. I have no idea of her weight. I know JR is 6'4". But he does have an actual scale to weigh his horses. And he knows about the 20% rule. It also makes a difference what kind of riding you do. Like a short ride doing easy stuff is not as bad as a long ride with a lot of , canter and gallop, and bouncing on them at the trot. Bad riders will bounce a lot at all those gaits, and their weight will bang onto the horses back. So if he's close to 20% of her weight with all tack etc, and if he only rides a little now and then for training purposes, when he can't get anyone else to do it, that wouldn't be as bad as what I just described in the last paragraph. I'm not defending going over the limit. I'm just kind of thinking it through. I hope we are able to find out at some point what she weighs, and what JR weighs.
My grandma would've said: "She's a purdy thing". I look forward to seeing her thrive. Y'all have been really lucky to get two horses with such gentle manners.
Classie is so pretty, laid back and her disposition is phenomenal for a youngster. I think you have a diamond in the rough there. Good find. Looking forward to seeing her progress. ❤️
Mites are extremely small, it could be lice which are visible to the eye. Beautiful horse, it's so sad that people don't give them proper nutrition and vet care.
@@anntrope491Neck threadworm is only visible under microscope. This is probably lice. Diatomaceous Earth (white powder) does a great job on lice infestations and is completely safe. Dust the horse and the entire stall area where the infested horse is kept. Diatomaceous earth mechanically kills insects with hard carapaces with it's tiny shards that crack the carapace in the joints and dehydrate the insect, effectively killing it without poison.
She's a beauty 😍 she just needs whole Lotta love ❤️ Good hands with Homestead. I love watching the newer horses that actually need the help. Thanks for the time you give to these wonderful creatures
Your narration at the end of this video was so calm and clear and professional. Your patience while filming is such a plus; not yanking the camera around. Good job Lady!
She's beautiful! This is the first Classy video I've watched. And I always laugh a bit when JR tells the viewers not to tell him something because I can't imagine telling JR he's doing something wrong. You all have such amazing ethic with your horses, born from generations worth of experience. I'm still waiting on the family history video!
I admire your love for the horses . It is always been a dream to me to own a horse , never have rode a horse though . Maybe in heaven God will give me a horse.
She is lovely, what a sweet gentle soul, just like your wife. I love the way she interacts with the animals, even the sheep, and especially with the horses when they are foaling. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
JR, I hope everyone is safe and well after the tornadoes that hit your state. Please let us know that you and the family are OK as well as the horses. Heartfelt wishes that everyone you know is safe and sound as well!
I can endorse that - the weather and storms are becoming so much worse with climate change. I don't know much about horses, wild or domesticated, but honest questio, where do wild horses go in tornadoes?
I'm glad you got her away from that idiot. Why do people refuse to sell horses? But then they don't take care of them? He didn't care enough about her to take care of her but he was reluctant to sell her? I called BS. He just wanted you to pay more.
I clicked on this video cuz in the thumbnail photo of her, you could tell she has very nice conformation. It turns out she also has a great disposition. She's nice!
Those dogs running through the high grass, sometimes seen and heard - sometimes not - is a great way to introduce horses to trail rides and the unexpected things encountered on the trails.
She's just a little baby - she's so small but perhaps that's because I'm used to Oliver. She prances along so prettily and it's lovely to see her attacking her meal with such gusto.
I think Jr is a great trainer and his daughter Becca is awesome at training them too. With her being so young she will be the best at it . Plus the horses are so beautiful... 👍🏻 GREAT JOB 👏🏻
I love these videos you guys post. Don't know anything about horses, but just watching J.R. share his knowledge is very illuminating and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your love of horses and family with everyone.
It looks like Becca is really into horses. She seems to becoming a great trainer. Hope she can ride another horse in shows this summer since Ozark is out of commission with the upcoming baby. Great new horse. She is looking so much better in just two days. I never have understood why people have horses they don't want to care for properly.
I think times are hard for people. When resources (money) is limited it goes for food and shelter for the family. I can see that owning a horse is a very expensive proposition. I bet their are many people who buy a horse and don’t have any idea how much time and money they need to invest.
If a family doesn't have a working use for a horse, then they can be an expensive yard ornament. It's getting to the point where most people who are accustomed to having luxuries that they really don't have a genuine need for aren't going to be able to afford to feed themselves and their animals. Unfortunately, for most horse owners, their beloved pets are about to be affected. The economy is really, really bad, and getting worse. Sadly, horses and other pets will suffer as a result.
Yeah. But sadly those people won't lose a single pound themselves. While they restrict their animals feed and other care more and more, they will still be shovelling the food into themselves. KFC and McDonalds at least once a week. It's so gross to see them! I can barely even stand setting foot in Walmart now!
You are truly a wonderful person to give so much love to this beautiful horse. She needed you and I believe she will fill your family with much joy as well, many blessings for your goodness❤
She is in really good hands! Can't wait to see what she looks like in a month or so. With all the Love and Care you all will give she is in the right home! God Bless!!
This is the first I've come across this video, I think she's a real gem. Stunning looks, sweet disposition, once she fills out she's going to be an amazing saddle horse for someone.
Just thinking that this horse would have stayed in that bad condition if you had not gotten her out - that is wonderful and she looks so good! Are you thinking about breeding her - what beautiful babies she would have.
Oh I am SO in LOVE with Classy!! You guys are so awesome for what you do! This was not a coincidence that you ended up passing on the other horses and ending up with her. God is good!! ❤
You are my new FAVORITE site! I have always loved horses (and dogs of course). I had a horse as a child, but never learned what you have already taught me in this 1 video! I love how generous you are with your knowledge and believe you will help the industry of the horse and the ownership and horsemanship by teaching such beautiful, peaceful methods with every video. I never knew the benefit of short-term hobbling to teach patience. I look forward to all your future videos and hope your sbuscriptions EXPLODE! As a follower of Jesus, I also LOVE your Christian music.
Great that you had instructions on the quick release knot, I need to remember how to do them, started riding as an adult, 2,5 years now, so much to learn.
Hey! I'm a new subscriber! What a sweet girl! You have a good eye to look past all her issues and see the beauty and good horse beyond all that! I will be watching her progress!
With regard to tying any equine up... my boss taught me to tie a large loop of bailing twine to wherever you need to hitch them to and then tie the lead rope to the bailer twine using your quick release knot. Bailing twin will break if you're not there a lead rope won't. A panicked horse will break his/her neck trying to get free. Bailing twin comes free with every new bail of hay/straw here in Scotland lol xxx
Awesome video you guys are kind & loving toward your animals. That is a great jester. Why in the world didn't the last owner treat that horse with meds to cure him of the bugs & worms? Thumbs up guys. Stay well & safe.
I am so thankful you came along for this sweet girl. Imagine having bugs and fungus on the outside and all sorts of parasites on the inside. She's a princess in the making.

Absolutely couldn't of put it better❤❤❤
Agreed❤️🥰!
Totally agree ❤
Yup! ❤❤❤
Looks like she's one of those super rare horses that was born dead broke and probably bulletproof. Awesome.
I was gonna Mention Dawn dish soap , it kills big insects , spiders , hornets , beatles , flies etc , really quickly
And Dawn Dish soap cleans stains and mud...makes animals for bright white!!!!
Dawn is like duck tape! It works for sooooooo many things!
Yes, that kills flees and bugs almost on contact...wonder soap!
Wow I wish I had known this before, I scooped a kitten from a farm , he was infested with mites, the stuff I bought at the vet was so strong the fumes killed him
You can also sprinkle diatomaceous earth on her. You can use it on cats and dogs for fleas as well and other animals.
I can't believe what a difference a year has made. Just watched her first ride and she is stunning and smart. What a great purchase you made. So thankful you rescued her to a better life.
What a BEAUTIFUL girl!! She defiantly walked up to the right person!
She knew without knowing that JR was the right person, her person to help her.
She’s such a small and sweet horse. I hope only a small person will be riding her.❤️
Yes. Me too. She's built very light. But then as far as I know, JR is pretty careful about that.
But then just after I wrote that, he said he will ride her. I have no idea of her weight. I know JR is 6'4".

She's already looking happy and like she's been with you for ever. X
She's such a pretty horse!!!!!
She stands tall and proud. She is beautiful.
My grandma would've said: "She's a purdy thing". I look forward to seeing her thrive. Y'all have been really lucky to get two horses with such gentle manners.
She has a beautiful face! I feel sorry for the other horses that guy has 😢, but glad Classy will now have the best life 👍
Hmmmm well, all of the horses are beautiful!
Her build is gorgeous too! ❤
She's so light on her feet, just amazing temperament, you've got a gem in this sweet girl
Classie is so pretty, laid back and her disposition is phenomenal for a youngster.
I think you have a diamond in the rough there. Good find.
Looking forward to seeing her progress. ❤️
Thank you for giving Classy a new home, she is so precious and sweet. I can't believe how calm she is for being only 3. She's a keeper!!
What a gem you found. She is absolutely lovely, smart, and good natured. She certainly lives up to the name Classy. Congratulations!🥰👏👍💕🐴🐎
Such a bright, calm eye. And she's beautiful.
Mites are extremely small, it could be lice which are visible to the eye. Beautiful horse, it's so sad that people don't give them proper nutrition and vet care.
Neck thread worm is my guess...

Could also be ticks. When my dog would get them we could clearly see them and I'm visually impaired
@@HerbMoore3 Dimethicone is far more effective as a method to kill lice. It's inert and nontoxic.
She's so hungry, poor thing. So glad you're taking care of her now and forever I hope!
👍♥️She knows she’s in good loving hands. She’s a beautiful mare!! ❤
She’s like a cat…she chose you and now you’re her human. You have been blessed! 🥰
This is when you first got classy? I love the videos of all your horses. Please don't forget Colt. Many people love and miss him.
She’s gonna be a looker when you get her slicked up! And she seems to have a head full of sense!
THAT is Classy?????????????? Wow!!! Who knew such a beautiful mare was in that gangling baby?
Classy is getting the best care and love being with you. Such a beautiful attitude. ❤
Oh, she is so sweet and gentle! Bless you for the care and love you are already giving her 💗
What a sweetheart of a horse! Wonderful attitude, so calm. Truly meant to be! She already looks happier! She is a great addition. Congrats!
She looks piebald colour to me but she is very nice 👍 😊
She's a beauty 😍 she just needs whole Lotta love ❤️ Good hands with Homestead. I love watching the newer horses that actually need the help. Thanks for the time you give to these wonderful creatures

Aww she is so sweet ❤️ She came to you asking to be saved

Her coloring is so pretty. She is lovely.
I thoroughly enjoy this new man. She has the temperament of a sweet young horse, and I hope she works out well and that you all be able to use it.
I think she was starving for attention. She is truly lovin' it!!
What a lovely little girl you have there! Yes, she'll grow into a real stunner in no time at all.
Another winner you now get to steward and provide a great environment for Classy to grow and mature in❤❤
I hadn't seen this before... Classy is so fortunate that you bought her, and she's a wonderful addition to your stable.🥰🥰🥰
She is Beautiful!!!! Glad she is with you guys now.
Wow classy is a treasure I think. Such a gentle horse.
She has a really good appetite. Seems to be sweet. 😊
JR, I hope everyone is safe and well after the tornadoes that hit your state. Please let us know that you and the family are OK as well as the horses. Heartfelt wishes that everyone you know is safe and sound as well!

Beautiful mare, her name suits her. I didn't know that there was a difference In the white or dark hooves as far as hardness.
🤩🤩classy is absolutely beautiful 😍 ❤❤

She is a beautiful mayor❤
She's just a little baby - she's so small but perhaps that's because I'm used to Oliver. She prances along so prettily and it's lovely to see her attacking her meal with such gusto.
Her temperament is stellar. I'd named her Cassiopeia, after the constellation of Perseus' love.
I like your idea… Cassiopeia…
Cassie✨🐴✨this paint is a fine filly…Clear head, honest eye & beautiful.
Cassie is a 🌟STAR🌟
It's wonderful to observe JR'S enthusiasm and excitement concerning his new acquisition.

I think Jr is a great trainer and his daughter Becca is awesome at training them too. With her being so young she will be the best at it . Plus the horses are so beautiful... 👍🏻 GREAT JOB 👏🏻

Classie is a beautiful horse, with a little tlc she will be a great horse, I'm impressed on how gentle she is.
God bless you both for “rescuing” Classy and giving her such great care!
What a sweet baby!!

Another beauty and very lucky girl!👏🏻😘❤🙏🏻✨
Classy is such a beauty! She is looking so much better...happier. She knows she is pretty! Sweet girl!
You know, I think the horses pick up on JR’s energy. From what I can see, the horses pick it up really quickly when JR meets them.
I bet she would love some apple treats!
Actually….she already snuck a couple when Oliver wasn’t looking😉
They are probably sneaking them to the kids by now...."apple" Cheerios, apple muffins LOL. Just kidding!
Oh what a Great find! She is beautiful in sprit and looks!
