- G'day Legends!! As this will be our last video for 2023 I wanted to make sure we ended the year with a bang and this is hopefully one of our best episodes yet! Join Rhea and I as we try the long run out to the Great Barrier reef for the first time. We find GTs, coral trout, trevally and all sorts of creatures in a fishing paradise. We even keep a trout for an island catch and cook on the way home.

Just a magic part of the world. Great book on the Whitsundays called 100 Magic Miles. Excellent information on all the anchorages and channels. Great work getting those GT’s in on the light gear. I thought the second one might have been a cobia, there’s plenty of them up there and they pull like steam trains, too. Tight lines Rob, hope you and the missus have a wonderful New Year.

Do you know when you see a sea snake on surface. There’s reef under it ? Great way way to spot new structures in area you don’t know sound around watch depth sounder
A mate told me that today too. Thanks for the tip, it makes perfect sense as they must be hanging around something on the bottom. Next time I’ll sound around when I see one. Thanks for watching mate
Hey rob enjoying the videos. I would love to see a video about the new boat get your thoughts about how it goes in different conditions, how it goes with the motor. What sort of economy you get out of it etc
