  • Fishing nice and close to the shore, catching big fish on the new Nomad Sea Core and Samaki Live Shrimp, this video starts off with an inshore PB coral trout which was really angry, and then the fish just keep getting bigger and better! A real tackle testing kinda day!
    Enjoy 🍻

    How come do you grab the spool all the time?

    • @Micksgonefishing
      @Micksgonefishing  10 місяців тому +1

      The drag is set reasonably tight to match the line but when I get something that’s decent trying to get its head back down I feather the spool to insert some extra dominance 💪🏻 I’d be pushing my luck running a drag that heavy all the time with shock loads and head shakes…

      Thanks man! Yeah it’s not a bad thing hey, this 7’6 spin is a nice rod, first longer rod I enjoyed using really! I just got a 7’2 baitcast rod too so you’ll probably see that soon as the barra season reopens

      @@Micksgonefishing cheers bro, I was looking at one of their baitcast rods for swimbaits on the flats in the bay chasing big flathead but didn't want to spend a heap on a longer baitcast rod for those flats (like a daiwa ) that isn't going to get used much in the creeks. 7'2 sounds like a happy medium, will be good to get your thoughts once the seasons good
