- G'day Legends! Bit of a mix up with my uploads this week but we're back on track and here's my recent overnight solo boat camp out at the islands before a mad run to the reef for a shot at a big red emperor on a jig!

Weather is making it tough for sure. Had a great night’s sleep on the cast deck in the swag. Plenty of room to fit a double swag!
Boat camping is the best. My boat is like our caravan. We go out here in Moreton bay every other weekend. Always good times and sometimes we catch a feed. I was impressed to see you had your public mooring back after leaving it. Never happens out in Fitzroy
Boat camping is so good. Great thing up here is there’s plenty of islands and moorings (but I did keep an eye on it and was prepared to bolt to it lol)!
That is a cracking video. How good is boat camping in Qld!! That last fish you lost was a belter.
Thanks for watching mate. I don’t think there’s much better than sleeping in your boat, getting a few squid and getting ready for the reef. I had to delete a few F bombs on that last fish 😂

Great swings of emotion in that episode Rob, especially with the "shit...SHIT" bite. What was he eh? Good to know you got enough red fish to keep the wife happy so you can go again next time!
I reckon that was my big 10kg plus red Owen, hence the expletives, drama and heartbreak lol. It felt like I’d hooked a train but had the lunges of a big red. Ah well….back out there after him.
Cracking fish mate, I have great success off Mackay with the jawslingers, meatheads and mustad wingman/staggerbods in the 150g.
Love the trout and red and don't tempt the wind to play up for another 5 years! Feels like it's been that long already... tight lines!
