Just came across you Vlogs as we are planning a Bali trip. Guys, your content is amazing. Love how you show the process of things also. I feel like being an Aussie it’s nicer to hear a more familiar accent than the typical American you seem to get on UA-cam. Perfect guides!!!
Welcome aboard and thanks for the nice comment, that means a lot! Funnily enough the feedback is generally the opposite - Americans can't understand us or don't trust our opinion because we don't sound like them, so it's nice to hear the opposite haha
Have you been to LaPlancha? Down on Seminyak beach. Its an awesome place to have a coffeer or something to eat. Nice place for breakfast. Food isn't brilliant, but such a nice spot. Also for sunset, awesome place to grab a beer or some type of drink. Also The Forge is a good place for a meal or watch some sport.
I'm back in Canggu now, but was living in Seminyak 4 months ago, for a month. (Would have been cool to bump into you guys) I also noticed a lot of hustling for taxis in Seminyak, more than usual, and also in Ubud. Love Sisterfields, which hasn't changed, and also love the Truplant vegan cafe. Sadly, the Down to Earth vegetarian cafe and shop closed earlier during the pandemic. Seminyak square also lost it's little grocery shop on the first floor, which is sad. The hotels I always stay at have gone down hill, they are definitely not as clean as before, and in bad condition, with a lot of issues. Still recovering from covid I imagine. I'm staying in Canggu this time and haven't been to Seminyak since 3-4 months ago.
Kiwi living in Sydney, and pre pandemic travelled to Bali twice a year for years, Guys- I've followed your channel for years now and love your content, I'll be over in August, would love to catch up if you fullas are around... Blessings
Great video! Seminyak looks the same as four years ago and I'm happy to see the beach is cleaner now! We were there in early Jan 2019 and absolutely loved the food and the coffee.
Thanks for showing us the less known shops in Bali. I agree, the conglomorates get too much attention. Time for us to showcase the simple stores. From what you show, Bali has changed so much. I hope the people recover. And they have you to thank. Stay well D and S!
Wow Seminyak looks great! I am a coffee lover so hearing about all the choices was music to my ears. I am also a sushi lover so that sashimi you guys had my mouth watering once again! I'm jealous of your warm weather. It is cold, even here in California!
Love these videos! Getting me so excited to move to Bali in March! Was just there in Seminyak in November! I still love Seminyak even though it has calmed down a lot, still has amazing spots!
It was so cool to see you guys walk past the U-Paasha Hotel, where this channel essentially started. Bali has definitely changed a lot since then, as has the channel! That beachfront resort was absolutely beautiful. There's nothing like staying somewhere directly in front of the water😍
As descriptive and as informative as you’d expect from you lovely people. Never done Bali as we can’t pull ourselves away from Thailand and Malaysia! You’re definitely giving us the vibe👍 Nothing better than watching your brilliant series on a cold winters day in the UK 🥶😂 As always, much love 👌😎
I’m heading to Bali in a couple of days and staying in seminyak .. can’t wait .. was suprised that it doesn’t look too busy . Probably as everyone’s in canguu 😂
Hi Stacey and Dane, me and my partner are big fans of your channel. We live in Auckland and saw you guys awhile ago but were too shy to approach! We are in our early 20s and would love to travel together. I was wondering if you guys would ever sit down and do tips/advice for young couples to afford travelling? Cost of living in nz is no joke and its a real challenge to save. Just a random thought. Thank you for being awesome!
You totally should have said hi! Even if we look busy or what evs we always stop and chat with we're recognised - next time! I'd say the best thing you can do is have a read of our book, not even trying to sell it to you, but send me an email and I'll hook you up with a free copy. It will change the way you thnk about life and travel and costs.
When in the world did they build that H&M? For Bali it feels so random, yet I know its just on par with the more upscale vibe of seminyak. Happy for this series as its been a few years since I last been there. Good I miss Canggu!
Thanks Guys for sharing, Cool video of Bali, Glad you are in the sun and warm places 🏖while some of us are in the cold northern lands.🏔 Glad to see the good and the not so good parts of Bali. I am from Seattle and I think Starbuck's is over rated☕ Love your channel. 🍣🍣😻
Looked a lot of Fun Your apartment was Beautiful 💕 . I just wouldn’t feel safe with people coming up And hassling you 🤔 . Looking forward to your Next adventures 🥰 take care
Hello, Great video ! For the first time visitor which 2 areas do you recommend to stay in Bali near convenience stores, street food markets, nice beaches and easy way to go around the island ? Thank you so much.
No where is really 'easy to go around the island' unfortunately, lots of traffic, if you drive a scooter/motorbike it's easier though. Canggu is our favourite, but the beaches are not that nice. Uluwatu is less busy and more beaches that might fit what you want!
The H&M was there in 2019 when I was last in Bali. I hope Seminyak picks up a bit, I am staying at the Alila in May. I must say you guys did sound fairly judgy about how it is.. Canggu in comparison has always felt a bit too "influencer central" i guess its the place to be.
We totally hear you about Canggu and it's cool influencer kind of scene, there's a lot idiots. We're not experts on Seminyak though, so we weren't trying to judge and happily asked for people to comment and tell us/share with other potential visitors where the best places are. Just our experience was a shadow of what it once was there, Seminyak used to be our fav.
I always enjoy watching the two of you and your videos, but I have to say I’m not even a little tempted to go to Bali. It just looks a little sad and tired, and even the beaches don’t look that impressive. Maybe it’s all uphill from here?
Everyones taste is different, so we get it! You'll see once we get to the Gili islands the beaches improve dramatically so that might shift the balance for you, but always just depends on your kind of trip and budget of course
Hi! New subscribers here 🙌🏽 we really love your video very nice editing and informative, hopefully you will stay in bali more longer so we can see more video from you guys! Hopefully we can meet one day!

I'd say Jun to Aug (best weather as well) and December are busiest months due to school holiday in Asia, Northern hemisphere summer holiday, year end, and Xmas holidays.
The seasons go up and down A LOT in Bali and they don't always align with the rainy season either, if you find an article that just talks about the dry and rainy season it's not detailed enough. We think they work alongside NZ and Aus school holidays quite closely - so confirm those and avoid! Feb, March, November are 3 good months
My 7th trip to bali just returned two days ago. its rubbish now since pre covid It's lost its atmosphere vibe and energy everyone's begs and hussles EVEN IN CANNGU. Bali belly everyone is getting it severely you can see in this video blog clearly it's quite I was very disappointed.
Definitely didn't notice it at all, I mean they're there, but we didn't see anything that was a turn off. The dickheads on bikes with no helmets are worse haha
