- Animated music video for the single "Let's Do It" from QS' album "Life's Struggles" (featuring rhymes by Tone Carter)The video features our heroes in a not-so-subtle attempt at an Indiana Jones Parody! Created using stop motion animation techniques and GI Joes!
For the trees, I used 2" wooden dowels from Home Depot for the trunks and pieces of plastic fern from a craft store for the branches. I drilled holes in the dowels and inserted the "branches" into the holes with some hot glue to hold them in place. The bushes were just more plastic flora inserted in florist's foam to make it stand up.
Wow. I remember seeing this about a decade ago. I love this video.
Thanks! The hands on the Classic Collection Super-Articulated GI Joes make for great stop-motion features! The camera angles I used were all copied from various car chases I'd seen in films and TV shows. I only used them in stop-motion! :-)
Wicked on so many levels. my favourite is all the german heads moving with the momentum of the car.
-Corker!
Thanks! That means a lot to me! It's a great song, and lent itself well to animation!
Thanks! I wish I had time to make more! As soon as I can figure out how to make a living at it, I'll do it full-time!:-)
Thanks! I think this is some of my best work. However, better things are to come!
@Airborne488 I got the Kubelwagon at Toys R Us about 10 years ago. I bought Jeep from e-bay about 4 or 5 years ago. Thanks for watching!
Sorry you didn't like the music. If you wouldn't mind paying me what QS and Tone's people did did to make the video for them, I'll gladly make an animated music video for any song you'd like!
Excellent, EXCELLENT stop motion
The animation in your video goes well with the song, I really enjoyed watching it,keep up the good work
It's actually Adobe After Effects that's causing my picture quality issues. The stuff I cut together on Windows Movie Maker before I run it through AAE actually looks great!
wicked Stuff Hutt. The finger movements were a nice detail and I really liked the shot where the camera goes between the two cars
Thanks! Yes! I used 12" GI Joes from the Classic Collection line (The ones with the "super articulation") And Indy's not a coward... He simply got his Jeep "jacked"! :-)
@jscudderz Glad you liked the animation. Sorry you didn't like the music, since it is a MUSIC video. (The real QS and Tone are friends of mine who took a a big chance on letting me create this music video for their song. They actually play the video on a big screen above the stage when they perform the song live!) I've been collecting action figures for about 13 years now. The Germans are simply part of that collection.
Thanks mate, this will definitely help me in my stop-motions. I also do stop-motions with 1/6th scale figures. Your vids are awesome!
Westwood, represent! LOL!!!
Believe me, if I had the time, I would!
Top Work. Well done!
Thanks! Your work is pretty good as well!
