The application works on iOS and Android devices. It is already available for download. There is a song and scene mode too. Parameter locking, automation record… For the price it is pretty cool. The sampler part feels quite limited though.

Eh, iPads get out dated real fast these days. I have a 4 year old base model iPad ($500) and there are soooo many apps that it either can’t handle due to the processing speeds, or just aren’t made for the lower end iPads due to OS limitations. Time to sell that Teenage Engineering stock 😂 This isn’t the same as an op1 but it does more than enough for the vast majority, and is way cheaper. It’s a pretty cool and modern product from a legendary manufacturer. They’ll have a huge advantage in regards to manufacturing costs, so wouldn’t confuse the lower price for less features or quality, over what TE produce.
The Seqtrak from Yamaha looks great and also very promising, there also seems to be quite a bit of power under it’s surface too! One can only imagine what Yamaha will introduce and add further down the line to this device?...I like it! So much bang for the buck in which I think is absolutely superb value for money and what you are getting in return
There is nothing similar to the OP-1 other than a long rectangle and it is much more advanced. It's rude to compare the legendary company that created the DX7 to a company that can't even install a fader properly.
With 7 drum tracks it has the focus on the right spot. I'm not convinced by the small buttons on the sides. Battery life (3h) is not good, compared to the KO II. I don't get that, because it has no touch screen, which usually eats the battery for breakfast. So I would prefer a working (!) KO II.
