Having traveled to Florida numerous times since 1984 starting with Motels and later on renting a home from friends in Beverly Hills FL. (Ocala area) for 20 years and after that a home in Inverness (van der Valk). Seeing your video gives us another, less expensive, option to maybe try. Thanks for the clear explanation and tips.

My aunt in winter haven does this for us. You answered my I-4 question. The last villa by virgin was horrible so holiday companies are not always nice. The shower screen had mould the air conditioning unit kept playing up. We had insects coming out from the ceiling when the light was on, 14 days holiday and every night I was taking pictures writing to complain and waiting for someone. Inside the dishwasher was dirtier then our plates and under the microwave was greasy instead of a nice relaxing evening I was busy working but I love taking my clothes home washed I’m to busy unpacking all my goodies.
Safe business trip Barry and Maxine keep those working men working can’t wait to see the final finished house. Hope your floor damage wasn’t as bad as it looked.

We've stayed at Floridays on I-Drive a few times before we had our place built. Some of the suites and rooms are privately owned and are rented out. Very similar place to where you're staying.

I know it was a bit of a faff
We have had to start charging a cleaning fee for our villa this year as prices to get cleaning done has gone up so much since covid. We used to include it in the price for bookings over 7 nights. We always state a price that includes taxes but have to charge extra for pool heating between October and April as utilities cost much more. We time ourselves on driving to the nearest Disney Gate and we quote 10-15 mins depending on traffic. I can’t see how places in Davenport can quote 20 mins.
There seems to be a lot of flats going up around the 192 and The Loop at the moment.
We stay at Haines city it takes about 45-50 minutes to get to SeaWorld on a good day and family are in winter haven so we choose book that area. Even Davenport is near Disney but SeaWorld or universal much further on a good day
Love the video Iv heard of air b n b and saw the one you stayed in when Maxine looked in the fridge and could see fresh food, that made me laugh I couldn’t have stayed in that one well done to you both

Home from home….. for 2 (???) weeks (hopefully not much longer given the unexpected reno hiccup). So glad this apartment was in good condition when you saw it. Haven’t used the service too often so some good tips. Have to say when I did (pre covid) those cleaning and service fees added on a chunk.

Traveling out to Orlando in April from Australia with my family and staying at a Airbnb. Stayed in multiple airbnbs in Australia so I always read reviews, find a super host and have free cancellation like you said. Not knowing Orlando at all as it’s our first trip to the US I just hope and pray that we have a nice safe area for our family. Have you heard of Champions gate? Wanted a gated community for added safety. Absolutely love your vlogs and all the helpful tips you give 😊

Our place is on a gated community called Terra Verde (10/15 mins drive to a Disney Gate) and has 24 hr security gate plus clubhouse with a gym, resort pool and a Tikki Bar which is nice as you can walk to it to have a drink and not worry about driving. These are things that you should look at. We have a private pool/spa which is particularly popular with families but will cost you extra if you want to heat it
Stayed at southern dunes in Haines city twice due to it being a friend of the family’s villa,and after a long day in the park and the i4 your looking at 1 hour 30 mins on average so each way thats 3 hours driving include 12 hours of park omg,never again.but southern dunes and Haines city is a very nice location,if you do stay there get to mannys chop house,i know there wide spread but this one is very very good..great info,great vlogs love watching hope the home renovations turn out for the best.
It always makes me cringe when they advertise “ only 20 minutes from Disney “ at that location

Hi Jackie , we want to protect the owners privacy by not sharing the actual address. Needless to say if you look at ‘The Loop” on Google or Apple Maps it’s one of the housing estates just below it. The owner only gives out the actual address once you book with them
For a minute we thought you said you’d brought your own ruler… but you actually said broke your own rule there… you can tell where our minds are! 😂😂😂😂😂
