      Hello. I am a South African and I want to know how you could help teach me and my community these ideas. We are really struggling for water, clean air and cheap building material and construction ideas. Another problem is the transport cost. If we find cheaper solutions for these things, we will be solving the poverty problem for our communities.
      Warm Regards to you, your family and your community.

    I like the idea of how the slit thinwall pipe is attached to the metal roof. That attachment style will limit damage from snow and ice accumulation sliding off with regular gutter systems!

      The attachment of the slit thinwall pipe to the metal roof reduces damage from snow and ice, improving drainage and durability compared to traditional gutter systems.

      Are you looking for us to do a project that meets all of the above criteria? Do you have any suggestions on what materials we should use to meet these requirements?

    • @Mikexxx531
      @Mikexxx531 7 днів тому

      This is not just for off grid living. You might as well store the water from your roof for things such as gardening, lawns, or filling a swimming pool. It's also good to have extra water on site in case of a fire. Municipal water is getting expensive.

      Absolutely! With a solid water purification system in place, rainwater can be safely filtered for drinking and cooking purposes. It’s an excellent way to make the most of natural resources and reduce reliance on mains water, especially in areas where water conservation is a priority. Thanks for highlighting the potential of this setup!

    A lot of water I wasted every time it rains. Don’t waste them! Let’s create a rainwater harvesting system. Create a rain gutter from the roof. The mesh layer prevents fallen leaves from clogging the gutters. Create a special water lock. And next a special function container would be created. A specially designed stove for winter use. When the dedicated tank is full, the rainwater is transferred to a dedicated storage system. Nice inventions, innovations, and creative work that conserve water and energy!

    • @HolicCreation
      @HolicCreation  15 днів тому

      Absolutely! It’s a great idea to save rainwater and use it for multiple purposes around the house. Installing a rain gutter system to collect the water, using mesh to prevent leaves and debris from clogging it, and designing a water lock system to ensure the water is filtered and stored properly are all smart solutions. The addition of a special storage system for rainy days and a stove for winter heating is innovative, as it helps reduce energy consumption while making use of the collected water.
      Have you considered using this rainwater for other household uses, like flushing toilets or irrigation, to make the most of it? What’s your next step in improving your system?

    nice video. in your blue storage barrels, I believe it's one cup of bleach for each 55 gallon barrel, will make it perfect to store and drink- military level decontamination. I was waiting for you to pour it through a filter- staged, with rock, pebbles, then sand, and then I use charcoal and a layer of cotton- makes for perfectly strained water. if it's clear pipe, you can make sure the layers stay intact, and you can see when it's time to just toss the old one and make a new one. simple.

    Gray PVC I believe has lead in it to make wire pulling easier.

    • @HolicCreation
      @HolicCreation  25 днів тому +3

      Your concern is valid. However, some grey PVC pipes may contain lead if they are manufactured using older processes or lower standards, as lead was once used as a heat stabilizer in PVC production to reduce costs and improve heat resistance. However, in modern, safety-compliant PVC products, lead has been replaced by safer stabilizers such as calcium-zinc or tin. Current standards (such as the international RoHS and REACH standards) restrict or prohibit the use of lead in PVC products, especially those that come into contact with potable water.
      If PVC pipes are used for water supply systems or applications with high safety requirements, you should choose a lead-free type and look for safety certifications from the manufacturer to ensure that the product does not contain toxic substances.
      And the PVC pipe I used in this video is lead-free, it meets all safety standards. Have a nice day !

    Actually collecting Rain water is how I have lived for over 25 years.
    All my water falls from the sky and I have 50,000 liters storage with 1500 square meters of roof collection.
    90% of my water is Gravity Direct, [all but the hot water and the cold balance for showers in cold needs to be moved higher for better pressure.
    Kitchen pressure gardening and all others are direct off a roof/tank/gravity fed costs me nothing and very little to set up.
    My top 45,000 liter tanks are sourced by my 2 x 5000 liter tanks and are pumped up 100 meters by Solar Power when I have the power.
    When thinking of Occupying/buying Land your list is 1. Water 2. Power to move that water - 3 Tanks to store that Gold
    4. Cameras to charge your neighbours for Using your water ...

    • @HolicCreation
      @HolicCreation  24 дні тому

      That’s an impressive setup! Relying on rainwater collection, gravity feed, and solar power really gives you independence. And I agree-water storage and management should be high priorities when planning a sustainable homestead. The "charging neighbors" part adds a nice touch too!

    Could have skipped the vast majority of the 4 inch pipes and just gone straight to the 55 gallon barrels. In fact the money you would have saved on all that plumbing would have probably bought you quite a few more barrels. Simply draining into the barrels and then plumbed from the barrels to your water heater! You could also have insulated some of the barrels as a hot water reserve or tank if you will!
