Assuming you have the latest version of Kontakt, then no, you would not be downloading a new Kontakt. It's the same product, just included in a bundle. Since you have Kontakt, you qualify for upgrade pricing. If you have an older version 4

Yes they work with any modern DAW. VST, AAX, and AU. Many of them are standalone too.
NI Access is pretty smart and efficient with upgrades and updates.

it is a great package that gives you pretty much everything you need. add the iZotope Music Production Bundle and you are set for 99% of what you will need to make pretty much any music as well as mix and master.
So let's see if I got this straight, some of them work throgh Kontakt, some of them work through Reaktor, and some of them just work on their own? If thats the case, why not make them all work through reaktor, I think Im just confused on the difference between Kontak and Reaktor please help :(
Kontakt is a Sampler, sample player, while Reaktor is more of a synth instrument. You can of course use either for sound design, but they are different.

If you are a cinematic composer and need Full Kontakt £339. Damage at £249.00 and action strikes at £249 (Total £837). Then when you wait for a sale Komplete Ultimate 11 is an absolute no brainer. I waited and bought Ultimate 11 bundle which comes with an S25 Mk2 all for £580. The keyboard itself sells for £229! Advice though: always shop about for an approved NI retailer!
Think about the cheapest route to ultimate too. For instance, you can buy Komplete select when on sale for £150 and then upgrade when the Upgrade to Ultimate 11 goes 50% off!

The only possible reason would be if you already have Komplete 11 Ultimate. If you don't, it's a good upgrade/package to get. The best in fact.

You can buy the plugins separately, but you end up spending a lot more per plugin vs just getting them all with KOMPLETE.

Is this package something that is suitable for this? I was wondering whether to choose Native ULTIMATE (or KOMPLETE) vs one of those Symphobia or Orchestral Essentials by either EastWest or ProjectSam. Have you got any experience in this field that you would like to share? :) Thank you!
The KOMPLETE ULTIMATE package would be where you want to start IMO. You will get so much stuff perfect for film composing. Plus, you will own the full version of KONTAKT. KONTAKT is what runs many of the other libraries you have mentioned. Stuff from ProjectSam runs in Kontakt. There are also soooo many other libraries you can get for Kontakt that are made for composing, like LA Strings from AudioBros.
The EAST/WEST libraries are very good too, they use their own player. With EAST/WEST you can subscribe for under $30 a month. That would be a good way of checking out those libraries before you buy. www.soundsonline.com/composercloud

Somebody is selling me a copy of NI komplete ultimate. Is that legal? And will it work, coz he still use it and i also use it? He wants to install it to my laptop.
A couple things. You can sell Komplete, but the seller needs to contact Native Instruments first and alert them. But, what you are describing sounds like a 'crack'. There is NO reason the seller would need to install anything on your system in a legit sale, because you would have the install media and the serial numbers. Will it work? Probably. But you will not own the software or have an account on Native Instruments. You won't be able to get upgrade pricing, etc... because it's not a legitimate copy. I do. But it depends on what you need. I wanted all the extra included libraries that come with Ultimate and buying them one by one would have been much more expensive.

Ha, it is expensive, but it's totally worth it. After you use it for a bit you feel like you got a great deal once you compare it to the cost of individual plugins you pickup throughout the year.

No doubt,Ultimate is a great deal...but 500GB worth of content?Damn...I only have a 1TB HD and even if I stored on a external HD,I only have 16GB of RAM.That said,I went for the Select version...as my PC can handle 25GB of content and this way,I can choose what additional libraries I want in the future(as I couldn't possibly have the need to use e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g in the Ultimate version.)

Well...why would I buy 500GB worth of content & only use about half it...because I don't have sufficient HD space and processing power?I need to set aside enough money first,to buy a PC big enough to handle the load(rather than spend that money on the full version of K11) and not be able to use all of it.

If the ultimate was a "little" more expensive, I'd do it. But It's a lot more expensive, and I'm not convinced I need to get off over a grand for that. Especially when I have the full Ableton suite. There is plenty of content in the regular version, and a lot of stuff I probably won't use in the ultimate, except the rhythm guitar. That, almost pulled me over. But thank you! Had a damn hard time trying to find the differences. And for twice the price, no..not worth it to me.
The great thing about Native Instruments is once you purchase Komplete, you qualify for upgrade pricing for multiple years to come. So if you don't see the value in the Ultimate version right now, buy the regular version. There is still TONS of content in the regular version. Then, after a year or two, you may want to go to the latest version of Ultimate, and since you will already be a part of the Komplete family, you will qualify for a great discount.
BenoniStudio I can get with that. Also considering the "jam" as part of a trio with the maschine studio and Kontrol. But..I am not yet convinced the jam will enhance my workflow. For now, more of an optical gadget than something of a truly legitimate use. But I can be swayed. I'd love to see a video with someone using all 3 in a useful way.

There is plenty in the Kontakt Factory library like that. Then you have Battery 4. Then you have all the synths, esp. MASSIVE that is renowned in hiphop, rap, dub, and pretty much anything along those lines. Then you have Reaktor 6....

BenoiStudio, its your fault probably nobody can sleep with this incredible display, wow! :) Mine if I ask, I have the Korg Kronos, could you comment some quick maybe comparisons/pros/cons between a DAW and workstation, they both basically are doing the same, just that you probably can have a much larger library with the DAWs, as I'd assume most of us have 1 terabyte or larger disk space. I'm running into problems with my Kronos, that is, far as hard disk memory, I'm loading so many new sounds, about out of memory. But I hear that's solvable, just add a 2nd internal drive. Do you think DAWs are any less reliable than workstations? Thanks again, you blew us all away with this!
DAWs are reliable today provided you have a good computer. Workstations can be nice for mobile or live because you have less parts to carry around and setup. But a DAW would give you so many more options for recording and editing. I don't have the Kronos so I can't speak on that exact issue.
If you don't have a DAW currently, try some of the free ones or a trial version.

Hello, what kind of computer do you have? Im trying to buy one - thanks for the video!
I built the PC I am using a few years ago. It needs to be replaced at this point though. Basics would be Quad core, ideally i7 or Xeon if you want to go that way. Lots of ram, 8GB min. Sure you could get by with 4GB, but 8+ is much better. Dedicated video card. 7200 rpm HDD(s) minimum, SSD is ideal for the OS drive if you want to spend a bit more. Could go SSD for other drives if you want. HP Workstations are approved by Avid. Really depends on what you need and what DAW you want to use. Pro Tools is very picky. Everything else will run on almost anything that's up to some basic specs (dual core, 4gb ram)

Of course. Kontakt Player is free for anyone. You are paying for Komplete 11, so you get the full version. I am assuming you are talking about Komplete 11 and NOT Komplete 11 SELECT.

Ive got alot of 3rd party plug ins synths effects samples...but I kind of wish I looked at the NI stuff a little closer when I bought all that stuff...NI has the quality and I like a nice bundle

No, Thrill is not included in Komplete 11. It is included in Komplete 12 Ultimate or Collectors. Also, Thrill is not a VST. It is a sample library/instrument for Kontakt. VST is a plugin format.

It's very expensive, true. But you won't find anything close to this for less. A good way to get in to the Komplete world is to start with the standard version which is less expensive. Once you know you want/need more, then you will qualify for upgrade pricing.
BenoniStudio what is the standard version.I see different prices online but dont understand. I'm a little torn because Im thinking about getting omnisphere 2 or some NI thing (NI confuses me with all the different names and packages).
I want omnisphere to do some branching out of my heavily sample-based style. I mainly do this because I'm not proficient at any instruments and much of the time, I use samples to make pads. The issue is that I do not intend to quit making boombap beats all-together; however, I dont see a lot of traditional instruments in omnisphere, which I want to compliment my sample-based productions. So, I am torn.
Now, $1000 is out of my budget right now, but 400-500 is doable. I'm trying to make a decision.
Would omnisphere have at least a few good enligh pianos, bass guitars, choirs(which I know they have), orchestras, and brass....and would komplete/kontakt(I get confused) have the type of soft atmospheric pads and creative sounds to replace about 1/2 -3/4 of the sampling that I do.
