I love how they let that poor woman rattle on about how great her new car was, then spent the second half of the video basically saying 'she was talking complete shite' and her car is crap.
@Rob James i have one. It was stolen and messed up. I have to fix it now. Pain in the ass to work on since the engine compartment is so crammed. It's fun to drive.
@@terrificspokesman7416rop a KL-ZE into the MX3 and your all them VWs are whipped.. The Japs build better cars. I ripped a VR6 Golf apart with a 1.6 SiR EG6 Civic.. And a MK2 16 Valve GTi was pissed on by my Corolla GTi-16.. I had an MX3 V6 and for a 1.8 it was a quick car. 0 to 60 in 8 secs flat and could get to the other side off 130 mph and very reliable unlike the Euro trash... You compare a Supercharged 1.8 to a naturally aspirated 1.8... I could shame all the Colardos G60, VR6 with an Integra Type R....
I had the base MX-3 Mazda red for 10 years. Love it, the stick was smooth and trunk space excellent with seats down. Only used the back seat half a dozen times or so. Wish Mazda would continue a coupe, maybe RX-7?
My MX-3 1.6 had a manual gear box. UK /Irish spec too. It was a 97 year with the 108 HP DOHC engine. So I know the early models only had the 88 HP SOHC. I assume when the rated the 1.6 as slow..... It was an 88HP Auto.. Because my 108 HP manual was quick. There was also quite alot off JDM Autozam AZ-3 1.5 DOHC versions imported into Ireland.. They had 125HP. Apparently very fast for a 1.5. On a par with a Vtec 1.5. !!
I had a second hand MX3 with the V6 engine. I liked the look of it but its performance never lived up to its appearance. it wasn't quick off the mark and you had to wind up to the top speeds. The gearing seemed more suitable for a tourer than a sports car. Even we women like a car with a bit of oomph as well as a stylish appearance!!😅
Well on the V6 with manual transmission you can remove the weak 1.8l engine and install the bigger 2.5l kl de or the more powerfull kl ze and make the car fun to drive more powerfull.
It's a 4 seater not a 2 seater, I had one for 100k miles and a brilliant little car sensitive to types of tyres you put on. Better on Goodyear then Bridgestone. Just watch out for noise coming from rear cam as it cansuffer more wear then the front due to oil feed issues. V6 is the one to have.
...i love my little mx3, I love all things little. That's why I married my husband, Paul. He proposed and I said - Yes, Paul... Debbie got her Porsche soon afterwards...
Wait, Wat? Old Porsche (6 years isn't old) or a New Mazda? OLD PORSCHE!! OLD PORSCHE!! I love Mazdas, but that's like saying "What's better: KFD or completely from scratch lasagna?"
that won't work, the mx5 is rear wheel drive and the mx3 is front wheel drive. granted, it is the same/similar engine so the gearbox would work eoth the engine but the mx5 gearbox wouldn't fit in the car at all

@Rob James ya i know. I hate it though. On all the older cars I've had you could crawl into the engine compartment with the engine.
@@thejohn6614 replace engine

@@265justy The Japanese stuff is certainly more reliable. The Corrado was quicker though. Both good cars
Had a 92 V6 manual in black for 10 years, loved it. Rear ended by someone on their phone! Should had this engine as an option on the Mx5.
i own it and love it
Has it needed any work done? Reliability concerns at all?
I put a KLZE 2.5L in mine and I love it.
Because 200hp 170tq NA is plenty and it sounds insane.

The momo steering wheel is awesome even if it isn't a Nardi.
It's a bit to thin. It would be nice if it was a bit more chunky

KLZE was a straight swap and cheap!
I 2nd this. The performance was complete garbage but still fun nonetheless.
best car around still can beat a gti golf mark 7
with my old v6
Tuned? Because the 1.8 v6 stock is not beating a mk7.
There is a button on the automatic transmission gear shift stick that after being pressed will destroy the transmission!
Can you explain more I’m looking at buying one and want to know if this is a serious problem

Definitely a bird’s car
Great that the ladies are being included in the “Men & Motors”
They were always included after 9pm 😅
If anyone can tell me where to get that from bumper? Can’t seem to find it anywhere
Ya I have never in my life seen that front end. I really like it though
Black plastic, should it be grey plastic or what the fuck is the problem? Its a 90s car, same dashboard as in 323F BG!
The JDM versions had a different/nicer dash board than the Euro spec

Is it rwd?
Front. But it spose to have torsion steering. When u turn front. The rear turns alittle to help with corning
The lady is so cool...
New offbrand Miata, or slightly older Porsche... I’m sorry but I don’t think there’s much of a debate here sweetheart.
EdgeRunner Right?!
offbrand Miata? You mean the shit little hairdresser's car? This is cooler, better looking and faster than an MX-5 by a country mile
I love da car
