I am extremely happy that Big Papi made it into the baseball Hall of Fame in his first try. Besides his great career numbers, he is arguably the greatest clutch hitter in the history of baseball.
And now that baseball and the other major professional sports have embraced sports betting as a new revenue stream. Even to the point of allowing sports betting at the actual stadiums and arenas. It is time that Pete Rose got into the baseball Hall of Fame. To continue to deny him is complete and total hypocrisy.

But Babe Ruth is the greatest player in history because nobody in baseball has the combined hitting AND pitching stats that Babe Ruth has. Babe Ruth has the best OPS of all time at 1.164. Which makes him the greatest offensive baseball player of all time. In case you are an older person and don’t know what OPS is it is simply adding on base percentage and slugging percentage. Willie’s career OPS is .940.
As a pitcher he won 94 games lost 48 games and had a career ERA of 2.28 in the regular season. In the playoffs which then consisted only of the World Series, Babe Ruth had a record of three wins zero losses in the career ERA of 0.87. Which includes 29 scoreless innings in a row, a record which was not broken until 1961. In the 1910s when he was a full-time pitcher he was regarded as the best left-handed pitcher in the American League.

The baseball writers no longer have any credibility when it comes to electing players for the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown New York. First of all, how are you not going to elect Bonds and Clemens into the Hall of Fame but elect David Ortiz who failed a PED test? It’s absolutely criminal that Bonds and Clemens are not in the Hall of Fame.
The Baseball Hall of Fame has turned into writers feeling good about themselves and not about the players. Even the Pro Football Hall of Fame has surpassed it as being more credible. I had the honor to watch Bonds and Clemens their entire careers. They were Hall of Famers before the steroid stuff. Like Rob Parker said: THE BBWAA GOT IT WRONG TODAY!!

MLB had no problem taking the money that came from having them on the field, filling stadiums all over the country. They are one of the reasons MLB has those huge tv contracts to this day but we are going to hold them out because of allegations. Cooperstown doesn’t have an ounce of credibility after this. Big Papi is muchly deserved and my personal favourite player. This comment is about the fact that the all time hits leader (Rose), the all time home run leader (bonds) and the person with the third most strikeouts (Clemens) are not in the hall of fame. How can you consider getting inducted as an honour when the top dogs aren’t even in there? If they are in the wrong than their stats should be fixed to reflect that; however I can’t see how you could possibly calculate how much of a difference it made.
