how long was the shooting for season 12? i know he had a dozen of health issues but lewis looked normal the first few episodes. in this episode he looked simulataneously like 10 years older and younger as if he had a facelift. he still seemed sharp in the head though, which is most important.

Yeah, how awful to give someone a chance to keep doing what they love while suffering a debilitating illness. Lewis knocked it out of the park and Larry stood by his friend.
This is an ultra-realistic drone fish used for espionage. This particular fish was on loan from the US government. If you look carefully you can make out the silhouette of the ventral sensor package in the head. And the transparent nano motors used in the distal locomotion systems.
