New Products Alert! We're so excited to share these taste tests with you!
I've been burned too many times by Daiya's products so really hesitant to try these but lets see how it goes
I would say give the products another try. They are constantly improving the recipes for all of their products, and I think they really have gotten better over the years.
Yes indeed. I never liked their products.
I have actually like some Daiya products over anything else lol! Their cutting board shreds are my favorite cheese, I haven't tried the new oat one yet because I still have frozen bags of the old one. Their cheddar Mac and cheese packets reminds me of Velveeta cheese more than any other vegan cheese product. I add chopped broccoli, yummy! I don't like gluten free pasta, so I buy just the cheese packets and use whatever pasta I want.
Same.
Canadian here, laughing so hard at how many times you can say “Canada” 😂🇨🇦
LOL, it was a moment there for sure
My favorite vegan boxed mac and cheese, which I found from your channel was Modern Table - but now it's gone and I am so sad because I have not yet found one I like better. It was higher in protein and gluten free, but still tasted amazing, and the cost was reasonable.
I KNOWWWWWW
Modern table or goodles vegan are the ones I go for typically
I haven’t tried the NotCo Kraft collab yet. I can say Goodles vegan is the best I’ve had so far. It’s the green box.
Good to know, we plan to try it soon!
I really like the NotCo one. It’s not an exact copy of the OG blue box from my childhood, but it doesn’t have that weird taste that most vegan Mac and cheese have. Right now the NotCo x Kraft collab is my fave.
My family loves the liquid Daiya mac and cheese. We will have to try the new Daiya product
SO glad you do!
Hello! Hello! Hello! 😊
I have been watching Andrew's cooking channel for quite awhile, and lovvve, lovvve, love it!! Especially, now, I have been faced with an unexpected "health issue" that I want to address with Nutrition instead of medications-- and I feel like his channel is my Answer to Help me.... but I Just found This channel- and your website- yesterday, and I feel like I've been Missing Out!!! lol I Love this!! You are the Best Couple!!! 😊 And I've been spending my time in bed recovering watching your videos (on Both channels) and reading everything and the recipes on your website ❤
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for all you do!!!
I'd love to be your neighbor and friend lol You both have such a sweet genuine personality, and Beautiful Smiles 😊😊😊
So Glad I found you!!!
May your beautiful family be Blessed! ❤😊
Am I watching for the review or the comedy... I can tell you two been together forever haha... U two are hilarious 😂... I would love to try the aged one... Thanks for the review once again 😊
hahah both, always both! Thank you though. This year makes 15 years :)
Enjoyed watching.
I am excited to try the aged cheddar. Thank you for the honest review.
Hope you like it!
Thanks for making this! My favorite Daiya cheezy mac used to be the alfredo and then they changed it 😐 it just takes like eating pure ground thyme, idk why they would do that
For me, Daiya is very hit or miss. I use the cheese blocks to make my own Mac & Cheese and in other recipes as a cheese substitute. I think it melts better then most of the shreds I've tried. I also really love their flatbread pizzas, especially the mushroom, caramelized onion and fig pizza. Thank you for your honest review and I will definitely try the aged cheddar!
yeah, I'm still on the No end for Daiya. Their cheese leaves a bad after taste. But I may give it one try with the box mac.
I hope you enjoy it if you do
2:00 Torontario 😂❤ love it
I definitely said Ontario LMAO, I'm holding true to that one. I'm laughing so hard
🤣 Yes, listening back at a higher volume you definitely did say Ontario. I can hear both now! 😅 too funny
If you have Grocery Outlet stores in your area, they’ve been carrying them there for a couple of months now (for $1.99 a box).
I'm just at the beginning of this right now, I just wanted to say you two f'n crack me up.
I do think Andrew is correct about original box mac and cheese being "American" cheese. I'm also with him on thinking of aged cheddar as being white. It's an interesting time in vegan food products now with historically household brands being in the game and basically putting their reputation on the line... like Kraft. I haven't been a Kraft fan for some time but like it or not they are kinda synonymous with boxed mac and cheese. I've been really wanting to try the plant-based Philadelphia cream cheese but it's like twice the price of their regular product (and they need a whipped version).
If I were inclined, I might try using the Daiya cheese powder with regular macaroni to see if that would make it any better.
I have had some BAD daiya! Stuff gave me nightmares.
awwww
Aged cheddar sounds good! I wonder if soy milk would have tasted better than almond milk. 😊
The only vegan Mac & chz I don’t have to doctor up is goodles 😍😍😍 hands down!
The Daiya Liquid Mac and Cheese is my favorite! Excited for these new ones, especially the Aged Cheddar one!!
Which Box Mac and Cheese is you guys favorite?
All mac & cheese I make, I add garlic and onion powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, W sauce, and parsley. Oh and salt and pepper.
Yes, we usually add stuff, but in the taste tests, we like to try as is to give people our opinions on the base products
In every vegan mac & cheez , i typically use either Miyoko’s oat milk spread or earth balance and nutritional yeast. If I use country crock or leave out the nutritional yeast, they are never good
Have you tried the new formula of the Daiya Mac and cheese with the liquid cheese? It’s made with oatmilk. I’ve tried the cheddar flavor, and was pretty impressed.
Damn sounds like I'm the only one who liked Daiya. Granted I only really rocked with the cheddar slices and shreds.
Super cute...ON is Ontario. Loblaws and Metro are part of two of the largest grocery franchises in Ontario, and I believe across Canada. Therefore, this product should be very accessible. 😊
Nice!
So I grew up in the Buffalo, NY area and my mom often shopped at Loblaws. I had no idea it was even still around.
apparently! lol
@Make It Dairy Free As always, love your reviews. I don’t actually buy or eat box Mac N Cheese. As for me eating gluten-free, and an option; as I am extremely allergic to gluten. However, when it comes to gluten-free noodles it really depends on the brand not all gluten-free noodles are not created equal. Not all of them are of that texture or that chew. I do agree if you cook gluten-free noodles too long, they are mushy and I do not like mushy noodles. So I always undercook my gluten-free noodles and allow them 1-2 minutes to continue to cook while sitting in the hot water. Then I rise with cold water to stop the cooking process. And they always come out perfect. 😊
Thanks for the info Jamie!
I'm often saying, "God, I hate Daiya," something Daiya people do not want consumers to say, so this had me suspicious. I have not tried the "new" Daiya formulations yet, because my favorite local grocery is now stocking all the Good Planet cheeses, which are great. But I'm intrigued by the aged cheddar version of these, because that's the mac and cheese flavor I miss. Thanks for posting!
if you find it, I'd love to hear what you think
Daiya was one of the first ‘cheeses’ out there and I didn’t like it. In the beginning vegan products also had cassin in them which fooled us that they were fully vegan. Haven’t had boxes Mack and cheese in over two decades and don’t miss it. Love your honest reviews though.
thanks so much for watching
I'm a big fan of Daiya's cheese slices - they are my favorite to eat on a cold sandwich by far! Have y'all tried the 'squeeze cheese' since they've updated it with the new oat cream recipe? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts!
We haven't even seen that they changed the Squeeze cheese to the new recipe. I googled it but not finding anything on that. Where did you find?
@@MakeItDairyFree Ah I must be mistaken! I can't seem to find anything on it either. I thought I remembered their initial announcement mentioning the new recipe would be for squeeze cheeses as well and have been waiting for it to roll out to my local stores. This makes a lot more sense! Hopefully they still change it someday 😆 thanks for the reply!
I have some downstairs in my pantry right now with the updated "oat cream" recipe. I do like it but it is a little too salty so I guess it depends on the person and your sodium/salt tolerance, maybe I don't mind it as much because I have a bit of a salt craving at times😂
@@MakeItDairyFreethey have it at my local Grocery Outlet : )
Love and food go hand and hand! It’s seeping through this phone😊❤
aww thanks
We keep trying daiya, but… yeah 😅😢
awww
I think Annie's makea frozen Mac n cheese rice pasta? A n d it's OK not bad.. but frozen. Hopefully never HAVE to eat these lol😮😂😂
Hi kids! Ok I'm ready.... 🍽
Hope you enjoy

Oh ya it's April..we getting buried in snow 🌨 🥶😵💫❄️☃️🤶
Fuck the review. I'm loving Andrew's beard
LOL
Maybe play horror movie music when you try scary stuff.
LOL! good idea
@@MakeItDairyFree or the Jaws shark music.
That KRAFT Mac and cheese was nasty! I’m not sure I trust your Mac and cheese pallets. But what can you do with box Mac and cheese?
lol, that's ok, we all have different opinions
Not a fan of rice pasta. IF ITCWAS thd ONLY optionTinkyata brand,,probably spelled wrong is not bad😊
Understandable. You were so close, It's Tinkyada. I didn't know what it was an looked it up LOL
The background music on this video was too loud so very distracting.
Thanks for the feedback
Do not support Daiya! They have made it clear they do not care about animals, and by supporting them it supports the exploitation of these beautiful creatures. The contreversy surrounding them says it all.
No corn allowd in my foods, sorry Daiya.
Daiya always make me sick
I've heard that in the past, thinking maybe the oils, but have you tried any of their newer stuff?
Their ranch dressing is vile 🤢 I tried it years ago so idk if it’s changed.
@@MakeItDairyFreenot yet but I don’t wanna risk getting sick off fake dairy alternatives like this I’d rather eat real ingredients like cashews 😋
Daiya is disgusting. The cheese slices are slimy, the Mac and cheese mixes taste terrible. Yuck.
They have revamped a lot this year, maybe give them another try :)
@@MakeItDairyFree yeah I've tried the new stuff and it's just as bad. I'll stick to real plant foods
Not of fan of Daiya at all! 🤢
I hate Daiya ! All there cheeses taste like butter and or has a bad after taste 🤢
:(
