Great presentation thank you. I’ve had this radio for a short time now and I am very impressed with it. I also have the 935g and the 905g. Very happy with all of them. The large display is awesome. I recommend these radios to everyone. They are second to none

Thank you for the video. I couldn't see some of the pad buttons you were pushing for "enter" and had to set playback speed to 50% because (being a novice), had to slow it all down. But, I'm in (for the most part). Will have to research how to program repeater tone to hopefully utilize the repeater(s) in my area. I was also with the understanding (or assumption) Repeaters were channel specific and only found within the Higher Power Channels ? (Posted April 2024)

How do you change the name across the blue bar that now says "BuyTwoWayRadios" or on the bottom where it says "BTWR"
sure would be helpful to see what keys are being pressed not just the screen shot!
To navigate the menus, use the two keys on top middle of the keypad with up and down arrows on them. You can also use the middle knob at the top of the radio. All the other buttons on the keypad should be labeled with the words and numbers specified in the tutorial.
Same issue here. I just kept hitting up/dn arrows to keep the screen lit until he led into a select step. So i guess the MENU button is also "ENTER" or "SELECT" when scrolling. They also didn't explain if or how the radio remembers these settings until specifically changed. I'm assuming it keeps the programmed Repeater frequency, but not clear on how to set-up or utilize the required "tone" to tag the programmed Repeater tower.

I’m not sure that’s any simpler than just programming directly through the menu.

How did you select repeater you kind of didn’t go over that
At 1:25 we show where to select “repeater” for “Step 1: Channel Type”.
So i just bought and received this radio and ive been programming my channels. I programmed three or four repeaters and i noticed the little W with a plus next to it. The instructions referred to the plus as a repeater channel. The repeaters i programed in where all on repeater channels. However, i noticed the little plus disappeared from some of the repeaters i programed in and it remained on others. Does the plus need to be present for the repeater channels to function correctly? I would test it manually but id have to drive 150 miles to get with in range of the various repeaters.
All repeater channels should be labelled as such. If they aren't, then the channel is registered as a normal GMRS channel. Which method were you using to program the channels? If using the Channel Wizard, make sure to set it as Repeater channel as the Channel Type. Otherwise the radio will set it as a normal channel.
@@BuyTwoWayRadios i dont know that i could explain what ever i did the first time. I reset the radio and went back re-programed all the repeaters. The second time around seemed to correct the issue.
