Signed, but bad idea. There was a project called “PvZ3 What could have been” that got instantly shut down before the game was even made. We need to keep this piece of gold under the radar if we want this to continue without risking legal action.
I would like to add some general advice for the plans of this. Firstly for the art style, realistic graphics are nice, but make sure to sprinkle in some cartoony elements to it to make sure the overall PvZ vibe is still there. Secondly, the character designs of the plant heroes vastly differ from their potted counterparts, so I’d say to keep that in mind when making the new plant classes, and when you redesign guacodile. Third, for the metal variants specifically, add a bit more spice to their design, like Metal Petal being a robotic sunflower, and Armor Chomper being a knight, instead of them being metal plated. Lastly, make sure to keep general balance in mind, as new characters and variants are cool, but no one wants to see the same OP characters and annoying strategies every game so make sure to tweak characters and abilities so that they’re not an instant win, but also that they aren’t useless. I’d suggest getting someone else in on the project who’s more experienced with balancing of games if you can. With that out of the way, I wish you the best of luck with this. Godspeed you beautiful bastard.
Actually about the plant desing, the 4 og where pretty similar to it potted counter part, where just the 3 new plant that where different, but as we see in bfn with snapdragon you don't to change to much about the character desing to make into the game. Also personal opinion: I never like the Citron and kernel corn desing for being to different to the og desing but that's just me
hey man, i just wanted to let you know that i love that you’re doing here. i can relate to having an abundance of fond memories relating to garden warfare 2 and the series all together. i don’t have any ideas to give you currently, but expect me to come back in the next devlog video. this is a great thing you’re doing
Electric Blueberry: Can’t move normally, but using your primary or m1 (hopefully that’s what it’s called in GW) to teleport short distances. Maybe this could be an ammo system where you could chain multiple teleports at a time, but have to wait to get your teleports back. The teleport could also deal a bit of chip damage. Recharging your teleports could also be faster if you stop moving at all. Abilities: Storm cloud: deal good damage AoE around you, probably make is so that it has a startup that slows you down and have you vulnerable for a while after the ability Zap: Shoot a quick moving, piercing projectile, leaving a bit of electricity where it lands. That bit of electricity will wait for ~2.5s before launching a bolt of lightning if a zombie is nearby (nearby could mean REALLY close or be more lenient) Uproot: Makes you do a big jump and let’s you move freely (move with wasd and jump like normal) and quickly for some time. Does disable other abilities, so use it again to cancel Role: can do some chip and burst damage while being hard to catch, though the burst damage options may leave you vulnerable and it can be hard to hit. Note: For zap, to try get the most value out of it, you’ll have to hit the enemy, while also aiming where they’ll probably go to. Or just use it to force them to move somewhere else… maybe just use it as a normal attack and have that 2nd zap as a bonus idk. Also are you planning to add extra gimmicks to this game to set it apart from the other Garden Warfare games? That would probably help with making suggestions. Probably best to name it something to differentiate from GW to minimize the chance of getting EA’d PvZ2 and some mods def have some cool skins to give to Guacodile For the flower pot plants, the manual plants could only attack if a plant player is attacking it. Those being banana launcher, missle toe, holly barrier, jack o lantern, strawburst, coconut cannon and escape roo- wait nvm.
Please dont over rush yourself, as someone who ahs worked on coding passion projects dont overwork youzelf and give yourself time to relax. Everyone in the comments must remember this is super ambitious, and to have naturally low expectations (not in a bad way), good luck on this awesome project that has lots of potential if done right.
You’re actually the coolest guy, and wish u luck with ur passion project. I’d imagine the unused iceberg lettuce hero for BfN would be a cool addition. For me tho an aquatic themed tangle kelp class would be rlly cool. It would kinda look humanoid similar to corn and maybe taking some inspiration from the unused hero in PvZ heroes (navy aesthetic). It’s m1 would could be like stretchy punches from its seaweed arms sort of like from the game Arms. It would have two ammo. With a very short 1-2 second cooldown. Each hit would do like 30-40 dmg. Abilities: Tangle: the Kelp would stretch both its arm and will be able to snare and kidnap an enemy. It would be mid ranged and canceled if the kelp is stunned or knock backed. Enemies would be stunned while being dragged. They won’t be stunned after the animation is finished. Recruits: the Kelp will create a small pond with 2 cattails and 3 sea-shrooms. This would sort of act like a turret. It would deal more dmg the closer enemies get, because the cattails have mid-long while seashrooms have short range. These would do around 15 dps long and 30 dps short, effectively doubling the kelps dmg helping him secure kills. Giant Lillie’s: this ability is similar to the platform gun from Deep Rock Galatic. This allows the kelp to shoot 2 giant Lilly Pads to provide better Positioning for him and his team. The Lillie’s would be permanent or respawn after 20 seconds to allow enemies to get to his position aswell. Overall the Kelp would be a short-mid range unit that fits into the “muffler” class. It excels at positioning but lacks in overall Dps.
You should probably start developing multiplayer as soon as possible. Nearly every dev log I’ve ever seen has had problems switching games from single player to multiplayer.
Very promising demo! My idea for the Guacodile class is for him to be a ranged and melee hybrid. I'll list my ideas for his kit below: Primary: Shoot slow firing seed shots with moderate gravity and medium damage. *Maybe projectile size could increase from each shot fired, and reset at reload. First Ability: Swap primaries for a slow bite attack. The bite attack's damage and speed starts out at less than Chomper's, but increases the longer it is used, but eventually overheats. The speed and damage buff will rapidly diminish when you let go of the trigger. Ability has a short cooldown. *Note that this would probably work better as a secondary primary and maybe the tangle kelp ability could take its place. Second Ability: Release a speedy, seeking 25 HP baby Guacodile drone that controls itself and latches onto the nearest enemy, dealing 50 damage on contact. Ability can stack up to 3 times, and has a 15 second cooldown. Can release all saved stacks all at once, or use it one at a time. Third Ability: Gain a 3x speed boost for 7 seconds, but disable all other abilities. On contact with an enemy during the speed boost duration, bite them for 75 damage and end the speed boost. 35 second cooldown. Third Alternate Ability: Lock on the enemy at a medium range to hastily throw a homing 50 HP tangle kelp at them. Once the tangle kelp is latched on the enemy, it tangles the enemy's primary and secondary weapon, making it unusable for a short period. The tangle kelp on the enemy can be destroyed to remove the tangled effect from the victim.
Looks amazing! Have you considered posting your progress on GameJolt? You could meet people that may want to collaborate in the project. I really hope you can finish this!
I absolutely love the guacodile idea! Heres 3 abilitys I think would be cool: 1. dash burrow: it goes underground and moves quickly in a straight line (basically moe's super from brawl stars, look it up) 2. Baby Guacodile: release a grounded drone out of its mouth that you can control, its fast, small, and has a quick bite of however much damage you think is balanced. also a self destruct like any other drone. 3. A melee bite with a short cooldown allowing it to shoot and bite. sorry if these arent original enough but I think this would be cool
Very nice video, I can't wait to see what you will add next! For the next plant, I think having wall-nut be playable and act a bit like Wrecking Ball from Overwatch with rolling around and stuff would be really cool. Another idea could be Dusk Lobber from PVZ2, it's pretty unique and might work well.
@@senorratgamesyo me and my brother will help you make this game if there is any way we could help like we could be developers and help you make the game up to you but I think adding as guacodiles middle ability should be like his plant food and makes 3 little guacodiles and goes to people and explodes keep up the good work.
@@senorratgamesthen maybe the right ability could be like he charges up a big shot and its a homing shot that slows. That one might be to broken but its still a idea
Maybe Alchemist zombie? I think that one of the shrooms from teh first game like Fume shroom or hypno shroom could be really cool. You could a true sniper class with aspearagus. (again, just throwing out ideas) Red stinger could be great and you could incorperate phase changes into it's moveset. Grimrose or dusk lobber could be a stealth character. Those are all the ideas i could think of (i dont want you to think you have to have all of these) so these are just some (hopefully) helpful concepts. PS: Love the Devlog!
Hey. i just want to say am a OG here. and when you become a popular youtuber. i'll still be here cheering you on. loved this vid, and i'm on all your other vids. you have a very good channel, and you will be very popular soon. i know it
Dont stop bro, this looks sick ❤ And also. Maybe add a plant that only uses a sword, he doesnt shoot any wepon but his speed and jump boost makes up for it, he can deflect some projectiles.
Dang it, I’m learning engineering to be able to make gw3, but ya beat me to it. Great work, I’m rooting for you! I would love to see this game revitalized. When I’m skilled enough, I’ll put my eggs into this basket. Good luck man!! Edit: how about a fisherman zombie concept? One of he’s abilities could be to reel in a plant from far away, picking them off one by one, or taking out a critical part of their team like a sunflower, filling the role of a chopper as a zombie, since super brainz is more of a dps character to me more than anything. He can have a harpoon gun for a primary, except it shoots out something random like shells or fish or so,etching to fit in with the crazy vibe of gw in general, and for mobility, why not make him use the dolphin from the first game, with water appearing in his vicinity for effects, kinda like the shrimp imp’s mech? Might need some fine tuning but I would think it’s something to consider at least. Again, good luck man!
Hi! Recently I also asked myself the question: “What could I add to my own part of GW” and here are a couple of ideas that I came up with: 1) Firstly, I came up with a new Zombie character whose name is "Chicken Wrangler Zombie" (the same name as in PvZ 2), he has 2 revolvers, his main attack is a double shot and the closer the enemy, the more damage he does applied. Regarding his abilities, I’ve come up with 2 so far: 1.1) "It's chicken time" creates several chickens next to itself (with dynamite on their back) and they run towards the nearest enemy, exploding on contact or when they are vanquished. 1.2) “Potion of chikeness”, the hero picks up a special potion and throws it at the enemy, when hit, the enemy turns into a chicken (the ability is similar to Rose’s ability) the chicken is faster than the goat, but its main attack is quickly pecking enemies with little damage. That's all for now, let me know if this idea didn't seem stupid to you or something like that, sorry for the mistakes in the comment, English is not my native language and at the end let me know if you want to hear more ideas from me :)
OMG I LOVE GUACODILE ur doing gods work bringing back this series Also you should add the pvz battle for neighbourvill charactrs theyre pretty cool (dragon rahhh)
Those project is absolutely phenomenal and I can only hope that the game making process goes great and well I got a few plant ideas you could consider which are Chili bean, magic-shroom, and snap pea
If you need plant ideas, than count me in. Moonflower (Plays a lil bit like sunflower) can sumon shadow plants and has a weaker sun beam, some skins include the eclipse flower (She can blur zombies vision a little bit. Also has a soumoner build, kinda like how I thought rose would play in gw2. For zombies I have The Rockstar, he uses his guitar to hit plants up close, also can somoun loudspeakers that stun and damage plants, some skins are Pelvis Esly, and Brainz Bop, and I have The Nerd, one of his varients is The cosplayer, he tricks the plant ai into thinking hes a plant, but not the zombies. Another guacodile varient is salagator, he can shoot out salsa that does splash damage.
This is AMAZING!!! If you actually plan on doing ALL this you could try finding other talented people to help you with this amazing project :0 Or artists to draw concept art that’d be cool
Hey, it’s great that people are continuing the legacy of this series. I think an executioner zombie who works like a less annoying chomper would be cool
Ability Ideas for a Guacodile Left: "Makes Guacodile shoot somewhat debuff bullets to slow enemy, although it does less dmg than a normal one" Mid A: "Makes Guacodile to spawn little mini Guacodiles from its mouth, there's two them that act like piranhas. Will it deals dmg overtime? idk, they could just bite the enemy" Mid B: "Allows Guacodile to switch mode between shoot or bite, how quick is the bite?? Well, its quite less dmg than reg Chomper bite but slightly faster" (A or B?) Right: "A buff that reloads faster" or "Make Guacodile runs faster but slightly slower than peashooter's sprint"
I have some ideas for characters. Plants:Guacadilo(toxic plant)- Coconut Canon(1shot tank)- Banana Laucher(can launch banana through walls)- Onion Mummy(loses defense when damaged) Zombies: Zeuz(throws lightnig and can charge it)- Ninja(fast, walk in walls, changes patern of shots)- Zombie Were-Wolf(the chomper of zombies team)- Cool Grandmother(fast when in wellchair, just like a z-mech but weaker)
You should a Pea pod as a character that upgrades every time you get a kill, like buffing damage or movement speed or even buffing his abilitys of changing then completely while active. Make the max like a 5 kill streak or you could even make it into a ledgendary bar. Goodluck with this project much love ❤.
I think it would be a great idea to make a discord server for this, with a suggestion channel, which would be way easier to read than youtube comments. that being said im looking forward to this project's development and wish you the best of luck!
Hahza! Finally, someone is making it! Okay, so I do got some suggestions for yeahs. 1. being the Grocadile, I believe their main source of attack should be a dash similar to SP. Because of their dash in PVZ 2, and similar to chomper in BFN, that thay can aim to shoot pits. I also think they can be a swim type character like Wildflower. That over time one of there abilities allows for make a copy of themselves, doubling health, damage, and shots. Which would make em a pretty risky ally or a great threat if left alone long enough. 2. Dust Devil, A tough lanky zombie who specializes in Explosives! Having a slow fire rate. There bullets explode on impact on a plant, but if your shot misses, it sticks to the surface it hits and has a delayed and weak explosion. His abilities, - High Noon - Triples his speed while dropping bombs for a few seconds, can't shoot or use other abilities while in this state. - Twister - Summons a small twister to push back plants and speed up zombies that got caught in it. Also stunning plants. - El Bomba- Throws a Mega bomb that explodes after a while and deals HUGE damage 3. Acolyte A Plant Mushroom that specializes in buffing their team, small as night cap. Thay use a book to give Stat boosts, similar to sunflower healing, but doesn't give health. Her main is a poison shot that doesn't deal much damage, but by poisoning the zombies, the damage thay take by other plants greatly increase, Her abilities - Floral Rage - Grants a 3x damage multiplier to a plant for 10 seconds, however it makes them extremely weak and slow after for a few seconds - Cell Wall - Summons a big ring around her, if any plants are in that ring, there Defense greatly increases, - Life Trade - She can connect her health with a nearby plant, if the connected plant takes damage, she takes the damage instead. Well I'm going stop it there before I make the more longer then it is. Best the luck to you on this project
I wish you luck on your creation of GW3 man! In terms of ideas, I think you should make the Chomper Class how it is in GW2 but give them ranged projectiles like in BFN. Making each of them unique would be best. I also think that Guacadile should have a Fire, Toxic, and Armored Variant. I have more ideas but I don't wanna overwhelm you. 😅
Here have 7 suggestions 1. Give guacidle an ability that has a giant bowl of guacamole fall right in front of him that you hop inside and lob giant piles of guacamole 2. Add a miner variant to the engineer (if it’s not already in gw2) 3. Bring back Chester chomper 4.shadow pea 5. Add a non night-cap mushroom class 6. Make a sunflower variant that has a gun 7. New zombie: disco, fires music notes(the variants are based off of different music genres)
Hey man, you are doing a favor to the world and if anyone dares laugh at you remember that you are the only one that had the guts to do it, I hope this video finds every GW2 player and you have tons of support because you deserve it. As long as ideas, I think a cool idea for a zombie class with potential for variants would be a Chef or Cook class, maybe a more supporty class that can have ablities like this: Brainy delight: Leaves a delicious brain on a plate in the floor that after a short time of charging, once a zombie passes above it, it heals them for X amount, can be destroyed if shot at. Rush hour: Gives a movement and slight attack speed boost to yourself and near allyes for X duration. Condiment barrage: shots several shots of varying sauces that in essence are the same as goop, but multiple goops, if that makes sense. His primary could also be like a potato cannon or something, i think this class has a lot of potential because of the huge variety there is in stiles of cooking for class variants, such a spicy cook being a fire variant, or sushi maybe being toxic, also there is a huge assortment of machines that can be used as weapons, so theres that. Good luck!!
Found your channnel at 100 subs, and it has been blowing up ever since, hope you the best for this project and lets hope EA doesnt take it down because looking at your channel, youre pretty talented :D
Characters that sould be in gw3 (including bfn characters) Plants - Guacodile - Melon-pult - Starfruit - Moonflower - Shepherd's sheep (based off of hovergoat) Zombies - Juggernaut - Arsonist - Trash thing - Paladin - Immorticia Also, just a correction. Guacodile is actually a guava, not an avocado. And for the gauco redesign, just give him a proper body lol
I know others have done this but having like a Kamikaze Dash for Guacodile kinda like Self Destruct for Z-Mech would be nice. Not sure how itd work tho Also would you be adding Elemental Variants or just the Variants you have planned for Guacodile? Anyways uh..more Melee Zombies would be nice. Got no ideas on what just that more Melee Zombies would be nice. Anywho for plants..maybe Iceberg Lettuce and Stallia? Just more Support Plants that deal with Buffing(Attack, Defense, Speed, etc) and Debuffing(Slow, Stun, Burn, etc) instead of mainly Healing. Afterall you dont need to Heal to Support
Considering you will likely add old classes back at one point, here’s some ideas for some new variants Bounty Imp: Inspired off of bounty hunters, specifically Boba Fett from the Star Wars franchise, he would look very similar to Boba Fett. He has a default mask called “Bounty Helm” that covers his whole face, thus not letting you customize him until you take it off. As for how he works, he’s a charge up variant, with his first charge dealing 30 damage for his first blaster and 25 for the second (55 in total) for a regular hit, and 35 and 30 (65 in total) for a critical hit. His second charge deals 35 and 40 for a regular hit (75 in total) and 38 and 44 for a critical hit (82 in total) I wont go into specifics about drop off for now, so we move onto the mech. The mech has 350 HP like most mechs. The primary, called “Bounty Bombs” he can fire at will without repercussion, having infinite ammo with no overheat. The bombs fire at roughly half the speed of Missile Madness and will stay on the ground briefly before exploding. If it hits a plant, it will immediately explode. It deals 20 damage for a direct hit, 14 for when it explodes right below them, and 3-6 when they explode farther and farther. The mechs abilities start with “Big Bomb” where the mech fires out a huge Bounty Bomb that deals 200 for a direct hit, 81 when they are right under it, and 12-20 when they are far away. His second ability is called “Homing Missiles”, each one locking on to a plant from at max, high end medium range. Each rocket travels at about the speed of a peashooter in hyper. It fires 4 missiles. That took WAY too long to type so I’ll give you more later
Map idea: Rooftop rush Modes it can be played on: team vanquish, ops, all other modes except turf takeover. The map is a city taken over by the zombies, players will spawn on top of random rooftops and will have to jump to other rooftops. All characters will get a very small speed buff and jump buff. Portals will randomly spawn on the map teleporting you to different rooftops. The main part of the map is a large zombie skyscraper with a spiral staircase around it, helping you get on top of the undead building.
lol this is perfect, I think a good move for the guacodile could be similar to its plant food where it summons mini guacodiles (that do smth, they could be a projectile that does damage over time or mini entities that chase after enemies). I always thought it would be rly cool to see heros (from PvZ hero’s) in a GW game, my suggestion for new characters would be to utilize old characters and turn them into zombies/plants with abilities, I think one of the major drawbacks of neighborvile was that it had this newer cast of characters that didn’t really fit well (but ofc there was still like snapdragon and that astronaut who were from old games, but I feel like they butchered them especially the astronaut). However if you want to add your own OCs I would recommend giving them some kind of charm like the GW2 cast. I don’t expect anything I said here to actually make it cause it’s quite a lot lol but you keep doing what you’re doing and you will make a product of beauty.
I have a great idea for a support plant: shrinking violet. So heres the idea, shrinking violet main idea is to make zombie weaker so her first abilty can make all zombies on a small radius to have lower health and lower attack power and appear a bit smaller Her seconed ability can be to make all plants around her(olso herself) to have more health and attack and appear a bit bigger. And her last ability she can make herself 10X bigger with a ton of more health and damage(basically like the imp's mech) and when shes in thes form both her abilitys have a much lurger hit radius but the affects are the same Her primary weapon can be small energy balls with small splash damage but when shes larger they have a lot more splash damage. Ps.i really hope you will succeed because your work so far looks great, good luck
Random abilities that i thought of: Guacamole; last 15s, 5s cooldown - Guacodile throws up guacamole on the ground which makes opponents slip & slide. Guacodile will be alerted of any enemy standing on it. (they get highlighted) Gator roll; 22s cooldown or 3s if you hit nothing - Bites whatever is infront. Biting an enemy lets you slowly drag them around. Clicking the ability again makes you roll similar to crocodiles death roll, dealing massive damage. Optionally, you can just let go to launch enemies which triggers a 6s cooldown. Chomp slide; 15s cooldown - basically the same thing in pvz2 where it goes down the lane and deals basic damage. However, if triggered while standing on Guacamole, the speed of the Chomp slide is increased by 25%. You can also slide cancel it.
Guacadile ability:big pit:a big rolling pit that slowly rolls forward that you can control. When hits a zombie does 100 damage. If ran out of pit to roll you go back to your original form. Works in water.
I have a partial idea for a character Shrinking Violet: It’s primary is that one shadow flowers bullets Middle ability: debuffs zombies (like Nec’rose) that are in a close range Right ability: it works like sunflowers heal beam but it gives your ally a slight random buff Possible buffs: Speed, +10 health, Faster health regeneration, Damage, Shorter ability cool (ability cooldown is very slight to not make this character to overpowered.) Left ability: you can shrink to possibly get away from dangerous situations (lasts 5-7 seconds)
maybe when you'll get to the enemies (ai zombies) part, you could add zombies that weren't in the original gw and gw2, I always imagined zombies like the balloon zombie or even the miner zombie as 3d enemies, they can have a cool gimmick, I know it's not that big of an idea but I always liked the small stuff in this franchise
Cool plant hero idea: melon pult. (Name is wip) Lobs slow high damage melon projectiles and deal splash damage. Ability one: triple pult (wip) Lob 3 times as many projectiles for a short time Ability 2: shockwave (wip) The next projectile you shoot will shockwave everyone away from the area. Small splash radius and also works on the player Ability 3: scan Works like bloodhounds ability temporarily revealing the position of nearby zombies. 175 health Variants will be straightforward: Winter melon Fire melon Cosmic melon (like cosmic brains with a charge attack and banish) Detonate variant Toxic variant Rapid fire variant And others that I can't think of rn
I think Melon would be an interesting character who specialises in long range heavy damage (another plant tank) I'd imagine he'd lob over long distances a large, high damage projectile, but can only fire three or four before needing to reload. Abilities I think would fit are a player launch ability, where he launches himself (or potentially other plants) forward a long way, A.K.E.E, an explosive projectile that instead of exploding launches six mid-damage projectiles in a hexagon pattern, and a melon storm, which has melon pult shoot several melons into the sky thay fall down around the area they were launched. Variants would be Winter melon (ice variant), Pepper pult (fire variant), toxic melon (toxic variant), Cabbage pult (lower damage but more shots before needing to fire), pirate melon (has something that makes it easier to fire long range), and cut melon (who gains splash damage).
I know I’m a little late to this video and there are so many ability ideas to Guacodile but I’ll give you my ideas about Guacodiles ability number 1 and both are used as getaway abilities, Ability #1 (version 1): splashy dash - uses: 3, dps (damage per second) : 10 upon hitting the enemy in a small circle around Guacodile and during it’s dash, length : about 1/3 of the football zombies dash, cooldown after all three dash uses - 25 seconds for one of it’s abilities to be recharged, Description: upon use of one of it’s ability charges, it does 10 damage around Guacodile in a small circle radius before quickly moving forward in a smallish distance while also dealing 10 damage and knocking back the enemy in front of it’s dash. Ability #1 (version 2): foggy water: completely turns Guacodile invisible for 30 seconds while not moving, if you do move you are only 10% visible to the enemy, cooldown - 45 seconds after the abilities use, special effect - you can only shoot twice before you almost automatically cancel the ability (note if you shoot three times the ability cancels) you also can be 100% visible for a split second before turning invisible again, description: “Picture this: you are low on hp and a pesky enemy sees you and starts attacking you, so what do you do? Turn a corner and cover yourself in murky water camouflaged to enemy’s and leaving them thinking that you run away when you only stoped to take a breather.” And that’s all idk if you’ll see this but if you do then then drink water because it’s good for you 👍
(I actually need to give you my ideas in a huge paragraph) I have an entire google doc of variants and 3 new classes (only for plants rn) Also, for guacodile, you can add tail whip, and maybe a chomper bite
If you want ideas I can have my brother spitball a few with all the junk that comes out of his mouth. One I heard earlier was a Plantern. He thought of it looking much the like one in the first game, but shaped more like a small tree and used tree roots to walk and smaller branches on the sides as arms. I asked him to elaborate on how that would work in a GW setting and he said “It shoots laser beans, duh.” Then I asked him why does it need arms? He walked away.
Origami Variant Ideas: It acts similar to the heavy classes in GW2 but instead of having more HP than speed is instead the opposite, the origami variants will have more speed than HP (EXAMPLE: Peashooters HP would be 100, Sunflowers would be 95, Chompers would be 150 and Cactus would be 75)
For a recreation of the gw design made from scratch this is good! I hope this project gets better in the future! For my idea, I think the banana sundae from pvz heroes would be a funny character. Maybe he can have ice cream based attacks. As for zombies, maybe there can be one that uses a shotgun type weapon. Though I'm not sure what they would be based on.
New class idea (plants Superbrainz similar): Boxer Cabbage Variants: - Karate Cabbage (3 shoots per bullet - Comando like); - Kung Fu Cabbage (Fire Variant); - Ninja Cabbage (walks faster, low health, bullets goes throught various enemys); - Taekwondo Cabbage (like Iron Citron = one bullet and more health, slow); - Monge Cabbage (legendary mode included. If you give people too many shoots they have some seconds paralyzed).
ooo this is amazing!!! also idea for character: spectater. basically imitater if was more tf2 spy-ish. to shoot a projectile, it disguises its head or face as a peashooter ot shoot at zombies. as for 3 main abilitys: one. disguise as a nearby zombie. could be both players and the npc ones. two.backstab. yeah.... didnt lie when i said tf2. three. spin fast enough till you spawn a mini tornado to damage zombies a bit. thoughts?
HI!!! I’d love to help out more with creative stuff. Honestly Guacodile could be used as a support character. hear me out. PVZ has plant food which gives the plants a super move, and since guacodile spits out seeds maybe one of its abilities could be to shoot a seed that has a splash radius which can do two things. One. It deals 25 damage to zombies within the splash radius . Two. It gives plants a speed and dmg boost that lasts 12 seconds. Its recharge should be 45 seconds. I do think adding a dash makes sense as it’s sort of replicates its gimmick in PVz2, maybe dealing 35 dng than citron’s ball but could be used twice to give it extra mobility. Lastly it would be cool if it did have a use with its tail. The tail could serve two purposes as well. One. It launches the croc in the air like rocket leap. Two. It releases shockwave that knock back zombies nearby as in melee range. This also does 10 dmg. This would recharge after 30 seconds.
One cool zombie variant could be the sun pharaoh. Its main ability would also be a beam as citron. Its first ability could be a siphon beam which turns its beam red and restores hp to itself, about half of its normal dps. Its recharge should be around 25 seconds. Two. It transforms into a swarm of locusts which makes it move faster and take half damage, this inflict dmg to plants. The transformation lasts 12 seconds and deals 3 damage. Its recharge is 30 seconds. Lastly it can cause a pillar of red light centered on itself which grants it and nearby zombies (melee range) a speed and dmg boost. Plants caught in the column do not heal. The effect has a meter and it gets expended upon movement or if it chooses to end the light. (Maybe the light enhances the dmg from the locusts from 3 to 5?)
I will also say something that still bothers me is the lack of range chomped has in GW and hp. I think his hp should be 200 to really help it tank ranged hits. If you don’t mind i think chomper needs an update on abilities. Goop I believe should be turned into a ranged attack as in snapdragon’s bfn but it can also slow zombies down by a little. Maybe after two or three hits it immobilizes zombies like it does in GW. One. (Hungry!) Chomper uses its tongue to wrap a zombie and eating it (close to mid range) and its digestion is sped up this way. This should recharge in 25 seconds. One a. Goop should adopt bfn’s design. Two. Burrow could be tweaked to have a minor speed buff to go underground. Three. Spikeweed from GW1 works just fine, especially since it auto broke armor spawned zombies. I would really love if we kept the animation from GW1 where the camper jumped from burrow to swallow the caught zombie.
I'd recommend a mushroom class obviously, but something I personally want to see is a bonk choy class, as sort of a rival to super brainz i think you could definitely make a support class for the zombies based on the flag zombie, with a special move that throws a flag as an attack, but if it lands on the ground it'll provide an area where other zombies are buffed, maybe it's main attack is a flag revolver which slows plants but only has 6 shots with slow reload, different skins/variants based on the different time periods from 2 a mushroom class could also act as a counter part to this being another plant support class, perhaps it focuses more on debuffing the zombies instead of buffing it's team this is extremely wishful thinking but it'd be great if there was a game mode where you could play as all the bosses for either side and it's just all the bosses going against each other
On of guacadiles abilities could be a big close range bite that could be like a single shot from a more powerful version of chemists primary. For zombie ideas, a jester zombie could be cool.
I always wanted to see Bonk Choy in garden warfare. Please add him in this game, it would be amazing to play a pure melee character in a game like this. You can balance it by making the player repeatedly hit a button. I also think that Zoybean is another amazing idea for this game. His main gimmick is that he can create Zomboids made of tofu. This would be a very interesting mechanic in garden warfare aswell. Anyways, good luck! Let’s hope this isn’t another PvZ: Original Edition…
Oh wow this is so cool. If you need ideas for characters, 80s Action Hero for the zombies will be cool, and Scorpoison Grass from PvZ Beautiful Town mod would be lit.
Horde This isnt a special zombie, but instead a group of basic zombies that you can control as a whole. They attack automatically at anythingnin their melee range, and to take out the Horde you have to kill every zombie it has First ability: "Charge!" 30 second cooldown. All zombies in your group get 10% faster movement and attack speed, if theres atleast one flag zombie alive in the group it will be 15% Second ability: "Join us!" 10 second cooldown. Nearby zombies will join your group (cant exceed maximum group count) Third ability: "Form!" 5 second cooldown. The formation of your zombies will change: Square (the default formation), Line (zombies will form a horizontal line), Scrambled (zombies will go to random spots of the formation, bucketheads and coneheads will still be at the front) All formations do one thing: The toughest zombies at the front (bucketheads, then coneheads) and the weakest or support zombies at the back (browncoats behind coneheads, and flag zombies stay in the middle) Variants can include different types of zombie hordes, so for example, a variant named "Armored" where there are no coneheads or browncoats, instead there are 7 bucketheads, "Car Stoppers" that consists of a group of only coneheads (maybe like 14), and "Coats" which is all browncoats (maybe like 20). The default horde has 3 bucket heads, 4 coneheads, 6 browncoats and 2 flag zombies In my opinion, there shouldnt be more than 1 Horde player alive and if the Horde player dies, there should be a 15 second cooldown before anyone gets to play as Horde, because if you got more than one Horde players it would cause even more lag and also make it so you have to somehow kill like 20 bucketheads charging at you which would be quite hard Also, if you made the zombies you should probably make them look different so EA doesnt put you in trouble
It’s very rough around the edges but it’s intriguing. If I had a plant class I always wanted in the game, it would be Bonk Choy. He feels like the perfect parallel to super brainz, but I know we already have chomper as the melee plant so maybe he could be diversified with abilities. His main attack would obviously be a punching combo style attack, with a base health of at least 200, maybe 225? (I'm not good with balancing). His speed would be slightly faster than most base classes, making him something the zombies should be afraid of when he charges at them. As for ability concepts... Scyther: For a alternative fire (right click), since bonk Choy feels very martial arts themed, perhaps he could perform a “scyther” kind of move that sucks an enemy at a short range towards him? It would have a pretty major cooldown but I feel like it helps with one of the biggest problems melee classes have, which is getting close in the first place. It could have a small charge up animation to give the enemy a chance to move out of the way possibly? Flora Frenzy: I feel like the most obvious ability would be giving him his rapid punch from his plantfood, as kind of a similar ability to super brainz’s tornado. Maybe instead of being purely melee though, it could reflect projectiles back at zombies? (Like jester, or tf2 pyros airblast). It should also be dangerous to be in range of, instead of super brainz's tornado where he tickles you. Uppercut: For this ability, Bonk Choy would charge towards an enemy at a medium speed, spinning his fist, before uppercutting them, sending himself and the enemy he hits flying upwards in the air. The enemy ragdolls (similar to All star's tackle causing characters to ragdoll) while Bonk is free to move or punch the target. This could work as both a movement option for BC, but also be risky as it he is left defenseless from ranged classes until he's back on the ground. Unnamed Solar Tomato Ability: When used, Bonk choy will toss a solar tomato where you aim, creating a small AOE. Any zombie caught in the AOE will start creating suns when they're damaged, helping bonk choy stay in a fight for longer. You could also have a variant of this bomb that gives a large healing boost only when an enemy is killed instead. Hope this helps give some kind of ideas, maybe I'll try to uh... "brainstorm" more ideas soon. Good luck with the project ^^
I think it would be epic if variants like the snap pea (you decide if it’s a peashooter or chomper variant) or a primal sunflower variant were in pvzgw3. Also blast spinner, fume shroom and that jester zombie in pvz2 dark ages would be cool as playable characters.
Wondering about like a big floor hazard ability (creates a large zone that damages zombies and makes em slip around) like a reverse goop type beat Call it Salsa Slick mayhaps? Can't wait to see where this goes!
i think a gargantuar would be a cool zombie class, since it has many variants across all of the games primary - could be a basic melee swing secondary - a smash that does more damage, but it also stops your own movement and takes longer to use left ability - a high jump followed by a slam (mobility) middle ability - shoots out an imp from the compartment on the back, does damage on impact and spawns an imp based on the variant (ranged atk) right ability - imo gargantuar should be a tank so it would make sense if he had a shield of some sort, either a placeable one or a held one if you see this and decide to use it, feel free to change anything since idk if this is balanced or not
for a game mode you could make team vanquish+ where only variants and 100 kills guacadile variant-rockadile shoots slow heavy damaging rock at zombies stuninng them
i think his first ability should be the mini guacodiles that appear from guacodiles plantfood ability in pvz2. the ability will have 3 charges and each time the player uses the ability, the guacodile will slowdown for a second, then shoot out one of the small guacodiles. the small guacodiles will have a slightly average but fast movement speed, it’ll have homing, the damage per guacodile is 15 (45 in total). it would basically work like snapdragons blazing blue but weaker and it has multiple charges… and that the small guacodiles are on the floor and not actually floating 💀💀💀. the second ability i thought of: is a dash-bite ability, similar to all-stars sprint tackle just without the knockack and it’ll do 25 damage instead of 50, slightly longer windup and the player can dash in any direction the player is aiming their crosshair (yes including up into the air). his third ability could be a spinning tail whip ability that does 25 damage, knocking zombies back away from him (this could potentially combo with the bite dash but it’ll be slightly hard to do)
Add puff shroom as plant imp equivalent who would be a short range shotgun (similar to marine biologist) with abilities: 1. Teleport - disappears in the ground like in pvz2 and reappears several meters ahead 2. Growth - grows into a huge puff shroom (resembles z-mech) 3. Spores cloud - releases a cloud of spores that damages enemies (like soldier's stink cloud)
let's add another one, how about a plant? drypea. main attack: shoot bone peas that deal 20 damage. 10% chance of a killed opponent to revive as a drypea with 50 health. only one ally can exist at a time. ability 1: Dry dig. go underground and damage any zombie standing on you. 10 damage per second while they are standing on you. ability has a 15 sec cooldown. ability 2, bone cluster. shoot a massive cluster of bones dealing 100 damage on impact. when it hits the ground or a zombie, it explodes into 10 smaller bones each dealing 10 damage when they hit a zombie. ability 3, bone breath. shoot a large 3x3 area with bone breath. when a zombie is in the area of the bone breath, they will take 25 damage a second. the bone breath has a 30 sec recharge and disappears in 5 secs. heart if you like the idea.
Gauc’s abilitys could be cool like 1:speed boost and anything in the way takes like 50-75 damage (basically what would happen if you combined both of citrons ball form abilitys) 2:spawn mini guacs (basically weeds but faster and tankier) up to like 2 3:either a dive(burrow like move) or tail slam (kinda like the dinos from infinity time) could also be an defense buff Would also like it if gauc could be like a hybrid peashooter and chomper except it can’t sallow only chomp and giving it a bigger and proper body like the gw2 plants could be good too (For example make it look like leatherback from “teenage mutant ninja turtles”)
Idea for the Guacodile's Abilities: Ability 1: Seed Bomb “Lobs a heavier Avocado Seed out which explodes on impact and deals damage to any foe within a small radius of its landing point.” - This ability deals 40 direct damage and 15 splash damage with a 25 second cooldown; 55 damage total on a direct hit. The projectile has a moderate speed with a heavy arc, limiting it in range, so best to use it at close to medium range. Would require a bit of skill to nail direct hits with. Ability 2: Chomp Rush “Guacodile quickly charges forward, running opponents over, biting, and knocking them back a short distance.” - While this is a dash move, yes, however Guacodile in PvZ 2 already does this on death, so it fits perfectly here. The dash would allow for Guacodile to move faster, but not by too much. About 2-3m/s faster than his normal speed. During which any enemies he runs into would take 35 damage and be knocked back a short distance (about 3-4m away). However, if you angle the ability great, you can hit the same enemy again, accumulating more damage and knockback. The dash lasts for 3 seconds before the ability goes onto a 30 second cooldown. Ability 3: Vine Climb “Guacodile quickly plants a vine on the ground that rapidly grows into a platform for allies to climb and use as new high ground.” - This vine would take around 3 seconds before it would become useful. Afterwards any Ally can quickly climb up it to which a small platform would be at its top. Simple, but effective ability. However, here’s the catch, the vine itself has a weak 75HP which would cause the vine to die and drop whoever is on the platform. This includes any Wall-Nut defenses your Cactus had set up. Enemies can also take advantage of the platform too, so keep that in mind. Up to 2 Vines can exist from the same Guacodile before the oldest of the vines despawns to place a new one (like potato mines or wall-nuts when you exceed the max limit of them). Once placed the ability will need a 40 second cooldown to recharge.
you are so cool, this is so cool also if you are gonna add the gargs (when are you gonna add the zombies and stuff) can you add the Wizard Gargantuar. you are still so cool
I hope this game becomes a reality. This guy is doing god's work.

The guacadile could shoot out three smaller homing guacadiles as its ability. Like its plant food
That could be the middle ability
alt from scp 682 weaker but 2x more hp take 50% lass damage and better regain
As it is in pvz 2 I’m sure this is obvious but one of his abilities should be a high damaging dash
This may seem like a stretch, but one of the abilities would be summoning smaller guacodiles like in pvz 2.
@@lennygebbs8009 if that happens, then they should have the hp of a garlic drone and the ai of a normal gauc

Also personal opinion: I never like the Citron and kernel corn desing for being to different to the og desing but that's just me
@@riber2233that's because it's the heroes citron and the corn is also from PvZ heroes, but a card
@MaskedColorzzzz pvz heroes was released on october 2016 meanwhile pvzgw2 was on February 2016
I would say the metal petal you can rename in to cyborg petal
Maybe add a bonk choy class similar to the super brainz class
Aw hell yeah

Hey Gavin :^)
hey man, i just wanted to let you know that i love that you’re doing here. i can relate to having an abundance of fond memories relating to garden warfare 2 and the series all together. i don’t have any ideas to give you currently, but expect me to come back in the next devlog video. this is a great thing you’re doing
Electric Blueberry:
Can’t move normally, but using your primary or m1 (hopefully that’s what it’s called in GW) to teleport short distances. Maybe this could be an ammo system where you could chain multiple teleports at a time, but have to wait to get your teleports back. The teleport could also deal a bit of chip damage. Recharging your teleports could also be faster if you stop moving at all.
Abilities:
Storm cloud: deal good damage AoE around you, probably make is so that it has a startup that slows you down and have you vulnerable for a while after the ability
Zap: Shoot a quick moving, piercing projectile, leaving a bit of electricity where it lands. That bit of electricity will wait for ~2.5s before launching a bolt of lightning if a zombie is nearby (nearby could mean REALLY close or be more lenient)
Uproot: Makes you do a big jump and let’s you move freely (move with wasd and jump like normal) and quickly for some time. Does disable other abilities, so use it again to cancel
Role: can do some chip and burst damage while being hard to catch, though the burst damage options may leave you vulnerable and it can be hard to hit.
Probably best to name it something to differentiate from GW to minimize the chance of getting EA’d
PvZ2 and some mods def have some cool skins to give to Guacodile
For the flower pot plants, the manual plants could only attack if a plant player is attacking it.
Interesting! :0

Abilities:
Tangle: the Kelp would stretch both its arm and will be able to snare and kidnap an enemy.
This guy is the person who isn’t scared to take action. I hope this GW3 of yours is a success!!! 🙏🏻
You just got a new sub!
We need people like this
Very promising demo!
My idea for the Guacodile class is for him to be a ranged and melee hybrid. I'll list my ideas for his kit below:
Primary: Shoot slow firing seed shots with moderate gravity and medium damage.
Wallnut has to become a character maybe the attacks can reference the bowling mini game or heck even the endurian
Maybe add a tail spin ability on the guac, similar to what Super Brainz has
Call it the ‘Guacamelee’
If you add snap pea MY SOUL IS YOURS
SAME I SWEAR TO GOD I NEED THIS VARIANT

Snap pea should be obtained through a secret quest line due to it being 2 characters in one

Looks amazing! Have you considered posting your progress on GameJolt? You could meet people that may want to collaborate in the project. I really hope you can finish this!
I absolutely love the guacodile idea! Heres 3 abilitys I think would be cool:
1. dash burrow: it goes underground and moves quickly in a straight line (basically moe's super from brawl stars, look it up)
Cool ideas! I will definitely add these in the future
@@senorratgamesyo me and my brother will help you make this game if there is any way we could help like we could be developers and help you make the game up to you but I think adding as guacodiles middle ability should be like his plant food and makes 3 little guacodiles and goes to people and explodes keep up the good work.
@@senorratgames and then left abilità should be a ability where he swing his tail in a circle and damages and nocks back quite a bit
Hey. i just want to say am a OG here. and when you become a popular youtuber. i'll still be here cheering you on. loved this vid, and i'm on all your other vids. you have a very good channel, and you will be very popular soon. i know it
Dont stop bro, this looks sick ❤
And also.
Regarding his abilities, I’ve come up with 2 so far:
1.1) "It's chicken time" creates several chickens next to itself (with dynamite on their back) and they run towards the nearest enemy, exploding on contact or when they are vanquished.
OMG I LOVE GUACODILE ur doing gods work bringing back this series
Also you should add the pvz battle for neighbourvill charactrs theyre pretty cool (dragon rahhh)
God bless your SOUL and gl with this project dude. You have our praises and blessing
Those project is absolutely phenomenal and I can only hope that the game making process goes great and well I got a few plant ideas you could consider which are Chili bean, magic-shroom, and snap pea
Cattail as a character would be sick
If you actually plan on doing ALL this you could try finding other talented people to help you with this amazing project :0
Or artists to draw concept art that’d be cool
THIS MAN.... HE IS THE BEST IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT
Hey, it’s great that people are continuing the legacy of this series. I think an executioner zombie who works like a less annoying chomper would be cool
Ability Ideas for a Guacodile
Left: "Makes Guacodile shoot somewhat debuff bullets to slow enemy, although it does less dmg than a normal one"
Mid A: "Makes Guacodile to spawn little mini Guacodiles from its mouth, there's two them that act like piranhas. Will it deals dmg overtime? idk, they could just bite the enemy"
Mid B: "Allows Guacodile to switch mode between shoot or bite, how quick is the bite?? Well, its quite less dmg than reg Chomper bite but slightly faster"
(A or B?)
Right: "A buff that reloads faster" or "Make Guacodile runs faster but slightly slower than peashooter's sprint"
I have some ideas for characters.
Plants:Guacadilo(toxic plant)- Coconut Canon(1shot tank)- Banana Laucher(can launch banana through walls)- Onion Mummy(loses defense when damaged)
Zombies: Zeuz(throws lightnig and can charge it)- Ninja(fast, walk in walls, changes patern of shots)- Zombie Were-Wolf(the chomper of zombies team)- Cool Grandmother(fast when in wellchair, just like a z-mech but weaker)
I may have never played the garden warfare games (I am broke af), But I know a lot of fans of the Gw series. Wishing you the best of luck man!
Hahza!
Finally, someone is making it!
Okay, so I do got some suggestions for yeahs.
1. being the Grocadile,
I believe their main source of attack should be a dash similar to SP.
2. Dust Devil,
A tough lanky zombie who specializes in Explosives!
Having a slow fire rate.
There bullets explode on impact on a plant, but if your shot misses, it sticks to the surface it hits and has a delayed and weak explosion.
His abilities,
- High Noon -
Triples his speed while dropping bombs for a few seconds, can't shoot or use other abilities while in this state.
- Twister -
Summons a small twister to push back plants and speed up zombies that got caught in it. Also stunning plants.
- El Bomba-
Throws a Mega bomb that explodes after a while and deals HUGE damage
3. Acolyte
A Plant Mushroom that specializes in buffing their team, small as night cap.
Thay use a book to give Stat boosts, similar to sunflower healing, but doesn't give health.
Her main is a poison shot that doesn't deal much damage, but by poisoning the zombies, the damage thay take by other plants greatly increase,
Her abilities
- Floral Rage -
Grants a 3x damage multiplier to a plant for 10 seconds, however it makes them extremely weak and slow after for a few seconds
- Cell Wall -
Summons a big ring around her, if any plants are in that ring, there Defense greatly increases,
- Life Trade -
She can connect her health with a nearby plant, if the connected plant takes damage, she takes the damage instead.
Here have 7 suggestions
1. Give guacidle an ability that has a giant bowl of guacamole fall right in front of him that you hop inside and lob giant piles of guacamole
2. Add a miner variant to the engineer (if it’s not already in gw2)
3. Bring back Chester chomper
4.shadow pea
5. Add a non night-cap mushroom class
6. Make a sunflower variant that has a gun
7. New zombie: disco, fires music notes(the variants are based off of different music genres)
Hey man, you are doing a favor to the world and if anyone dares laugh at you remember that you are the only one that had the guts to do it, I hope this video finds every GW2 player and you have tons of support because you deserve it. As long as ideas, I think a cool idea for a zombie class with potential for variants would be a Chef or Cook class, maybe a more supporty class that can have ablities like this:
Brainy delight: Leaves a delicious brain on a plate in the floor that after a short time of charging, once a zombie passes above it, it heals them for X amount, can be destroyed if shot at.
Characters that sould be in gw3 (including bfn characters)
Plants
- Guacodile
- Melon-pult
- Starfruit
- Moonflower
- Shepherd's sheep (based off of hovergoat)
Zombies
- Juggernaut
- Arsonist
- Trash thing
- Paladin
- Immorticia
Also, just a correction. Guacodile is actually a guava, not an avocado. And for the gauco redesign, just give him a proper body lol
I know others have done this but having like a Kamikaze Dash for Guacodile kinda like Self Destruct for Z-Mech would be nice. Not sure how itd work tho
Also would you be adding Elemental Variants or just the Variants you have planned for Guacodile?
Anyways uh..more Melee Zombies would be nice. Got no ideas on what just that more Melee Zombies would be nice.
Anywho for plants..maybe Iceberg Lettuce and Stallia? Just more Support Plants that deal with Buffing(Attack, Defense, Speed, etc) and Debuffing(Slow, Stun, Burn, etc) instead of mainly Healing. Afterall you dont need to Heal to Support
Ooooh, interesting! I think a Wall-Nut class could be pretty cool!
Technically, Wall-Nut already exists with a few of The Cactus' abilities
@@WolfofFrost Yeah, I've played all the shooters, and I know that, but I think it'd still be cool regardless!
@@KinbageCabbage It'd still be interesting to see! In BFN, Snapdragon got upgraded to playable character, so it's not impossible
I’d like to see wall-knight from pvz heroes as a class
I have no words... Dude, this is great!
Considering you will likely add old classes back at one point, here’s some ideas for some new variants
Bounty Imp: Inspired off of bounty hunters, specifically Boba Fett from the Star Wars franchise, he would look very similar to Boba Fett.
Map idea:
Rooftop rush
Modes it can be played on: team vanquish, ops, all other modes except turf takeover.
So heres the idea, shrinking violet main idea is to make zombie weaker so her first abilty can make all zombies on a small radius to have lower health and lower attack power and appear a bit smaller
Her seconed ability can be to make all plants around her(olso herself) to have more health and attack and appear a bit bigger.
And her last ability she can make herself 10X bigger with a ton of more health and damage(basically like the imp's mech) and when shes in thes form both her abilitys have a much lurger hit radius but the affects are the same
Her primary weapon can be small energy balls with small splash damage but when shes larger they have a lot more splash damage.
Ps.i really hope you will succeed because your work so far looks great, good luck
Ngl the imitater as a support character that lowers ally cooldowns could be incredible since it mimicks what the imitater is actually used for in game
Random abilities that i thought of:
Guacamole; last 15s, 5s cooldown - Guacodile throws up guacamole on the ground which makes opponents slip & slide. Guacodile will be alerted of any enemy standing on it. (they get highlighted)
Gator roll; 22s cooldown or 3s if you hit nothing - Bites whatever is infront.
What i liked to see is all the characters, new variants for each class, new maps, and new gamemodes, and new customizable
You should add the variants from gw1 that didn't make it to gw2 like the berry shooter, citrus cactus, chester scientist/chomper etc.
I have a partial idea for a character
Shrinking Violet:
It’s primary is that one shadow flowers bullets
Middle ability: debuffs zombies (like Nec’rose) that are in a close range
Right ability: it works like sunflowers heal beam but it gives your ally a slight random buff
Possible buffs: Speed, +10 health, Faster health regeneration, Damage, Shorter ability cool (ability cooldown is very slight to not make this character to overpowered.)
Left ability: you can shrink to possibly get away from dangerous situations (lasts 5-7 seconds)
seems promising, I will gladly help you with backend and multiplayer stuff if you want.
I am looking forward to seeing this come to fruition. I wish you luck on this project; you're doing the Lord's work.
maybe when you'll get to the enemies (ai zombies) part, you could add zombies that weren't in the original gw and gw2, I always imagined zombies like the balloon zombie or even the miner zombie as 3d enemies, they can have a cool gimmick, I know it's not that big of an idea but I always liked the small stuff in this franchise
Cool plant hero idea: melon pult. (Name is wip)
Lobs slow high damage melon projectiles and deal splash damage.
Ability one: triple pult (wip)
Lob 3 times as many projectiles for a short time
Ability 2: shockwave (wip)
The next projectile you shoot will shockwave everyone away from the area. Small splash radius and also works on the player
Ability 3: scan
Works like bloodhounds ability temporarily revealing the position of nearby zombies.
175 health
Variants will be straightforward:
Winter melon
Fire melon
Cosmic melon (like cosmic brains with a charge attack and banish)
Detonate variant
Toxic variant
Rapid fire variant
And others that I can't think of rn
I think Melon would be an interesting character who specialises in long range heavy damage (another plant tank)
I'd imagine he'd lob over long distances a large, high damage projectile, but can only fire three or four before needing to reload.
Some sort of Pumpkin class would be really cool
I know I’m a little late to this video and there are so many ability ideas to Guacodile but I’ll give you my ideas about Guacodiles ability number 1 and both are used as getaway abilities,
Ability #1 (version 1): splashy dash - uses: 3, dps (damage per second) : 10 upon hitting the enemy in a small circle around Guacodile and during it’s dash, length : about 1/3 of the football zombies dash, cooldown after all three dash uses - 25 seconds for one of it’s abilities to be recharged,
Description: upon use of one of it’s ability charges, it does 10 damage around Guacodile in a small circle radius before quickly moving forward in a smallish distance while also dealing 10 damage and knocking back the enemy in front of it’s dash.
Turn a corner and cover yourself in murky water camouflaged to enemy’s and leaving them thinking that you run away when you only stoped to take a breather.” And that’s all idk if you’ll see this but if you do then then drink water because it’s good for you 👍
(I actually need to give you my ideas in a huge paragraph) I have an entire google doc of variants and 3 new classes (only for plants rn)
Also, for guacodile, you can add tail whip, and maybe a chomper bite
This looks cool. I had thought about making a Garden Warfare inspired shooter in the future. Keep up the good work.
Origami Variant Ideas:
It acts similar to the heavy classes in GW2 but instead of having more HP than speed is instead the opposite, the origami variants will have more speed than HP
(EXAMPLE: Peashooters HP would be 100, Sunflowers would be 95, Chompers would be 150 and Cactus would be 75)
For a recreation of the gw design made from scratch this is good! I hope this project gets better in the future!
For my idea, I think the banana sundae from pvz heroes would be a funny character. Maybe he can have ice cream based attacks.
As for zombies, maybe there can be one that uses a shotgun type weapon. Though I'm not sure what they would be based on.
To be fair, we already have 2 shotgun characters in GW, Pirate and Scientist, so a third would probably be redundant.
New class idea (plants Superbrainz similar): Boxer Cabbage
Variants:
- Karate Cabbage (3 shoots per bullet - Comando like);
- Kung Fu Cabbage (Fire Variant);
- Ninja Cabbage (walks faster, low health, bullets goes throught various enemys);
- Taekwondo Cabbage (like Iron Citron = one bullet and more health, slow);
- Monge Cabbage (legendary mode included. If you give people too many shoots they have some seconds paralyzed).
add a cherry bomb class, they like throw cherries that explode (you can detonate them by pressing again kinda like Ppea or Cap'n Cannon)
ooo this is amazing!!!
also idea for character: spectater.
basically imitater if was more tf2 spy-ish.
to shoot a projectile, it disguises its head or face as a peashooter ot shoot at zombies. as for 3 main abilitys:
one. disguise as a nearby zombie. could be both players and the npc ones.
two.backstab. yeah.... didnt lie when i said tf2.
three. spin fast enough till you spawn a mini tornado to damage zombies a bit. thoughts?
Extra idea: There was concept art for redesigned GW1 maps in GW2 (Main Street-Brain Street e.g.) pergaps you could bring those into this game?
I do think 80s, Wizard, Nightcap, and Acorn could also work well. Though maybe some changes.
Edit. While in locust form it cannot be swallowed by chomp or burrow.
I'd reccommend watching twilight chomper enthusiast's videos on what he would like to see in gw3 to get ideas
I'd recommend a mushroom class obviously, but something I personally want to see is a bonk choy class, as sort of a rival to super brainz
i think you could definitely make a support class for the zombies based on the flag zombie, with a special move that throws a flag as an attack, but if it lands on the ground it'll provide an area where other zombies are buffed, maybe it's main attack is a flag revolver which slows plants but only has 6 shots with slow reload, different skins/variants based on the different time periods from 2
a mushroom class could also act as a counter part to this being another plant support class, perhaps it focuses more on debuffing the zombies instead of buffing it's team
this is extremely wishful thinking but it'd be great if there was a game mode where you could play as all the bosses for either side and it's just all the bosses going against each other
On of guacadiles abilities could be a big close range bite that could be like a single shot from a more powerful version of chemists primary.
Horde
This isnt a special zombie, but instead a group of basic zombies that you can control as a whole. They attack automatically at anythingnin their melee range, and to take out the Horde you have to kill every zombie it has
First ability: "Charge!" 30 second cooldown. All zombies in your group get 10% faster movement and attack speed, if theres atleast one flag zombie alive in the group it will be 15%
Second ability: "Join us!" 10 second cooldown. Nearby zombies will join your group (cant exceed maximum group count)
Third ability: "Form!" 5 second cooldown. The formation of your zombies will change: Square (the default formation), Line (zombies will form a horizontal line), Scrambled (zombies will go to random spots of the formation, bucketheads and coneheads will still be at the front)
All formations do one thing: The toughest zombies at the front (bucketheads, then coneheads) and the weakest or support zombies at the back (browncoats behind coneheads, and flag zombies stay in the middle)
Variants can include different types of zombie hordes, so for example, a variant named "Armored" where there are no coneheads or browncoats, instead there are 7 bucketheads, "Car Stoppers" that consists of a group of only coneheads (maybe like 14), and "Coats" which is all browncoats (maybe like 20). The default horde has 3 bucket heads, 4 coneheads, 6 browncoats and 2 flag zombies
In my opinion, there shouldnt be more than 1 Horde player alive and if the Horde player dies, there should be a 15 second cooldown before anyone gets to play as Horde, because if you got more than one Horde players it would cause even more lag and also make it so you have to somehow kill like 20 bucketheads charging at you which would be quite hard
Also, if you made the zombies you should probably make them look different so EA doesnt put you in trouble
Scyther:
For a alternative fire (right click), since bonk Choy feels very martial arts themed, perhaps he could perform a “scyther” kind of move that sucks an enemy at a short range towards him? It would have a pretty major cooldown but I feel like it helps with one of the biggest problems melee classes have, which is getting close in the first place. It could have a small charge up animation to give the enemy a chance to move out of the way possibly?
Flora Frenzy:
I feel like the most obvious ability would be giving him his rapid punch from his plantfood, as kind of a similar ability to super brainz’s tornado. Maybe instead of being purely melee though, it could reflect projectiles back at zombies? (Like jester, or tf2 pyros airblast). It should also be dangerous to be in range of, instead of super brainz's tornado where he tickles you.
Uppercut:
For this ability, Bonk Choy would charge towards an enemy at a medium speed, spinning his fist, before uppercutting them, sending himself and the enemy he hits flying upwards in the air. The enemy ragdolls (similar to All star's tackle causing characters to ragdoll) while Bonk is free to move or punch the target. This could work as both a movement option for BC, but also be risky as it he is left defenseless from ranged classes until he's back on the ground.
Unnamed Solar Tomato Ability:
When used, Bonk choy will toss a solar tomato where you aim, creating a small AOE.
Bless YT for getting this into my homepage.
Now this is cool, nice work man! :D
I think it would be epic if variants like the snap pea (you decide if it’s a peashooter or chomper variant) or a primal sunflower variant were in pvzgw3. Also blast spinner, fume shroom and that jester zombie in pvz2 dark ages would be cool as playable characters.
Oh man! You don't know how excited I am. I really hope EA doesn't shut this down.
A spearton zombie would be pretty cool it also ties into gw2's time travel theme sadly I cant find the abilities I made up for it.
Wondering about like a big floor hazard ability (creates a large zone that damages zombies and makes em slip around) like a reverse goop type beat
Call it Salsa Slick mayhaps?
Can't wait to see where this goes!
A reworked gravedigger which has a shovel melee weapon and excavator, tomb raiser, and other variants
Would be
Interesting
i think a gargantuar would be a cool zombie class, since it has many variants across all of the games
primary - could be a basic melee swing
secondary - a smash that does more damage, but it also stops your own movement and takes longer to use
left ability - a high jump followed by a slam (mobility)
middle ability - shoots out an imp from the compartment on the back, does damage on impact and spawns an imp based on the variant (ranged atk)
right ability - imo gargantuar should be a tank so it would make sense if he had a shield of some sort, either a placeable one or a held one
if you see this and decide to use it, feel free to change anything since idk if this is balanced or not
His shield can be a house like the boss variant
for a game mode you could make team vanquish+ where only variants and 100 kills
guacadile variant-rockadile shoots slow heavy damaging rock at zombies stuninng them
This is actually amazing ive loved the franchise for over 10 years and im happy so many people still care for it
i think his first ability should be the mini guacodiles that appear from guacodiles plantfood ability in pvz2. the ability will have 3 charges and each time the player uses the ability, the guacodile will slowdown for a second, then shoot out one of the small guacodiles. the small guacodiles will have a slightly average but fast movement speed, it’ll have homing, the damage per guacodile is 15 (45 in total). it would basically work like snapdragons blazing blue but weaker and it has multiple charges… and that the small guacodiles are on the floor and not actually floating 💀💀💀. the second ability i thought of: is a dash-bite ability, similar to all-stars sprint tackle just without the knockack and it’ll do 25 damage instead of 50, slightly longer windup and the player can dash in any direction the player is aiming their crosshair (yes including up into the air). his third ability could be a spinning tail whip ability that does 25 damage, knocking zombies back away from him (this could potentially combo with the bite dash but it’ll be slightly hard to do)
Add puff shroom as plant imp equivalent who would be a short range shotgun (similar to marine biologist) with abilities:
1. Teleport - disappears in the ground like in pvz2 and reappears several meters ahead
2. Growth - grows into a huge puff shroom (resembles z-mech)
Gauc’s abilitys could be cool like
1:speed boost and anything in the way takes like 50-75 damage (basically what would happen if you combined both of citrons ball form abilitys)
2:spawn mini guacs (basically weeds but faster and tankier) up to like 2
3:either a dive(burrow like move) or tail slam (kinda like the dinos from infinity time) could also be an defense buff
Would also like it if gauc could be like a hybrid peashooter and chomper except it can’t sallow only chomp and giving it a bigger and proper body like the gw2 plants could be good too
(For example make it look like leatherback from “teenage mutant ninja turtles”)
How to deal with pop cap or EA: honestly I'd research laws around parodys which Is a legal way to recreate someone's work
Idea for the Guacodile's Abilities:
Ability 1: Seed Bomb
“Lobs a heavier Avocado Seed out which explodes on impact and deals damage to any foe within a small radius of its landing point.”
- This ability deals 40 direct damage and 15 splash damage with a 25 second cooldown; 55 damage total on a direct hit. The projectile has a moderate speed with a heavy arc, limiting it in range, so best to use it at close to medium range. Would require a bit of skill to nail direct hits with.
Ability 2: Chomp Rush
“Guacodile quickly charges forward, running opponents over, biting, and knocking them back a short distance.”
- While this is a dash move, yes, however Guacodile in PvZ 2 already does this on death, so it fits perfectly here.
Ability 3: Vine Climb
“Guacodile quickly plants a vine on the ground that rapidly grows into a platform for allies to climb and use as new high ground.”
- This vine would take around 3 seconds before it would become useful.
I hope for the best for you and your project, and I hope this can become a reality!
you are so cool, this is so cool
also if you are gonna add the gargs (when are you gonna add the zombies and stuff) can you add the Wizard Gargantuar.
you are still so cool
