I'm not referring to having a old game I'm referring to having games that are older than 5 years at the very least. Classic dun feel classic if it's a game that was made a year or two ago. Sure they adapted to have a classic look to them but they are still not old-ish games. They simply don't bring any feelings of nostalgia or feelings of having grown up like old games did. But whatever is just a short event anyways
List of classic games you forgot to include: Murder Mystery 2 Natural Disaster Survival Hide and seek extreme Lumber Tycoon 2 Prison Life 2 Assassin Elemental Battlegrounds Roblox high school 2 Vehicle simulator Freeze tag Ice breaker Dodgeball Silent Assassin Be a parkour ninja Survive the killers at area 51 Bloxhunt There are probably many more but this is all I can think of

Every single game I thought about for this video, Be a Parkour Ninja was by far my favorite game on this site back in the days. I will keep these games in mind as I make another addition to this series :)
Heyo! I'm one of the co-leads for Cakebomb Studios (aka, the people that work on Make a Cake), I just wanted to clarify that we maintain the original version (Make a Cake and Feed the Giant Noob) to keep it functioning. We don't intend to change it because we want to keep it feeling the same way it did back then! The current version is where we can make most of our big updates, AND we maintain a 2016 version of the sequel as well (originally called Make a Cake: Back for Seconds)! (if we wanted to be exact, there have been 3 games in the series: classic [2010], back for seconds [2016], and make a cake [2021]) Speaking as a member of the roblox community, I think that you did a good job exploring these older games on the platform and analyzing the impact of them! Great video, honestly :)
Thank you!! I’m glad somebody who’s worked on one of these games has came around to leave their input. I completely understand with maintaining the game, and I’m glad you guys put in at least a little work to keep such an old game in pristine shape. I’m glad you enjoyed this video, and I’ll definitely make similar content in the future :D
Well, looks like it's time to throw my hat in the ring. I am the Community Manager of Cakebomb Studios, and I just want to add onto what my colleague, Devi, said. As I am not a game developer, (I have no interest in coding,) I instead spend a lot of my time theorizing about *game design*, what makes _Make a Cake_ unique, how to best help returning players, and how to expand on the "vibe" that _Make a Cake_ provides. I agree with EVERY point you made in the video, and I am extremely glad that people outside of our little circle are able to pick up on these things. It's rare that someone outside knows a lot about the game. And that's where you come in. As we are Cakebomb Employees, we have a lot of knowledge about the game that we'd like to share, things like Easter Eggs, hidden features, and the 2016 version of the game that you didn't cover in this video. We also have admin powers and can mess with the game a bit; give tools, money, teleport, etc. So, Ben has an offer for you: if you come into the Cakebomb Discord, we'd be down to let you give us a little "interview" of sorts while we give you a proper tour of the factory. We LOVE talking about stuff like this, and if you ever want more content, an exclusive interview with the Make a Cake staff team could easily get you some views! And if not, we'd still love to talk to you anyway! Me and Devi showed Ben the video and he loved it, he felt very humbled and was honored to be put alongside the greats!
Thank you for the feedback, and I’m glad somebody who is much more professional than I am can back me up on some of these things. Make A Cake was one of my first and most favorite experiences when I first started, and I’m glad you’ve shared it among the developing team. I’ve spent a lot of time looking at games and kinda interpreting how a lot of these games have fallen and risen, such as Make A Cake. On another note, I’d be more than happy to do a little tour along with an interview for a video! I joined your discord server a few hours ago after reading this comment, and I go under “PerChaps”on discord. There would be a few kinks I would need worked out, but we can definitely discuss it later. I’m more than willing to do something like this and I thank you greatly for this opportunity. I’ll more than likely message one of you once I have the time! Thank you, once again :)
I remember a game called the Plaza and Roblox Waterpark. Those were the first games I played way back in 2015 those were a peak of entertainment when I started it throughout middle school.
I saw the thumbnail and thought “These aren’t the classics, these are too new!” before realising it’s been over a decade. Glad to see acknowledgment towards A Pirate’s Life, though!
Another game that I think deserved attention was “plaza” for a time that the game was a front page game and tons of people where playing, the game faded away. The developer is working on a plaza 2 but doesn’t seem to be much going on
a game that gives me a lot of nostalgia is Theme Park Tycoon 2. back when guest were still around, i would log on to the game as one and play it for hours. it was the first game i played on roblox.
TPT2 has only gotten better, amazing developer who constantly keeps updating and maintains the hype, theres a great amount of youtube content around it and the gamepasses are incredibly worth it. Aged like wine
@@mamayut5085 i know right? the game is so much fun. i would have thought that i would get bored due to playing it so much, but i keep finding new ways to entertain myself. im kinda tempted to buy the game passes.
omg i remember that so much, i was so addicted to that game i used to play it so much on my moms phone, i tried replaying it but the nostalgia is too much it just makes me depressed
I remember a few old games like Survive the disaster, Top Heaven Runaway, Roblox High School and Catalog Heaven. I’d really love to see what happened to them
catalog heaven was THE GOAT, what happened to it?? i remember being confused when it died down in players cus i used to have a fun time with it when i was younger
The revamped version of bake the cake is ACTUALLY SO GOOD. Not only do they have more mechanics, mkre minigames, and having actual goals in the game, but it has so many secrets and easter eggs that are so much fun to find. If anyone is considering to try and play the game, then PLEASE do
NAH THIS BROUGHT BACK SO MANY MEMORIES. I used to rage quit at Flood Escape 2 and cry in the bathroom for hours cuz of it. Ngl I used to rp in those obby games like escape granny or smthg. In Meep City I wouldnt tho, I just fished the whole time to try to get money and customize my house. Oh and the cake game was my first roblox game haha. TLDR: The younger version of me was wildin
As a flood escape 2 fan who played roblox around the time it came out. This was one of my favorite games ever and still is I know that crazyblox stopped for a while since he had collage but I'm glad he continued to do fe2 and bring on a new look, just coding was probably hard and also trying to keep up. P.S. Nice video!
Thank you. It was really nice to look back on these games, I used to be super big on flood escape, but it really just kinda felt off for me. I’m glad you enjoyed that video section though, it was definitely my most favorite game to play out of the bunch.
ok does anybody remember the game called growing up? it was a big deal for me and i loved it, you basically grow up throughout the game and it’s really fun and also you get to ride a velociraptor
Same, used to play it alot during those eras, I still play it sometimes, but the 1st game is def dated now, the 2nd Survive the Disasters is a hidden gem and it sometimes get updates, your points saves and there are ranks as well, tho the player count in both games are very small, I've also always like the 1st and 2nd installments as well compared to Natural Disasters imo.
Hey there! I'm the current co-owner of Garbage Roblox Games Wiki (the wiki that you showed at 7:06)! Was quite surprised to see it and chuckled at the sight of it. Even though the articles on that wiki are old and now outdated, it's nice to see people still visiting those articles and giving them a genuine read! Interesting video, by the way. :P
Oooo, thats honestly really cool. The Garbage games wiki is honestly really good, especially for my research purposes. I jumped around there a lot just to understand some of the history of certain games. And thank you for the compliment, I’m glad so many people like this video :)
You're welcome! Nowadays, the wiki (and its sister wiki, Perfection Roblox Games Wiki) aren't really actively updated/worked on anymore due to outdated writing styles, sharing bad history with another set of now-defunct wikis, along with being overall restrictive. However, a successor was made (called Roblox Reviews) that's far less restrictive than both Garbage and Perfection Roblox Games Wiki, though it's been struggling to get attention. Again though, nice to see someone genuinely enjoy taking a look at Garbage and Perfection Roblox Games Wiki. If you ever feel like making an article similar to the ones that you've seen, feel free to make one on Roblox Reviews!
A couple games I remember playing back then that wasn’t on the list: Deathrun Natural disasters survival Hole in the wall The mad murderer Mad paintball Dodgeball
Just because I haven't seen anyone mention them... Hotel Elephant? Dinosaur Simulator? Tiny Town? Rocitizens? This was a lovely trip down memory lane though, thank you
I love this video! I sometimes return to some of the games you mentioned in this video. As a prominent member of the FE2 community since 2017 and a discord server moderator for it as well, I find it to be the most influential in my life considering how much the community helped shape me into in the kind of person I am today. I’m glad this popped up in my recommended today, and it’s well edited and paced. Thank you for the nostalgia and memories.
Flood escape was definitely the game I spent the most time on researching and understanding, and checking in with the community was really refreshing and I’m glad some genuine fans of the games I was talking about stumbled upon this video. Thank you for the feedback as well, I’m glad people are really enjoying this :)
For me the games I get most nostalgic about are, Work at the pizza place, Welcome to the town of Robloxia, Hunters Life, The Underground war and Build to Survive the Zombies. That was peak roblox for me
It's wild to think that in Dec 2020, I found Flood Escape 2 and not any time before then. That game was so popular I don't know why I never decided to play it. It is also crazy to think that I am helping on developing the next game in the Flood Escape series now. (Flood Escape: Hybrid)
@@chazzywaz damn, you seriously aren't updated then. Yes, it was a fangame that was to be shut down due to being a copy of FE1, but got picked up as a collaborative project with the community. It is still being worked on.
2013 here, to witness the website change so much is surreal. There’s some new features I like but nothing will beat the feeling of old Roblox. It’s just very corporate now and has lost a lot of its soul.
One of my favorite games, Pinewood Computer Core, was created in 2011 and still has around 200 people online at any given time with frequent updates. It's really cool playing games that have stood the test of time.
As a person who actively contributes to Flood Escape 2 in its music, I hope Flood Escape, both games, eventually receive the recognition they deserve again. Personally, 1,000 players on FE2 average isn't enough for a game this grand. This was a good video. I found it because, of course, Flood Escape being mentioned. You seem like a good content creator.
I personally think one game you should have included that tried to keep its legacy was the normal elevator. It used to be really popular among UA-camr and little kids. But due to copyright in recent years most of sounds from the floors have either had covers ( like the snoop dog floor) or have had it replaced entirely. It usually averages around 600-400 players daily. It never really changed since the 2016 fame it got and the ui and shop is the exact same from then.
I was lucky enough to meet crazyblox (the flood escape dev) a while back as a birthday treat. I was friends with a dev who knew him and because I said I enjoyed flood escape, they organised for me to see some of the development of flood escape 2. I was pretty young back then (I was still 13) so I don't remember much, but I do remember thinking wow, this guy is gonna make the best sequel game on roblox, and I don't think I was wrong haha.
It saddens me that stop it slender has died like ages ago, i remember having so much fun playing it with my cousins, screaming, laughing and watching denis daily videos
One of my old favourite games was Dragon Rage. Just checked and it’s only got one active player! It’s sad to see old games just completely die, even newer games like Flora Frenzy or Shard Seekers that’ve pretty much just gone.
I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH!!! I played shard seekers so much on my old account and was trying to find it again but totally forgot the name. I have been watching all of these old roblox game videos to try find it and was getting disappointed that I couldn’t find anyone talk about it
Awesome vid and great time to release it since Roblox’s Classic event is right around the corner. I think your gameplay and review suffices enough for information. It was super entertaining and calming. Seeing all of the stock photo edits was distracting. I remember heavily gaming on FEscape and Pizza Place was my first Roblox game ever. I don’t play those two anymore but am still quite active since Roblox is timeless for me.
Thank you for the feedback, it really helps me understand what helps people understand the information I’m putting in front of them. I’ll definitely tone down on the stock photo stuff and spect more into examples of what I’m talking about. Glad you enjoyed the video for the most part :)
should def to do a sequel on this vid if you want to cuz there are so many other classics to be talked about. Murder Mystery 2, Phantom Forces, Survive the Disaster, The Normal Elevator, etc.
@@TFNARMY_2009 I unironally have played survive the killers in area 51, quite a alot, the past month or two, is one of those old/classic games that still holds up imo, however I been getting alot of burnout, and I think this game is alright to play as long as you don't play it all the time or take it serious, I think this can apply to anything outside of roblox tbh.
its funny because 2:23 work at a pizza place has barely changed from its inception. dued just keeps slapping a new coat of paint on it and it works wonders
Thank you! I’ve worked on my editing and commentary a lot as of lately, and I’m glad people have grown a liking to my content :) I’ll definitely get started on new videos
my heart aches for meepcity. i spent every day from 2017-2020 on that game. even after playing adopt me or bloxburg, i always went back to meepcity. despite the communities bad reputation, there were many kind people who just liked chatting and making friends. i made many great friends and actually am still close with one. they could never make me hate you meepcity💔
Amazing vid!! The explanations are thorough enough but not tedious or convoluted! plus i learned more and am going to play flood escape 2 now ^_^ keep up the good work
Out of all the games on roblox ,Scuba Diving at Quill Lake, is the most nostalgic. I don't know why, I didn't play it all that much compared to other classics but it has a special place in my heart.
I don't entirely like flood escape, but it holds a very near and very dear place in my heart. Back when it was very popular, I met 2 random kids there. Since they were on Xbox, as well as myself, they invited me to their Xbox party. Ever since then, for the next 6-8 years, those kids have been my best online friends. Most of my most fond memories come from those kids. Introducing me to their friends and making more friends too. Like I said, I didn't enjoy Flood Escape, but it sure as hell did make so many good childhood memories.
Flood Escape 2 is still holding up surprisingly well all things considered. Great, devoted map creators and an ambitious community with plenty of love from Crazyblox. They introduced a performance update recently and I can confidently say it has made the game 2x more enjoyable.
I started Roblox in 2015 and remember how people used to talk about the "good old days" like the 2000's Roblox and such. It's a such an odd feeling now seeing people talk about the same era you grow up on now being referred to as nostalgic.
Honestly, a game that’s a classic for me is Enchantix High. If you don’t know: Enchantix high was a Winx fan game where you roleplay and attend classes in a school for fairies and mermaids. You could also dress up and buy stuff like wings from the store. As to how it is now…I personally like it, but the majority of the community has a bunch of complaints. The Enchantix High game I talked about before has been deleted due to copyright issues, and the game rebranded as Royale High. Despite having a different name, the premise is pretty much the same, with some major differences. For some, there are now three schools you can play in. Campus 1 (Aka ‘classic campus’), which mainly focusses on attending classes. Campus 2 is essentially campus 1, but the location looks much nicer, and Campus 3 is an unfinished location that mainly focusses on roleplay. As of writing this, a Campus 4 is on the way, which is a combination of roleplay and attending classes. Some common complaints I see about the games are: 1. The overpricing of items. Royale High’s item shop has EXPLODED over time, constantly adding new clothes and accessories. However, many people consider the items to be overpriced. I think I remember one of the sets (Basically a bundle of clothes and accessories) being over 180k diamonds (the currency of the game), if you wanted to buy the whole set. This was way too expensive for people, especially considering that you can’t farm diamonds like we used to do (Diamonds would randomly spawn on set locations in campus 2. This feature has been removed and diamonds now spawn more sparsely, in random locations). Now, the only way to get diamonds is to level up by doing quests and classes, which can be pretty frustrating if you don’t have diamond multipliers (gamepasses that make you earn more diamonds. For example, you earn 300 diamonds when you level up. I own the 2x multiplier gamepass, so I get 600 diamonds when I level up) 2. How stale the gameplay is. This isn’t something that the developers can control, but it did leave a lot of people to quit. Back then, you could see roleplay everywhere, from every edgy theme you can think of. Light fairies vs Dark fairies, werewolves (something I did as a kid), dramas, you name it. Now, people just join the game to claim their rewards and do quests. I’ve seen some wholesome messages in chat, but no roleplay to find. Even worse, some people will bully you when you rp. I once tried to rp, but I got mocked. For roleplaying in a roleplay game…I hope you see the problem. 3. Toys. This is a fairly recent problem. Royale High started to publish toys to promote their game, think of playsets and dolls. A lot of people complain that the dolls are ugly and very cheap looking. The most infamous doll is the Valkyrie doll. The Valkyrie is basically the game’s mascot. But aside from that, the doll has many major problems, which include that the doll is considered cheap-looking, it’s way too overpriced (50 US dollars), it doesn’t ship to Europe (I think), and that buying the doll gives you a free set in the game, which many people deem unfair. But, one big problem that all the dolls face is the fact that the company making the dolls supports, well…they support Israel in the current war. This is a turning point for most people to not buy the dolls, which I do understand. So, in conclusion, what do I think about the game? Honestly, despite its flaws, I still really like the game. Sure, the game lost a bit of its magic that I had playing it when I was a kid, but then I realise that kids are entertained more easily. I still really like playing the game. I mainly play the game to do quests and level up, allowing me to buy clothes, accessories and dorm items to decorate both myself and my dorm with. There’s just something so satisfying about buying a skirt or heels you always wanted. Of course I don’t support some stuff that’s going on in the RH community, such as the company who makes the dolls (despite the fact that I think the dolls are cute), but this game is really just a way for me to escape reality for a bit, which, honestly, we all need at times.
Man, seeing some OG Flood Escape brought me back. I sucked at that game back then, but i remember buying the Sword pass. If you ever do cover some more old games, I'd recommend either the Stalker games (Clonetrooper1019/Maximum_ADHD) or Amazeman's games, like Titanic or Survive The End Of Roblox. (The latter is broken and a working revival is currently maintained by KadenZombie8)
I remember "Survive and Kill the Killers on Area 51",me and my friends played all the time, and one of em had a lan house owned by his grandfather, and wed just go wild there sometimes... Good times man, 2016-2018 was a banger period
Oh damn, just realizing that i haven't seriously played these games for such a long time is crazy. I will never forget that i literally joined roblox in 2017 just because of a PVZ game that used to be quite popular at the time.
I used to play with friends so much and now we are just too busy. It was crazy that we could go to each others house every week and play minecraft for hours in the summer. Same thing with build a cake, meepcity, build a pizza, etc. Edit- also 2 player tycoons and tycoons in general were very popular. Clone tycoon, wizard tycoon, etc. I wish games still had screenshots from the game instead of trash clickbait thumbnails. Kids are becoming less and less mature. My friends and I didn’t have phones like modern kids… we used the roblox chat (on the site) to talk to each other and see when we could play.
i remember when it was called "make a cake: back for seconds" and my 8 year old self thought that meant it was only going to be playable for a few seconds
I still remember the days in 2018-2019 when I played with my friends in Flood Escape 2. Back then I was just an iPad kid so I wasn’t exactly good. I could barely beat insane maps back then and definitely not the 3 hardest ones. Then a year ago I returned and overcame the 3 last insane maps and even beat some crazy maps starting with Blue moon and Poisonous chasm. And now my third time returning, I have every crazy other than 1 (Active Volcanic Mines is HARRRRRRRRRRD) and I’m hoping to beat it in the next few weeks. I also wanna try out the crazy+ difficulty maps and see where the current difficulty ceiling is roughly at. This game is so nostalgic and I can go on and on. One thing that does make someone impressed though, is the progression of difficulty from Dark Sci Facility (Insane 4.8) back in my day to Blue Moon (Crazy 5.4) in 2019 to Sandswept Ruins (Crazy 5.6) in 2022 to Active Volcanic Mines (Crazy 5.9) in 2023 to the Crazy+ maps (6 and above) we have today. Guess the shock of coming back to a game I haven’t touched in half a decade and then still enjoying it like something new hits very hard. Glad I found this video!
regarding Speed Run 4, it is always a go-to of mine when ive had a stressful day. To just mindlessly run and jump and go through the different levels is so therapeutic for me in a way that i dont quite understand.
Some games that weren't on the list -The Stalker: Reborn -Prison Life -Military Warfare Tycoon -Clone Tycoon 2 -Mcdonalds Tycoon -The Morpher [ALPHA] -Bakers Valley -The Horror Mansion ALSO MAKE A SEQUEL PLEASE!!!
theres more, like RUN, slayer zone and its sequel, battle of legends, tower battles, person299's minigames, that one disaster survival game by stickmasterluke, survive the disasters by thefurryfox, and a whole bunch of others
I remember playing stop it slender way back in 2014-2015, and I remember getting so hyped whenever I got to play as slenderman. Some other games I loved playing around that time period were the "mad" games from mad studio; og mad murderer, mad games, mad paintball 1/2. I would spend hours on those games, and it sucks that the playercount for those games died completely
make a part 2 of this video with the missing games (se examples could be survive and kill the killers in area 51, roblox deathrun, horror/normal/any OG elevator game, maybe freeze tag, etc)
I definitely will get around to making a part 2, there’s so many games that I cut for times sake and wanting to get this video out in a timely manner. If I ever get to having the time and resources, I will definitely make like a 2 hour version of this video just jumping from game to game.
Used to play all of these, but forgot about a lot until this video. Ty for giving these memories back to me. Truly classics. Flood escape was especially my favourite tho. I used to play the first one all the time, and then the second one too. I remember I was arguing with some 8 yr old (tbf, i was 8 too) and we were both calling each other bad cause one of us finished first. Then we became friends for some reason??? Played a lot of games together after that but then I ended it for some stupid reason. Still regret that. Good times tho
Flood Escape 2 is such an amazing game, it still gets consistently updated and is one of, if not THE best obby game on Roblox. Also the original soundtrack is amazing, and they’ve added new difficulties and modes.
I played Flood Escape 2 since 2018-2019 and I'm still playing it. It's a childhood memory for me and I built up a pretty solid career for it and I wont forget it. I love it
Those were my games back in the day, enjoyed playing them almost everyday. Disappointing to see kids nowadays play games that just weren't nostalgic or childhood types. If I do happen to have kids someday, Ima make sure they are raised like 2000s kids and show them every childhood games, movies, and toys.
Flood escape is really fun, and I’m glad the community has lasted as long as it has. Also thank you :) I’m glad so many people like this video and it’s really inspiring me to make more content on a regular basis.
yall remember the ”ride down a 999,999,999 feet slide” games? u could choose what type of box to ride, they had boxes with a minion, epic face, creeper, spongebob etc.
Great vid! I remember playing a couple of these games when I first joined Roblox in 2017. I only have one question...where is my man, the GOAT Natural Disaster Survival? It's one of the oldest games compared to the games you mentioned, created in 2008--though that's when the place itself was created, not necessarily the game. It's barely changed over the years, and the few changes are UI and a couple new maps here & there...and a virus disaster I guess lol. It was one of the very first Roblox games I ever played & gives me EXTREME nostalgia. Also the game still gets very good player counts, ranging from the 1000s-low 20000s most of the time
I really considered adding Natural Disaster Survival, but it was very similar to my point about Epic Minigames, and I didn’t want this video to jump over the 20-ish minute mark because that would just be too much editing for me. Editing, recording and voicing over my videos takes a lot of time and having another game to talk about might’ve pushed this video out like a week later. If I ever get to making a second video like this one, I will include it.
Even though this game is only 7 years ago, I remember playing Battle as a Giant Boss a lot! It was really fun and quirky and I met my friend on there that I've known for 5 years now. We still chat and have fun today but I will still remember these old games and vibes.
It was always heartbreaking when I went back to visit an old game I used to play on roblox and saw that it was either shutdown or dead. Thank you for covering this topic though as I never saw anyone else talk about it
This video made me remember that im an adult now, and ive been playing roblox for a decade... that is insane to me. I still play some stuff with my friends currently, but seeing videos talk about these games gives me nostalgia. Feels weird, lol. (Also i found you on a comment under a breadian video!! Im super excited to binge the rest of ur videos)
While i am happy the fact coding and game development has expanded in roblox. i almost feel like its (sometimes) wasted potential because so many of the top front page games are just recreation with slight difference or even down right plagiarism of eachother/already existing games. Now im not disappointed at how far roblox developed, but its like handing all the best tools in the world to a highschooler who's only plan is to glue to boards together for a woodshop class. It's wasted potential. One of the things that made old roblox special was the simplicity of the platforms. Many of us in 2008-2016 just wanted a short game that had a easy centralized idea with enough content to satisfy us which at the time worked. In my opinion there were more unique games back then compared to modern day roblox. I really hope we get more games that arent over complexed, fun, and original games. That's where legendary developers spawn from, people like Wingman8 (creator of ship battle game Galleons), StickMasterLuke (creator of natural disaster, lasertag arena, underground war and much more)
back in 2014 a single minigames game with several unanchored objects in the lobby and mad studio's chat voice could sustain a robloxian for months, even years
make a cake was originally called make a cake: back for seconds! but unfortunately changed names to a more simple and dumbed down feeling one. Like I guess since it's the one being updated it doesn't need the sequel branding but still a little sad I feel. It's also still a bit classic, just late late era classic, when monetization begun classic, edge between classic and modern kind of game. IT IS STILL GREAT! And they stay true to what classic games were in this. also, it came before the two examples you used of what it could be taking inspiration from. Long before! but this was a real good video.
As somebody that has played Roblox since 2008, It's crazy to me what modern players and myself consider a classic game. A lot of these games were after the point where I stopped consistently playing and have never heard of them yet I still recognize a lot of them and their developers. Games like Sword Fighting Tournament, Deception Infection, Work at a Pizza Place, Hide & Seek and Freeze tag are a few of many classic games that I have some of the fondest memories with. Seeing what Roblox is capable of now in modern times is crazy to me. When I first played the Roblox, I could have never imagined what these games would eventually be capable of. I would argue some of them can even be their own separate games at this point and even through a lot of the issues that I feel plague Roblox nowadays, some of the games are so well made.
The 2012 disaster games really hit home for me as I was playing around 2009-2010. I played on the original the other day and the nostalgia nearly knocked me out. It also hasn't been updated since back then so it truly is a 'relic' on the platform
Man, I've played and had memories from all the games you mentioned. Fun fact: Make a Cake, used to actually have a long name like it's predecessor. It used to be named Make a Cake: Back For Seconds
Eviction Notice didn’t try to replicate the style of Epic Minigames, it’s a remake of Big Brother, which was taken down due to copyright a few months before Survivor was, it’s the same type of replication as Outlaster
I recently logged back into my 2012 Roblox account… I used to play Survival 303, Hogwarts, The Underground War etc. Does anybody remember those games? I was so sad to find most of those games died and nobody plays anymore!
one iconic game that changed dramatically was Pokemon Fighters EX, now known as Monsters of Etheria. it was so good originally, playing with friends multiple times a week on that game was my jam. i didn't even watch pokemon but learnt about new ones due to that game and i would always get excited when a new pokemon spawned and i didn't already have it. the race to the top of the tree was so intense istg
Of course! This was definitely a little nostalgia trip for me too! I started playing in 2014, so a lot of these games really made the basis of how I got to know the Roblox platform.
Man this video’s amazing! Honestly perfectly encapsulates some of my early Roblox experiences when I started around 10 years ago on the platform and it’s crazy how far it’s come. Idk if this game was a classic or anything but it was what first got me into it. Does anyone remember Don’t Blink? Based on the doctor who episode on the weeping angels. I remember that being popular for a while before it got taken down
Very nice video! Some games like Work at a pizza place, Speedrun 4, Epic minigames and Flood escape hold up pretty well! Here are some nostalgic Roblox games in my opinion: Natural Disasters Survival, Shark Bite, Scuba Diving at Quill Lake, Clone Tycoon 2 and Hide and seek extreme!
I like how you talk. It might sound like I'm joking or being mean, but I'm not I promise. Like, it just sounds like a friend explaining things that he's interested in to you and that's a very nostalgic and good feeling.
Death Run found dead on the side of the road

kinda disappointed there weren't that many classic games in the Roblox classic event instead of the * skibidi toilet tower defense created in 2023 *
But the oldest thing we got is bee swarm simulator
I'm not referring to having a old game I'm referring to having games that are older than 5 years at the very least. Classic dun feel classic if it's a game that was made a year or two ago. Sure they adapted to have a classic look to them but they are still not old-ish games. They simply don't bring any feelings of nostalgia or feelings of having grown up like old games did. But whatever is just a short event anyways
That's what I'm saying, how the hell Survive Natural Disasters isn't in the event but skibidi toilet defense is.

(if we wanted to be exact, there have been 3 games in the series: classic [2010], back for seconds [2016], and make a cake [2021])
Speaking as a member of the roblox community, I think that you did a good job exploring these older games on the platform and analyzing the impact of them!

Bro that game was so fucking nostalgic

Out of all the games on roblox ,Scuba Diving at Quill Lake, is the most nostalgic. I don't know why, I didn't play it all that much compared to other classics but it has a special place in my heart.
I love that game too, it's a bummer they wont be adding the final zone
Some common complaints I see about the games are:
1. I own the 2x multiplier gamepass, so I get 600 diamonds when I level up)
(The latter is broken and a working revival is currently maintained by KadenZombie8)
as someone who played meepcity before it fell to it’s darkness it was so fun and happy
I remember "Survive and Kill the Killers on Area 51",me and my friends played all the time, and one of em had a lan house owned by his grandfather, and wed just go wild there sometimes...
Good times man, 2016-2018 was a banger period
I've found myself looking at "new games" that when i started playing, were on their peak, and now are considered classics.
I feel old.
13:06 Wild Savannah mentioned. Also, I have the Abandoned Facility skin in Flood Escape 2! (The skin with the really cool looking helmet.)
Oh damn, just realizing that i haven't seriously played these games for such a long time is crazy.
I will never forget that i literally joined roblox in 2017 just because of a PVZ game that used to be quite popular at the time.
I joined in 2016 due to DANTDM McDonald’s tycoon
Amazing video mate! You summed up the state of fe2 perfectly! I am an avid fe2 player and I used to play the original aswell.
Some games that weren't on the list
-The Stalker: Reborn
-Prison Life
-Military Warfare Tycoon
-Clone Tycoon 2
-Mcdonalds Tycoon
-The Morpher [ALPHA]
-Bakers Valley
-The Horror Mansion
ALSO MAKE A SEQUEL PLEASE!!!
theres more, like RUN, slayer zone and its sequel, battle of legends, tower battles, person299's minigames, that one disaster survival game by stickmasterluke, survive the disasters by thefurryfox, and a whole bunch of others
Flood Escape, ROBLOX HIGHSCHOOL, Sonic Ultimate RPG and Kohls Admin House, Epic Minigames carried my childhood😢
OMG THIS BROUGHT BACK SO MUCH NOSTALGIA THIS MADE ME CRY OF HOW GOOD MEMORIES I MADE FROM THESE GAMES
I remember getting close to 1,000 pages on Stop it Slender, and then they released an update where you could buy pages..
I said "maybe freeze tag" because idk if you cuold consider it a clasic
I definitely will get around to making a part 2, there’s so many games that I cut for times sake and wanting to get this video out in a timely manner. If I ever get to having the time and resources, I will definitely make like a 2 hour version of this video just jumping from game to game.
Survive the disasters are also very nostalgic for me
SAKTK is doing well but the balancing in some modes is a nightmare
@@TJ-hg6op I haven’t seen the new difficulties and modes. Nightmare maybe? Idk what could go after Insane lol. Ig there’s a lot more maps too.
No one is talking about the normal elevator!
i LOVE flood escape 2, even if its a small, slowly lowering, community, i still love it
amazing video brobro
Flood escape is really fun, and I’m glad the community has lasted as long as it has.
Also thank you :) I’m glad so many people like this video and it’s really inspiring me to make more content on a regular basis.
yall remember the ”ride down a 999,999,999 feet slide” games? u could choose what type of box to ride, they had boxes with a minion, epic face, creeper, spongebob etc.
THIS BROUGHT(😓😭) BACK SO MANY MEMORIES, I miss when these games were very popular😭😭
brought back*

You're real for putting in Stop It Slender, that was really good for a game. Loved it.
I feel a deep feeling of hurt of nostalgia watching this
It was always heartbreaking when I went back to visit an old game I used to play on roblox and saw that it was either shutdown or dead. Thank you for covering this topic though as I never saw anyone else talk about it
Does anyone here know The Quarry? I think it was kinda popular back then but I literally cannot find anyone who has played it before 😭
I played it!
Man i remember grinding on that game for hours, good times
Starting a video with that iconic music was such a good choice, Brought back so many memories.
Even tho i didnt watched the video just yet, am liking and subscribing cuz someone FINALLY made intersting video on interesting topic C:
Thank you! I love the videos I make and I’m really glad I’m drawing positive attention :)
Long before! but this was a real good video.
they still have the 2016 version of back for seconds up, along with the classic make a cake
That was always one of my favorites, would play a lot when I first joined and when I was most active!
It's hard to know a lot of these games have died..
Edit: You're really underrated, hope to see more like this in the future!
Roblox high school, Greenwood town, sharp shooter mines, twisted murderer, hunted, raft survival, giant survival, and darkness
Greenwood Town fell from grace
sharpshooter mines is goated
FINALLY SOMEONE MENTIONS TWISTED MURDER
I miss when Flee the Facility only had 3 maps. I remember playing it with my brother and our best friends/neighbors playing together ❤
13:30 not to mention crazyblox is making a 3rd game called Flood Escape Hybrid
one iconic game that changed dramatically was Pokemon Fighters EX, now known as Monsters of Etheria.
it was so good originally, playing with friends multiple times a week on that game was my jam. i didn't even watch pokemon but learnt about new ones due to that game and i would always get excited when a new pokemon spawned and i didn't already have it. the race to the top of the tree was so intense istg
A very needed nostalgia trip for me. Thank you for this :D
Of course! This was definitely a little nostalgia trip for me too! I started playing in 2014, so a lot of these games really made the basis of how I got to know the Roblox platform.
Y'know, I've always tried to find a more mature content creator for Roblox. Near impossible to filter through youtube for it. Subed.
Flood Escape 2 is one of if not the best platforming games on roblox to this day.
Does anyone else remember games like Top Model roblox, Beach house roleplay, or Survive the disasters 1 and 2?
yesss
