Riders: "Moss" - Moto Guzzi V7-Racer & "WildJack" - Honda CB500Four
That Guzzi is no slouch it seems. Fast enough to face plant for good. I loved the sound of the Honda 500. The first real bike I rode was one such with a 4 in 1 Devil exhaust. In the late 70's in Switzerland you had to drive two years on a 125 cc. A guy I met had a Honda 500 cc and I asked him if I could try. He said yes no problems. I couldn't stop; the noise, the power... I later learned that the bike was stolen, no insurance...

I can see now why Sports Bikes sales are falling as these Café Racer inspired bikes just look so much fun in the real world !!!
I don't remember the exchanging rate in 1975 but at that time I've payed 5,780 Deutsch Mark (2,800 €)
This bike belongs to me from the very first day ... 38 years now (ツ)
Great bikes...love them both. Had a CB500 and now have a V7...both rock! Safe riding!
Stay on your side of the road and I love those engine notes.
Don't worry about the side of the road. We did not risk on this ride. Good visibility all the time around the corners.

We were driving almost near to Jail-Speed !!! It's very expensive if you get into a speed trap in europe . For faster ride I prefer to ride on the race track.

Search for *_Cereglio_* (it's southern of Modena / Bologna) in Italy. Always clear roads and corners everywhere :)

Well, had 3 CB 500 Four ... now thinking to buy a Moto Guzzi V7 II, so I was very curious about the comparison as I've heard that the V7 lacks of power, but when it's compareable to the CB 500 then it's okay for this old guy :)

Bellissimo il sound di entrambe le moto. Quello delle vecchie CB Four (450, 500, 750) è tra i più spettacolari (assieme ad alcune Suzuki) che ci siano, l'ho sempre detto.
Vedo che anche le "nonnine" si difendono molto bene, tra l'altro il CB ha un bel caratterino.
Tra le moto relativamente moderne anche io ho preferito la CB 600 F Hornet a carburatori rispetto a quelle nuove ad iniezione, ne è la degna nipotina: 4 cilindri 16 valvole, 4 carburatori e vecchio scarico originale.

Da muss ich Dir voll und ganz zustimmen. Bei einem Klassiker brauchst du schon etwas mehr Kraftaufwand als bei einem modernen Bike. Das spüre ich sogar, wenn ich mit meiner CBR600 Baujahr 87 unterwegs bin. Neuere Bikes, vor allem wenn's nicht meine eigenen sind, bewege ich dann doch lieber etwas moderater (bin ja auch schon fast 57) ツ

Sure the Moto Guzzi is not cheap. but this video shows that its not necessary having 100hp+ to have a lot of fun. Riding on curvy roads is for me a great kick. The riders are good. And a lot of Supersport bikers doesnt have the skills of those two riders in this video.

My old 500 Four is certainly not a rice mill. If you still think that, you have to live with it.
Be happy that with the Guzzi you can fulfill your dream of riding a motorcycle. I can't ;)

It's a Scheibel 4-1 with selfmade muffler (italian version ... extra loud)

concordo! La hornet prima serie(faro tondo) è la degna erede...semplice,senza fronzoli, connubio perfetto tra classico e moderno,gran moto...in honda avrebbero dovuto continuare a produrla così invece negli anni l'hanno completamente stravolta e ora fa schifo al ca'

La differenza tra la pista e la strada e' che, in strada, non puoi invadere sistematicamente l'altra corsia. D'altra parte, in pista, se ti presenti con questi 2 scaldabagni, gli altri si fanno una risata. Quindi, tenete a mente: la strada non e' una pista e godetevi queste moto per quello che sono, e senza la smania del pilota (che non siete, visto come guidate).
