Just a fantastic presentation and teaching. I will keep practicing with much more confidence now. I would love to see more different style hand positions, like single palm…thank you!
Excellent presentation for teaching those new to Bagua. Valuable for those that have not paid close enough to maintaining the basic principles in our training.
This is great, i love your style of breaking things down into simple, tiny portions so i have a lot to think about during these basic movements. Do you plan to release more in the series? Ive seen some videos with more complicated forms and id love to see you break down the next step in bagua zhang!
Thank you for your instructional videos. Its helping me in a time of high stress and anxiety. Doing this help me regain control of my breathing and heart rate, can't wait to see more.
Other more videos because right now with the covid pandemic we can't get anywhere and I'm highly interested in learning this so I was just wondering if you have more continuous videos on teaching this
Amazing videos sifu, thank you! I’m hoping you’re able to upload more. I’m having fun rewatching parts 1 and 2 to practice basic technique but hungry for more advanced stuff
I read about this style, watching a lot of video, your tutorial is relevation for me. I’m really courious. As I know these extreme positions improves coordination, maybe a kind of “massage” of the body. Happy to see it, not theoretical, clean.
Glad you found the video helpful, Geri! There is no magic or secret to bagua training. It begins with the basics and those must be practiced with intent and focus :)
Hello sifu Brandon, will you be continuing the online UA-cam Bagua Zang classes? thank you ,Sean. I also want to say the way you teach mud water circle stepping is extremely helpful for those students that do Sun Tai Chi Chuan and will assist with the ripple stepping. I know this has improved my stepping in Sun and the circle stepping in Bagu Zang.
Question: my understanding is that the stepping is an "empty" step in the sense that the foot is placed before the weight is shifted onto it. When you push off the back foot doesn't that result in landing with weight on the foot? Is this a style difference between the numerous Bagua styles? Great video! Well done Sir!
I don't know enough about the many different styles of bagua to comment accurately on those styles. What I can say about the stepping is that when you are first learning, I think it is very important to go slowly and build the skill of stepping empty. It allows you to focus on control, balance, structure, and sensitivity. As you progress through your training, the emphasis on the stepping can change, but it should be a skill that you retain.
When you push off, it doesn’t necessarily always shift weight. When I do my mud/circle walking, I keep my weight over my back foot (as Brandon demonstrated) until the front or moving foot is placed on the ground and I take another step.
Great instruction. I know you are located in NYC. Wondering if you know of any master or at least experienced Baguazhang practitioners near Buffalo/Niagara falls NY?
well done, keep it up.
This is the video with the best didactic about bagua zhang that I found. It would be great if the channel had more classes
This is so awesome! I don’t think there are any Bagua Zhang schools in my city so I really appreciate these!
One of the best Bagua Zang lessons online I love how you break each part down.
Hallo Brandon, you are the best baguazhang teacher! step by step, slowly, show and speeking, always repetition - thank you very much!
Thank you so much Brandon. I love your calmness and focus on detail. Very much appreciated.
Finally, someone to explain with good details the basics! Thank you sharing it!

I don't know why but my legs feel so relaxed after the session... It's kinda sad to see that the first video had so many views in comparison to this.

As well sir do you have a school? Thanks you
I do not have a school. I teach online classes and seminars and I help teach at my Sifu's school.
Bagua circular "mud walking" similar to ice or speed skating?
No, it's quite different.
