They did something similar on their previous album Greyview (Fireside) which was amazing! I hope this is a trend that will continue to happen in future IA albums. Marcus's Cleans are unreal.
"I tried to keep us safe from my mistakes." It's like speaking to your past self, at least that's how I see it in this song. I always try to be careful when making decisions, I think long and hard, sometimes too much which led me to unable make quick decisions.
@@trentonziegler Doesn't matter she’s a girl, lol :'V but u can maybe argue they may be on the same league n it's mostly about taste. But Sam beats him n Brian DESTROYS him bro I'm sorry 😂👊🏻
@Tristan Mallaly see theres not a skippable song on the new Invent album for me, but i agree with ABR, listened through it once and havent gone back yet, that being said my ticket to their show in my neck of the woods has been bought already because their live shows are incredible
Marcus' singing has incredibly improved! This is a nice pallette cleanser right in the middle of the album. I think it's absolutely deserving of being a full length track, not just a 1 minute interlude like some others would have preferred.
Los amo tanto, he propagado sus bellas obras por todo mi grupúsculo social. Mucho amor desde Cuba. Gracias por acompañarme en mis aventuras más abstractas.
@@2xRainb0w they produced a lot of if not all of the vocals with Landon from the plot in you, and have mentioned how he had a big influence on this record. I wouldn’t be surprised if Caleb influenced this as well; did you hear that in an interview at all? These melodies just sound strikingly similar to music Landon has written
@@claytonrath8033 I’m saying the writing itself, as in the band wrote the music, sounds 100% like Caleb’s style, he wrote “,” and used to write this sort of music in his solo project.
I'm trying so hard to get into this album, but the heavy vocals are just not vibing with me. And I love bands like Lorna Shore, Currents, ERRA, Devil Wears Prada, Knocked Loose, Shadows of Intent, etc.. To me, this is their Darko US 'Donna' and it just doesn't hit as hard. It's weird calling this album of the year, not going to change like I keep hearing when there are 4 songs and 3 slight variations of each. I'll be brutally honest: For the shit Lorna and ERRA get, IA doesn't take half as much criticism. This album sounds like it wants to lull the radio crowd into a metal show. Imagine Dragons core. And yeah, I would say 7.5 out of 10, but Kerrang's 3/5 isn't a bad assessment when compared to In Flames, Djunah, Pupil Slicer, or Darko US' 2023 output. People need to listen to other, less restrictive genres of music. Even if it's still heavy music, think outside that box. Hell, I'd reckon even the new Currents album will be better than this. Again. I don't HATE this. I just listen to too much music to call this remotely revolutionary, world change, or relevant.
I'm so glad they included a song like this on the album, this is beautiful
much needed breather between false meridian & immolation of night lol

Probably the most beautiful song on the album
"I tried to keep us safe from my mistakes."

Better than being impulsive though 😅
one of my favorites from this album, along with False Meridian and Without a Whisper.
One of my favourites off the album. Got me writing again for the first time since I nearly lost somebody dear to me. Love it.
How does my man have both the the greatest clean AND unclean vocals in the whole of metalcore, AOTY no doubt and it’s only march
I'd say him and Jesse cash are equally at the top for clean singers. But yeah Marcus can scream and growl like an absolute beast
Imo the best harsh vocals today in metalcore is from daniel winter-bates of bury tomorrow. Marcus is still great tho
Brian Wille, Courtney LaPlante, Sam Carter, Noah Sebastian all sh1t on him, just to name a few. Not sorry 🤷🏼♀
@@gar.es.bar_ they shit on him? Sheesh that's a bit of drastic statement. Marcus is a great singer and Courtney Laplante is a woman lol don't compare

Metalcore bands make the best slow songs
They make heavy songs to cover their pains.
Invent should put out an EP like this. Id listen to the hell out of it. This is beautiful in every way.
its like the interstellar theme but with vocals. i listened to it deeply yesterday and it made such a beautiful moment
thanks for putting this album out when i most needed it
Man were being blessed with so many amazing albums this year, still got ABR's next week, Currents in May and more
DON'T FORGET THE NEW TESSERACT ALBUM MY GUY, AND THE NEW STELLAR CIRCUITS ALBUM
Veil of Maya and Currents, possibly Polaris & Make Them Suffer later this year too
Only listened to a few since it wasn't vibing with me but not a fan of new ABR

This song has made me cry a couple times. 💯
Friendly Note To The Uploader; You forgot to make this video public for the albums release.
Oh that's why it had so few likes
"I tried to keep us safe from my mistakes"
We got a slow banger here. Did not expect this much of a change of pace, but wow is this good. Loving this album so far.
This song is so incredibly soothing. Just in love with your music!! Can not express how much this song help me ❤️🩹
Simply gorgeous. The most beautiful song on the album. Love this so much
Keep singing Marcus!
Beginning of the verse stuck in my head.

Yeah, Landon definitely had a hand in this
did he?
This is 100% calebs writing

Thank you was wondering
Esta cancion me toco el corazon, igual que Invent Animate desde hace años. Saludos desde Argentina

I like the new guy but I miss the old one sorry
Favorite song off of the album.
reminds me of Koda, especially the ambient elements and enchanting singing. this band i recently found is god tier.
Every song i listen is better than before ones
Blows all mainstream out of the water 👌🏼😁. Love it 👍🏼

OMG DUUUDEE😍😍😍😍🥺🥺
11/10
I have shit to do tomorrow i cant afford to stay up...... Let me just listen to the whole ia album
So Acurate...
Does the vocal melody at 0:47 sound familiar to anyone? Like when he sings the word "true." I swear I've heard it before but I can't place it
follow you by bmth??
Anything ever made by Coldplay
lol this song isnt public for whatever reason.
Still didn't listen to it but I know what's coming ❤
Is there a harder version with the same chorus?
i wish this track was more like a minute interlude in length than a full song. didnt click with me
