Car: 1978 Cadillac Sedan Deville
Our special thanks to: Jose at ASE Auto Finance in Tampa, FL for allowing us to drive this well preserved classic American luxury sedan...a boat on wheels. Please visit their website and check out their inventory.
Commentary: A leisurely drive in a classic 1978 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. My POV videos of old(er) cars are mainly posted for those of you who, like me, enjoy the nostalgic feeling of remember what it was like to drive these cars. No verbal commentary, no needless talking...just sitting behind the wheel and enjoying the drive.
Equipment: GoPro Hero12 with Max Lens Mod 2.0
Had one years ago; babied it to nearly 400,000 miles - did all the work myself. My car and my hobby! The cruise control was exceptionally cool and clever; it's tied into the vaccum system. Setting the "speed" sets the vacuum level. It would actually activate the brakes going downhill and the accelerator going up hill to maintain the speed.
Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, the ultimate, all-over luxury car of all time, sadly ended in 1996 when Suburban sales and manufacturing took over the rear wheel drive V8 powered Fleetwood assembly plant. 1996 was the end, but the beginning of an epic collector's car. Easy to maintain.
Smooth ride 💎
Love that Dash, it is one of the Reasons I had to get a Cadillac. My first was a 86 FWB with the DeElegence Trim. I still have a 95 Fleetwood with 16,000 on the odometer. While it has the LT-1 and good acceleration, I still like the older Body Style for the Dash, and the DeElegnce Seats
It is always a bit of Rush to see the Cadillac Crest on the Hood, especially when it has the Branches, or whatever they are called, on it
Get rid of those ugly Wheels with no sidewall tires, they simply look Ridiculous
I have a 79 I’m restoring it currently and I’m not sure if I’m tall enough to drive it I’m 5’5
Nah you'll be fine
