I feel you man, the end hits in a indescribable way.
So I think I realize why this final bit is so effective. Throughout the song, they keep returning to the first part of the progression, but they don't finish it, interrupting it before it resolves (basically whenever Vernon abruptly says "no"). And then they have this mildly discordant bridge, during which we are further from it than ever, that leads right into the only true completion of the phrase. At this point, we've been kept from it for so long that it feels beyond amazing to finally have it. I'm not sure a whole song's worth would be quite as good.
Every time I plug my earphones to my ears, play Bon Iver songs and close my eyes, I find myself in a new world.
"Stay, go? Better that you find a new way" @ 2:28 is such an awesome line
2:29 is so gloriously beautiful.

Ancrown I remember feeling that way about 22 a million for a long time. I didn’t even wanna listen to that album again. But after understanding where he was coming from I decided to give it another chance. Now it’s my favorite album of all time. Just thought I’d give that insight :)

I've loved that song ever since I heard it in Warm Bodies, (makes me cry more often than not) but it took me more than 4 years to check the rest of the disography. I'm disappointed in myself for being very late to the amazing party that is Bon Iver. I am amazed by every new song that I discover.

I've just listened to the whole album. It's too early to formulate an opinion on it. I'm a rollercoaster of mixed feelings...it's all too much... it's going to take a while to really get into the weeds of this album.

Maybe that explains all the people dancing in the other lyric videos... I don’t know how that explains that though, hardly makes sense. Maybe it’s not supposed to. Maybe that’s the point. Dang it I need to known how hard I need to interpret the lyrics. Do I need to build a web outta sticky notes and yarn, or is it meant to be taken at face value?
