- Divinity original sin 2 final boss played on tactician, solo with fane. Well much easier than the doctor since you are not alone in this fight. But damn...got lucky with meteor spell, it almost killed me :)
I chose the 'divine' ending or whatever you wanna call it.
It has been some time since I last beat this boss, this video brings back good memory of the game. Also watching this I got a chance to pay attention to the things I haven't quite noticed before, the spell effect, the details of character, the memorable story telling and the fantastic voice acting. This game was and is SO good that it set such a high bar for any RPG game I play in the future, kudos to Larian Studios for producing such a magnificent masterpiece.

I can't even begin to imagine how that fane is set up, he seems to have over 20k hp
wow, happened way different for me. I had to fight Lucian, Dallis and Braccus. once I killed them he did his whole speach and I had to fight the Kraken and Braccus with one half dead white magister.
this was a legendary battle for me

Just finished this with two friends this evening. We chose to fight everyone, put down Lucien, Dallis and their minions with relative ease, but had a hell of a time beating Braccus (took a few party wipes to work out our final tactic). The plan was to have my melee/metamorph dwarf (called Jason Metamoa due to his uncanny resemblance to the actor!), go ham on Braccus with Anathema, using adrenaline, rage, and onslaught, but we could never pin him down enough for me to have the AP to do it (I entered the fight with a different weapon, so the AP window required to hit this combo was tough). In the end, with two members down, including myself, my buddy made a clutch res, dropped me right next to Braccus, in the hope I could at least trip him (I didn’t have anathema equipped, and not enough AP to pull off the combo). I was gonna trip, until my buddy suggested a different tactic. We decided to risk the numbers and just go onslaught while enraged. To our surprise, it was enough, Braccus was dead and his minions disappeared. We were ecstatic. However, my friend playing Fane had previously bargained his soul over to the doctor, who arrived post fight to claim his prize. We were left stunned when the doctor transformed into his demon form, and we found our friend fighting for the other side. We still had our wounds from the previous fight, and thought we were caught in an impossible situation. But rather than attack us, my friend playing Fane decided to heal us up as much as possible before walking through fire to sacrifice himself. Their soul bond was lost and Adramahlikh was now at least killable. While my mage friend kept teleporting the demon to the other side of the map, I was finally able to equip Anathema. Using a combination of adrenaline, phoenix dive and skin graft, i was able to drop across the map in front of the demon, pop adrenaline one last time, enrage, then onslaught. I cannot express to you the satisfaction of seeing the entirety of Adramahlikh’s 18000 or so hit points disappear in five easy swings. Anathema shattered, but the fight was over. Might be the best moment in gaming I have ever experienced!
When I played, this was probably the first time in a long while where a final boss fight felt like a final boss fight.
I don't know why it didn't do it for you, but for me, it was perfect setting and ambiance.
There I stood. Shield and blade in hand, as Fane with Lohse by my side.
The fight beginning, there was little to no sound effects to the combat. I'm not sure if that was intentional. Perhaps there was sound, but my ears unable to gain resonance.
The clang of the weaponry naught but a pitter patter. Nothing but the orchestra to tell me that This is for all the marbles. You are unbeatable. You are Godwoken. Claim your rightful place, and ascend beyond the plateaus placed previously by any and all Pantheons.
Toned down sound and highlighted music was a conscious design choice.

Just finished my game (Solo/Tactician/Custom undead versatile mage). It's too easy in the last battle. Basically instant kill them all with Chameleon Cloak(invisible) and find a good position. And then: Pyroclastic Eruption(Geomancer) > Skin Shift > Adrenaline > Pyroclastic Eruption > GGWP
I stopped the game because the last fight sooo hey xD but mostly im dissapointed that thhis is the ending of the game .... xD
AS a Pyromancer + Geomancer I did the same tactic, I fought everyone, gathered them all in one place, Pyroclastic Eruption + Time Warp + Epidemic of Fire. Oneshotted everything
Is Tarquin, low-key hinting at baldurs gate 3 with the "beings that feed on minds"?
Oh my.. Tarquin might be making an appearance there. since his ending alludes he moved beyond a new realm from Rivellion.

It is a nice touch that based on what you decide to do it completely changes how the final showdown will go . Though I gotta say with Lucian and all assisting Braccus Rex is very underwhelming; I never got to do anything to him. Ironically being submissive to Lucian and all doesn't matter too much. You still very much have the final say when all said and done; they can still end up helping you only for you to decide *"I know I said I was gonna give up my essence but nah sorry guys. I'm gonna be the new Divine anyway. Thanks"* and that's that; they've been manipulated into helping only for it to possibly backfire. I love that most of the choices have so much meaning. Very tempted to start again and see what else I can do. :)
Very nice final battle, me without siding with Lucian managed to make them fight eachother by using chameleon spell to conceal my two still alive fighters, and then i had only to fight a weakened Dragon Dallis. It was sad on the other hand because i wanted more afterwards.
A friend of mine is playing this game and I wanted to see how it ends. I'm 10 minutes in and I still can't figure out who's on who's side lmaoo
I wanted to ask.If you restarted again and wanted to do solo, would you change anything?
Could you do a video going over your build? Stat Priorities, Weapon/Skill Choices, and a little into your thought process. Love the idea of going solo the whole game. Still not sure on builds tho
looks like he built everything to support 2 hand weapons he probably got 3 fire rune +12% crit chance each and put it in a necklace
instead of healing spells he got necromancy so he can heal from his sword damage instead
his build seems pretty straight forward
I did a Build similiar to his and finished it on tactician if you are interested.

Necromancer and summoner for bone widow distraction and resist death.

Lone wolf , spider kiss ( acquired from driftwood undertavern lady) , bigger better , picture of health, (forgot the rest)
For weapons go for whatever has the highest damage 2h weapon you can find. But for End game find the pieces of the weapon "swornbreaker" This weapon scales with your level when you craft it and this weapon gives you an additional massive 20% crit chance.
For runes find Giant Flame runes, This increase your crit chance by 12% when you imbue it into an amulet.
Additional tips for damage boost.
Craft swornbreaker when at level 20-22 since the weapon scales with your level.
When you encounter the voidwalker in the concil of seven and asked to serve the god king , accept the oath. Accepting gives you +2 attribute +2 ability and +2 talents. (Note that you can find an additional swornbreaker in kream vault later on in game and cutting off ties with the god king will not revert your slats. so you get to keep your additional slats points.)
With this you should be able to crit your enemies 80% of the time and do the same or higher amount of damage shown in the video.
He's only mistake is not picking Living Armor talent, cause with his type of build (lonewolf 2h warfare-necro) it is almost essential.

Wow...well, I didn't know you can get allies. For me, the last battle was way more difficult. Though, I made it easier by throwing barrels with death fog to Lucian's face :)
I expected the Doctor to appear during the final fight. He said it would be much fun for him. Did I miss something?
so somehow after fighting Lucain and Dalis I completly skipped the fight with Braccus Rex is it normal to?

hmm im a lil bit confused.. after choosing to be divine (and test another choice) cutscene not appear.. it just skip to lady vangeance.. maybe some file missing >.< (but nothing wrong when click verify intefrity on steam)

Well, not as far as I'm aware. Perhaps we'll get some post game content with the definitive edition that's coming soon? But I'm not very positive about that.
How did you free Dallis from the god king? i have Fane in my party with max attitude and sworn breaker, but everytime i try to claim divinity i always get Dallis bad ending :/
Sephelutis Lucifus Dallis isn't enslaved to the God King. You are thinking of Wendigo. You have to give Wendigo the Sworn Breaker before freeing her.
What was your starting attributes....also is this high strenght high wits?

İ barely able to kill braccus rex with 4 man party (dallis and others was enemy too but they mostly focus braccus too).Then watched this video , i tought my builds was good lol you made it look really easy also instead of braccus going for kraken *clap* i really wonder your build that dmg is insane

The Doctor was a much more challenging boss fight than the final battle
was kinda disappointed
As any good RPG would have it, there's always some side boss that's more challenging than the final boss fight, waiting for those who wish to challenge themselves.
I disagree. Adramalikh was a lot easier.

@@alduintheanti-dragonborn If you kill Braccus in the first stage of the fight then he never calls the Kraken, the game ends in the first arena. There are a couple of videos showing this, but you have to hit like a truck for it to work, basically you need Anathema and use Onslaught on Braccus, it should kill him in one turn. BUT, you have to fight the entire group to be able to do so, meaning you have to oppose Lucian and Dallis's demand.

your fight was much easier than mine...i must of gone a way different path. I had no allies.
If you side with Lucian he and Dallis and their dudes join you, else you have to fight them first and then fight Braccus without them.
haha and if you go agaist them you have to figth all of them in the throne room and then fight against all of them i fase two. haha i wondered why that figth was so hard it took me 3 hours for fck sake. and i suvived only because i had lots of potions and revive shrolls .
Yes the last fight can be very hard depending on your choices before it. I had a similar experience my very first time sincei ended up alone with my rogue.
Probably not that hard if you use invisiblity and remain focussed solely on Braccus.
I didnt even know to Focus on braccus and went for the Hard Route. I only managed because I cheated myself to the second fight (because keeping the cooldowns from before is too BS for me) and because I managed to do very Well with the last man I had standing, even soloing the Kraken.
How do you free bracus Rex from dallis before this fight? I just don't get that option

Just say yes, if they ask you to sacrifice yourself. With that they have no reason to fight you and Braccus is forced to act.

The ending is the same. So no harm done
The decision to sacrifice or not doesn't change anything, except difficulty of the final fight.

I don't remember seeing you using Apotheosis, yet I see some skills like Onslaught not using up your source points. Is that Lucian's blessing?
you get buff before final fight that reduces all SP costs -3
In the last boss fight all your Source skills cost no Source, just action points.
Im trying to go solo also, but i always run into problems about getting outnumbered where i just cant do anything about it. what did you do when you were outnumbered?
The first secret is a get better position before fight so the outnumbered wouldny be a treat

Erm well somehow in tactician mode I killed two of them and by then Lucian and a white magister had killed braccus rex kraken died and the fight ended wtf :O ? Oh and then sebile suddenly said she wanted Divinity and decided a fight between three of us Vs her would be clever even though she was my lover (as fane)... Killed her almost in one round ....Again wtf!? And I expected a really tough fight :( ...

fuck this fight, i have the sword to 1 hit him but i get fucked in the lucian fight then as soon as this one starts everything hits me so i get stunned and can't even attack

i dont know. But levels are important in this game, the higher the level you are the better equipment traders sell.

It's worth mentioning that I used the mod www.nexusmods.com/divinityoriginalsin2/mods/335 which allows me to level up Unique gear to my current level.
I simply felt it was immersive but I don't think it played a major factor in the damage.

I was also playing on Classic Mode but as far as I'm aware there's no difference in player damage between different modes.

If not for the fact that the supposed reason this game is so "terrible" is because the final battle had a lot of bugs. Cry me a river, and then jump in.
The final encounter is not what made me hate the game ! The game A LOT of small cons but when they add up the game becomes very unpleasant !

But you can only solo if you pick the right talent ,but then you would sacrifice the spot for other party members. Just don't pick the talent and go as 4man. I don't see the problem?
