I hadn't gotten this far into the game yet, but I was close to the end before my computer decided to die on me. Out of all of them, the least surprising is Fane, the most surprising is Lohse. Fane, from the get-go, is a pretty selfish, inconsiderate person but the way the devs made him, it made him pretty likeable, while for Lohse, she tries to be selfless and caring but the demon she was possessed by kept her from being her true self, out of all the characters in the game, I always saw Lohse as the most kind-hearted person.
Fane is the most kind hearted individual. He abhors te strong bullying the weak and he is peace loving. He does not intervene in mortal affairs because as he said in that tutorial ship, he is still trying to find out if there is anything worth saving. When the thugs bully elodi, lohse who is standing quite nearby doesnt lift a finger. Even if you side with the thugs with lohse in your party it doesn't cause her attitude to drop.
tbh the way I see it, Loshe is the most kind and nicest but not the most selfless, Fane kinda is, he is willing to put aside his own family and race despite his pride and love in them, but no Fane is not the nicest nor really kind
I think it's funny how fane accuses you in fort Joy costantly if you don't help the companions on the ship ALD leave them to fend for themselves while he pretty much does the same thing when he's on the ship
The game would be priceless, if all 6 companions stayed alive after Act 1, and player always had an option to kill them, like in academy. I mean, you have 1-3 companions, and the other 1-6 are like NPC or something (Garreth, Alexander), somewhere they help you, somewhere you help them and etc.

The main character was Lohse)
I'm also playing as Lohse, with my companions being Ifan, the Red Prince and Fane, it's strange that after their kiss in the undertavern, Ifan turned Lohse down before reaching Arx, had to go with Fane instead, and strangely enough it came all of a sudden, just before the Academy every single companion (Ifan included) supported Lohse to become Divine. Don't know if they betray me, have to reach the finale yet. It just now looks like Ifan might be almost a sure bet to try something against me.
I am currently playing this game, still at the Nameless Isles. I romanced Ifan and he was the only one out of my party of 4 to betray me at the end. Maybe I didn't get his quest right, I don't know, but I always got that "affection beaming in his eyes" bs till the very end, so I was outraged that he'd betray me like that. It still hurts you know
