Are you doing a 45° cut with your fingers or keeping it straight?
For the reference hair strand for the length I cut without elevation, all the hair is cut with a 90° elevation and fingers parallel to the parting.

For the v shape,what do I do if the client wants to keep basically most of its long length(on her waist) but want to have the v shape started adobe her sholders?? Do I pull it to the front but cut it at a angle to where I keep the lenght?
If the client wants to keep her length of hair at the waist, for example, you do as on the video but starting at the back (you cut the first hair from the neck to the waist) and you go back to the front. You can also cut the hair from the nape of the neck to the waist, place it in front, take the hair in front and cut it like the video by measuring with those of the waist and cut them.
@@KarinSandraHairstyles ok, sorry if I understood wrong jeje, so I do the guideline at the sholders and work my self down to the waist, so I basically do the v line first, then I go back to the top and now I can pull it to the front to create the layers following the length I left for the V line? So basically the length of the v line would be my guideline to where I would cut the layers.

Where are you located? Can I just come to you and let you cut my hair?? Every time I go to get a V shaped cut with face framing layers I always end up unhappy because I find there aren't many people I've come in contact with that are capable of cutting extra long hair. I get my hair trimmed about 2 per year. The few times I've asked for this cut I don't get exactly what I want and I don't want any more length off so I don't even ask for anything else. I just go home and let it grow out and try another place next time.
