    It depends on gym. In newer gyms that allows for more aestetic style it's nice and fun to climb. But in older style whrre routes are interwoven between many holds is also fun in a chaos.

    • @BoulderingHighlights
      @BoulderingHighlights  3 роки тому +1

      the chaos is really oldschool haha usually smaller gyms dont have enough space for the boulders to show their aesthetic beauty
      tbh the aesthetic of the route entices me to try it even though the moves may be weird

      @@BoulderingHighlights I was about to say that I love to be in front of a mess/spray wall, and make my own problems. Then I realized that it's a bit saying no to the routesetters job and what they can offer. And now I feel that my approach of climbing is maybe a bit... "masturbatory". xDDD

    Yo dude! This is such a great video. I hope this one serves as an example of what you can bring to the climbing community.
    You can be super fun and hilarious (ie: the tomoa video). Also being respectful and passionate like this one. This is a niche you are filling.

      @@BoulderingHighlights so your talents as a comedian is desperately needed on the UA-cam climbing scene. You have so many little jokes that you do with the editing it's brilliant. Along with your narration jokes which are hilarious to the ones in the know.
      Climbing videos are often extremely serious and usually to their own detriment of entertainment. While extremely informative and knowledgeable I think there's something that you can add in particular that everybody else is missing out on. Keep it going man keep it going!

    A really relaxing and well made video man. It’s cool when the route setter steps up aesthetics and taps into their artistic side for a set. I definitely go for those types of boulders first.

    I once had the honor to try some weird spectacular boulder made entirely out of giant sharp-edged volumes. It looked like something from a dark video game or a black citadel from a fantasy movie. Absolutely loved that one, because it also had a lot of unique moves (mostly getting around these sharp edges in weird ways). Giving the boulder some character can definitely add to the fun!

    I wish more gyms would set like this but the reality is that these problems are hugely expensive to set and take up a lot of spaceon the wall. Both of which can't be easily afforded.

    [edit:] I never really considered the visual esthetic of a plastic boulder. I found myself in awe in front of some boulders outside, but I feel that what I'm mostly looking for is the feeling of the move. Idk, a ladder is a ladder, even it it's a pleasing to watch ladder :/
