Hey, WatchMojo. You guys should do a list of the Top 20 Fairy Tail Opening Themes. Here's a couple of examples of these bangers you should mention. No Yu Yu Hakusho? I’m sorry, but Bleach, HunterXHunter, and JuJutsu Kaisen all exist because of this anime. All of which are basically Diet Coke versions of it too. Naruto also took “inspiration” from elements of it as well. Heck this anime blew up in popularity as Ghost Fighter overseas and has had more video games and card games in the US than most the animes on this list. Hell, this series even got Happy Meal toys, can’t say that about most of these. No Inuyasha or Rurouni Kenshin either? Inuyasha was one of the only animes that stayed on TV even after Toonami was dead for a decade, it too has more video games and card games than most the ones on this list. They also just recently had Yashahime and Kenshin just had 5 Live Action Movies and just got a new anime too. These shows were on tv more years, had more merchandise, and more shows than many of these one and done flavor of the month animes.
@@amityadav2457Right, a middle school badass who meets a chick “grim reaper” who isn’t his girlfriend character recruits him to work for Spirit World as either a “Spirit Detective” or a “Soul Reaper” he is joined by a tall friend that’s drawn most differently from the rest whom was naturally spiritually aware that started off as punks that got into street fights together, one to save his cat the other to save his medallion. Both main characters team up with friends and an anti hero that reluctantly helps them and sometimes can be almost a foe but honestly looks out for the main character in the end. Both teams they fight evil spirits (demons or hollows) both main characters have a single parent, and you find out both had family involved in the same thing they were doing be it a dad who was a demon king or a dad who was a soul reaper. They both befriend a girl who is avoiding the place they have to go because they want to live a quiet and peaceful life and we’re both high ranked at that place be it one who is hiding as a cat or the other whose an old lady, both of which can use their spirit energy to turn into badass beautiful young girls and mentors to the main character both of which make sexual jokes about the situation. Both save the day but only after they stop holding back be it Spirit Cuffs or Bankai and you see the hidden trace of them both being part demon be it the Hollow Mask first appearing briefly or the Spirit energy Phoenix appearing briefly which is related to their demon forms later. Both beat up dudes who stand in their way that become sideline friends, both end up with their girlfriend character not their chick grim reaper, both fight their predecessors the substitute soul reaper or former spirit detective before them. Both could turn energy into objects like weapons and armor. Both had multiple personalities, both had 7 human psychics working under them, both of which having one that was a kid that could trap people into a video game system be it a SNES in YYH or PSP in Bleach, both exposed the truth to the corruption of spirit world and how they got used and snapped. Both died to the main character and when spirit world came knocking to take away their bodies both were told to kick rocks. Both main characters later become part demon even though demons are what they’ve been hunting. Both end up with Spirit Energy, Demon Energy, and the energy their former spirit detective or soul reaper used briefly be it Fullbring or Yusuke’s sort of Sacred Energy at the end and are unique in their bloodline that they can mix their unique combination of energies. Both one time only get a long black haired form with tattoos one time each for both even the orange haired main character and their forms look similar. They both restore peace sort of through luck and determination between spirits, demons, and humans. Both also have to solve unrest and turmoil in spirit world. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen Saint Seiya and it’s nowhere near the level of copy/paste bleach is to Yu Yu Hakusho. This is just a small sample of the similarities as Bleach could damn near be a longer spiritual successor to Yu Yu Hakusho as it’s pretty much the same show. I’d even met the voice actors to both shows and Justin Cook and Johnny Yong Bosch even admitted it’s kinda the same show and pretty much the same character. Other shows of the same genre will have similarities like people claiming any anime with a tournament arc wants to be Dragon Ball, but in this case you could pretty much not say the characters names but summarize both shows and both are strikingly similar. Bleach was even originally rejected from Shonen Jump because Kubo was ripping off Yu Yu Hakusho. Love both shows dearly, but one is clearly a knockoff of the other.
Great list but it's missing some great ones like Trigun, Inuyasha, Lupin the 3rd, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo, and my favorite anime of all time Yu Yu Hakusho.
I have watched all sorts of anime from Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Super, Pokemon, Digimon, Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Yu Yu Hakusho, One Punch Man, Tenchi Muyo, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, Shaman King, One Piece, Sonic X, X-Men Anime, Wolverine Anime, Iron Man Anime, Blade Anime, and others but my favorite anime is My Hero Academia!
You have chosen...wisely. The #1 pick is why I would like to get Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabet's autographs one day. I have a Lucario Funko Pop waiting for him to sign.
I'd argue that Rurouni Kenshin should be on the list. They are remaking it currently, but the original was some of the best historical anime work ever made. It's referenced in other works and it's the titular samurai anime.
How can you like the below mid story of Demon Slayer if you claim yourself as an One Piece fan ? DS is backed up only by it's animation. It's most generic anime I have ever seen and dropped mid way. I simply can't understand the hype.
A lot of these are my favorite with 16 / 30 I have seen & with One Piece being my #1, but I would have also added shows like Gintama, Bungo Stray Dogs, Slime, Overlord, Lupin the 3rd, Kill la Kill, Digimon, The Melancholy of Harumi Suzumiya, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Rurouni Kenshin, Cyborg 009, Nichijou, Yu Yu Hakusho, Baccano, Fruits Basket, Oddtaxi, FLCL, Trigun, Darker than Black, Black Lagoon, Goblin Slayer, Samurai 7, Ranma 1/2, Log Horizon, Mashle, & many more
the thing that upsets me is how people don’t want to get into anime just because “it’s not real”, “it’s drawn and animated”, “it’s in another language”.. all these shows on here are unique, amazing, and entertaining and there’s much more out there, these people are missing out and they don’t even know it 😂
Jojo is so great. Love how creative the fights and stands can be. Like that fishing rod stand was stronger then thougut. Plus so many cool characters. The whole each part is a new thing is cool when used to other animes.
I enjoyed demon slayer but oh man the fandom isn’t humble I swear. They can’t ever stop mentioning how beautiful the animation is & they believe tanjiro is the purest best protagonist ever🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ AND to clarify I don’t hate DS I hate most of the fandom a lot of people do.
Even though Neon Genesis Evangelion is a 'mecha anime', it's so much more than that. It's quite possibly the most important anime ever made. Everyone who dabbles with the medium should definitely watch it. One of the GoATs.
I'm glad to see this video mentioned 5 of my favorite anime series, and those series are Dragon Ball, Pokémon, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh, and My Hero Academia. Also, I'm a bit confused and disappointed that this top 30 most popular anime series video didn't mention Digimon, Bakugan, Blue Dragon, Dinosaur King, Sonic X, Dr. Stone, Monsuno, and The Seven Deadly Sins.
I'm happy seeing Code Geass made the list. I absolutely loved the show. If Sunrise hadn't botch the second season then it would have launched a franchise on par with Macross and Gundam.
I have to agree with you. Both about seeing _Code Geass_ (deservedly) make this list, as well as your opinion on R2. As much as I still love R2 of _Code Geass,_ it kinda has a different "feel" compared to R1. Apparently, due to how incredibly well-received R1 of _Code Geass_ was, Sunrise Studios decided to become more involved with R2, and the actual series Creators didn't have (nearly) as much control/say when it came to R2's Story; particularly the latter half... The Creators also apparently had always planned for an R3 as the *true* Final Season, but Sunrise execs said no, so _Code Geass'_ Creators had to wrap things up with R2; hence why R2 - particularly the latter half - feels "off" and/or "rushed" in Story quality compared to R1 and even the first half of R2. Note: This is all just hearsay I found online (though from multiple "sources"), so take this info with a grain of salt! 😆
I’m sorry but if that’s a screw up then that’s the best screw up ever. Code Geass is easily top 3 all time for me and has the best ending I’ve ever seen.
@@darkdremora4436 It's official. Gorō Taniguchi, one of the main writers, admitted all this on Twitter last year in a thread called Geass Memories. He said hardly any of their plans for Made it into R2 except for Lelouch's death. That was planned from the beginning.
@@wdcain1 I see. Did he state what some of those unused ideas were? Also, I wonder if that was the case regarding the Recap Movie Trilogy... Feels like a *lot* was unnecessaryly cut out from the Anime; and wasn't it supposed to be an actual R3/Continuation instead of Recap Movies? From what I heard, there was never supposed to be any Movies (including Resurrection), but a true R3/Anime Season continuing right where R2's Epilogue left off.
Im actually disappointed YuYu hakusho isnt on this list or inuyasha for that matter those combined with Dbz, cowboy bebop and gundam helped shape my love for anime
Here’s my favorite anime shows ever the original Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon Crystal, Inuyasha, Yashamie half demon Princesses, Sword art online, Pokémon, Blood C, the original Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh Gx, Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds, I recently started watching Death note & honestly it’s very creepy but in a good way. As for studio ghibli movies Kiki’s delivery service, Castle in the sky, Spirited Away, and Ponyo they are my favorite movies.
I'd also give the Anime at 10:07 _Code Geass_ a watch! I just recently got into it a couple years ago after skipping it for *years* (something I now *highly* regret); and it's become one of my all-time favorite Anime Series'! It also has a *really* excellent English Dub; with some talented VAs - such as Johnny Yong Bosch and Yuri Lowenthal.
My nr 1 favorite anime since November 23rd will ALWAYS be One Piece. My other favorites in NON-ranking order are Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, Sailor Moon, Pokémon, Urusei Yatsura (original), Yu-Gi-Oh!, Fairy Tail & diverse Studio Ghibli movies. And i watch them on their original japanese version without changes & censorships. Wish Pokémon & Yu-Gi-Oh! got released on DVD WITH the japanese versions on Europe & North america. 🙏
Not having digimon is super weird. I feel like even though pokemon is 5 it should be way higher. I think dbz and pokemon always had the biggest impact on all media.
Of course Dragon Ball would be top 1. The best anime franchise ever, the most popular, and the one that revolutionized the shounen anime. Also, it has Goku as the protagonist, which is one of best characters in fiction of all time.
Im a huge One piece fan and shill but dragon ball deserves #1. Dbz was massive and got ppl into anime. Alot didnt even know dragon ball was the prequel for years and it worked. Its really the anime that started the trend of anime, transformation like suoer sayian kinda set standard for future anime to have power ups and new forms. So many iconic moments, characters, abilities etc

Bleach inspired by seint seiya not yyh, original narration may overlap sometimes.
Bleach part of the OG big 3. Can't be that low.
To be completely honest, the High School DxD series is one of the most popular anime series in my estimation.
Should be put in an Honorable Mention list

Fairy tail deserved to be on this list
It isn’t quite as popular like these anime series, same can be said like Digimon
Great list but it's missing some great ones like Trigun, Inuyasha, Lupin the 3rd, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo, and my favorite anime of all time Yu Yu Hakusho.
Trigun was not that popular in japan, apparently. I love the reboot.

"What about Saint Seyia ?!??!"
Dragon ball, One Piece, and Demon Slayer are probably my top three
How can you like the below mid story of Demon Slayer if you claim yourself as an One Piece fan ? DS is backed up only by it's animation. It's most generic anime I have ever seen and dropped mid way. I simply can't understand the hype.
@@helixiod I like what I like.
A lot of these are my favorite with 16 / 30 I have seen & with One Piece being my #1, but I would have also added shows like Gintama, Bungo Stray Dogs, Slime, Overlord, Lupin the 3rd, Kill la Kill, Digimon, The Melancholy of Harumi Suzumiya, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Rurouni Kenshin, Cyborg 009, Nichijou, Yu Yu Hakusho, Baccano, Fruits Basket, Oddtaxi, FLCL, Trigun, Darker than Black, Black Lagoon, Goblin Slayer, Samurai 7, Ranma 1/2, Log Horizon, Mashle, & many more
Gin ta ma Is the only right answer
the thing that upsets me is how people don’t want to get into anime just because “it’s not real”, “it’s drawn and animated”, “it’s in another language”.. all these shows on here are unique, amazing, and entertaining and there’s much more out there, these people are missing out and they don’t even know it 😂
And they still shilling hollywood when they got paid for their positive reviews

@@darkdremora4436Sunrise screwed both seasons the creators originally wanted R1 to be 50 eps but the studio forced them to cut it in half.
Top 10 Anime That Deserve More Attention.
My favorites are fairy tail, my hero academia and especially pokemon
I expect to find haters who disagree to put Sword art online here, i really like that anime from the best light novel exist.
Putting demon slayer over Pokémon is insane 😭
Here’s my favorite anime shows ever the original Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon Crystal, Inuyasha, Yashamie half demon Princesses, Sword art online, Pokémon, Blood C, the original Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh Gx, Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds, I recently started watching Death note & honestly it’s very creepy but in a good way. As for studio ghibli movies Kiki’s delivery service, Castle in the sky, Spirited Away, and Ponyo they are my favorite movies.
One miss of this list is not having Akira on this list somewhere
My favorites are One Piece,My Hero Academia , SpyXFamily and Attack on Titan
While I'm glad for Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, Pokemon Sailor Moon and Yugioh, but I guess Inuyasha was not popular enough.

I Mostly Love SAO, Beyblade, My Hero Academia, Pokemon, Naruto, & Spy x Family...
Of course Dragon Ball would be top 1. The best anime franchise ever, the most popular, and the one that revolutionized the shounen anime. Also, it has Goku as the protagonist, which is one of best characters in fiction of all time.
Definetely not even one of the best😂
