Love the practical description you showed between starting and running windings AND how to identify them in a motor. Great job!
You're great! The only video with English title and English text, well done an shame on the other clicbaiters!
Thanks
Thank you sir for details and simply explanation .. I am a your big fan sir ..and always follow your suggestions and closely watching your video as well as in a class ..thank you sir 🙏🙏
Excellent, thanks for sharing.
Super explanation
Great explanation. Very helpful.
Great job
well explained
Good video.Explained in details with diagram which is helpful.Thanks.
Very clear explanation, Sar!. My 180 watts stand fan is running slow have to push the start blades by hand. Already replaced the 3 MFD capacitor but still the same. The start coil indicates 50 Kilo-ohm (very high resistance) while the running coil is about 230 ohm in 4-speed segments. What makes the starting coil resistance so high and what is the solution, Pranab Sar? (Clue: This fan was left outside in the rain for a few months), Thanks. Maha from Malaysia.
Please! Anyone who has the answer can assist me. Thank you.
Very informative, could me my college/university tutor in electromechanical lab
Video is so good but
Fan running in opposite direction.
From Top view - if fan is hanging then fan should run in clockwise direction
Connection,
phase wire- starting winding
Neutral wire-common winding
Capacitor two points -joint with starting and running winding.
Really liked the detailed diagram, however, it appears it was incorrect....?....and agreed, the music was distracting. UA-cam policy or not, go for something without any singing and less intense. I learned something...; )
like
what is background song
turns in starting winding is lower than running winding. then how running wire resistance will become low ?
Theoretically the no. Of turns in Starting Winding is Higher and lower in Running Winding. So resistance of Starting winding is higher than running winding.
Looking from top view of the fan the fan should be rotating in clockwise and from bottom view it should be anti_clock.
Sir ,which 'FAN' has two terminal and also we can run it without capacitor ???
May be Resistance Start Induction Run motor.
If you explain in English you will get likes and subscription from all over the world , keep it up bro, from Kenya
Thanks
Capacitor connected to the phase and neutral and running winding one end and starting winding one end is common right!?!
No sir, capacitor is connected in series with starting winding and this combination is connected in parallel with running winding and phase-neutral.
But which winding is the thicker winding ?
Running Winding is thicker
@@PranabsLab thank you . That's what i was thinking
Starting winding has low resistance n it is the inner winding
Running winding has high resistance n it is the outer winding
Make this correction in your video
Theoretically Starting winding has high and running winding has low resistance. There may be some mistake in my video. Sorry for that. And thanks for noticing.
I am also confused about that.. what should I do...🤔
And also fan rotating reverse...🙆
S windig R low. Ranig windig R high
Music and titles distract and distort the video.
Sorry for that. But we can not remove the background music due to UA-cam policy. Please watch out latest videos and feel the change. Thanks 😊🙏🏽
16 pole motor. Synchronous speed of 375 RPM @ 50 Hz, 450 RPM @ 60 Hz. Due to slip loss, the motor will never achieve these RPM, while under load. Capacitor value needs to be divided by 1.44, to provide correct impedance @ 60 Hz. Supply voltage must be increased, by multiplying by 1.2, to maintain rated torque.
Very good explaining but fan rotation is not correct.
Yes, very truly said. My connection was reversed. Thanks for noticing this.
@@PranabsLab The mistake is the starting winding should be the inner one and the running winding should be the outer one. You could refer to this animation:
ua-cam.com/video/gRD-8jCQ2Lg/v-deo.html
Rotation should be clockwise. Your fan rotation is not correct.
Yes, truly said.
Sorry for that mistake & thanks for noticing this.
Please Hindi mein Bata dijiye
you are saying wrong the inner winding is starting winding and the outer winding is running winding resolve this In your video so the beginners don't confuse with it.
Yes, you are right. Inner winding is Starting and outer is Running winding. Sorry for that mistake in my video.
I will make an another video clearing this things.
Thanks for noticing this.
Your vedio should be correction...
Fan rotating reverse..🧐🤦
Thanks for noticing this. In my another video I will correct it
You are telling wrong the inner winding is starting winding and you show rotation is wrong
Yes, that's my bad. Sorry for that. I will correct it in my another video. Thanks for your feedback.
Wrong information. pls correct.
I'm With you he replace names and purpose of starting and running coils .
You are saying Starting winding has high resistance and the inner winding is starting winding which has low resistance. Kindly watch your own video twice.
Outer Winding is Starting Winding (High Resistance & Low Inductance) and inner winding is running winding (Low Resistance & High Inductance).
@@PranabsLab ua-cam.com/video/gRD-8jCQ2Lg/v-deo.html
Wrong Info...Its the reverse...Stop spreading misinformation
Sorry for that. And thanks for noticing
Wrong information
Wrong
Wrong information please watch ur video again
Theoretically Starting winding has high and running winding has low resistance. There may be some mistake in my video. Sorry for that. And thanks for noticing.
@@PranabsLab dear pranab inner winding is starting and outer winding is running, inner winding resistance is low outer winding resistance is high, am i currect
Yes, absolutely.
But the resistance of starting winding should always more than the resistance of running winding.
My cheap DMM may be showed up a wrong reading.
It's a shame that you have no knowledge about fan motor and you are teaching others wrong information. There's no running and starting winding in a PSC/ permanent split capacitor motor. Since both windings are always connected to power for the whole time. The outer winding is primarily winding and inner winding is secondary winding. Primarily winding is directly connected to the power line and secondary winding is phase shifted. Damm your test procedure. The wires must be sanded before measuring resistance. Your fan is running in opposite direction. Shame on you. Delete this video and Stop spreading wrong information.
