I've been interested in this topic for a while now. I've already transitioned a lot of my clothes and bedsheets to cotton and other natural materials. If you need to get plastic out of your system, I recommend spending time in a sauna. Research shows that we sweat out microplastics.
I’m also a big fan of hemp and organic cotton blends. Wear mostly t-shirts but also pants such as Seed Pants. They last a while, are warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
What about running/working out clothes? Natural materials take a very long time to dry and so don’t regulate your body temperature that well while as synthetics
I wouldn't really say that's accurate. Synthetic fibers trap moisture and heat and don't breathe, linen and cotton breathe very well and dry fast, but wool can absorb a lot of moisture before ever feeling wet. Also, many people (including me) get terrible rashes when exercising in synthetic clothing!
Cotton is terrible for wicking. Merino wool is much better at absorbing, but still not very good at dispersing. Synthetics wick moisture and let it evaporate. That is to say, replace your casual clothes first and your synthetic lines running shorts last. In fact, accept your running shorts are synthetic. An hour of exposure while working out is acceptable compared to the health benefits of working out and not getting a rash from being damp while doing so. Even if your exposure is higher, being fit is more important. Your raincoat will likely have to be synthetic too, so consider an umbrella. If you are backpacking and a raincoat means not going hyperthermic....then accept the synthetic material. Replace what makes sense for your use case. Merina wool socks from Darn Tough are a no-brainer switch. I bought 7 pairs and now I have socks for life since they are guaranteed for life.
Yeah I can't imagine doing sports or physical activity sweating for hours with 100% cotton underwear, that's definitely a problem but I can see wearing 100% around the house or sleeping no problem.
You are the best UA-camr in the world, thank you Cade for so much. I just bought 2 undies from Nads and I’m very happy about it. I’m going to buy more in the future 😊👍🏻
High quality content. Thanks for the video, I learned a lot from it and instantly checked the labels of the clothes I'm wearing. Apart from 5 % elastan in my underwear I'm alright. ^^ Phew. I don't think I'll scan my whole closet as I'm sure most of it is 100 % cotton and linnen anyway, I've always preferred them too, but I'll definitely avoid buying synthetic clothes in the future. Now that I'm thinking about it. My bras can't be cotton. They might very well be 100 % synthetic. Gotta check them. But that might be contributing to rising breast cancer rates. Edit: Yes. I've found my daily dose of polyester. Bras are the culprit. Any boob owning people here that can recommend a brand that has good cotton bras that give enough support to do some sports too?
I’ve actually heard this theory in India, and we wear 100% cotton (hand dyed with natural ingredients!) doing yoga. But now I’m back in my country I don’t know what options I have for sportswear/sportsbra during intensive circuit trainings etc☹️
i wish i saw this Video earlier, i just ordered new a Blanket and Sheets made with Polyester .... The next underwear that i will buy will be 100 % organic, nice Video.
I started buying cotton underwear for myself about 10 years ago, about 2 years ago I started buying cotton only boxer for my husband. At first he wasn’t a fan because they can be a bit more pricey. Now he only likes the cotton and doesn’t mind the paying a bit more, I would highly recommend the cotton underwear.
lol i learnt about this about 2 months ago (no fear mongering bro, ur good) especially on tight trunks and briefs, not lettting ya BALLS BREATH!! I'll comment a phat explanation on what lead me to researching this and becoming informed, making the change to, for example looser underwear such as boxers or just plain commando and the immediate positive affect I started getting within 1 week!
so many topics related to this like air quality, detergents, non stick pans etc. I am mostly barefoot in my home, and now I'm thinking about is vinyl flooring vs carpet vs hardwood something to consider too?
For 20+ years, I had to wear suits for work. I tried to find ways to ditch the synthetics, but to buy bespoke wool suits was way out of my budget. Now that I'm out of a corp office space, I can work in natural clothing. Over the past 5 years, I have slowly replaced 95% of my clothing with natural fibers. Linen is the best in summer, and nothing regulates temperature better in the cold seasons than wool. Some cotton, silk, and alpaca are added in there, too. Wearing the fibers God created are the healthiest for our skin and well-being. Imagine that! 😅 Now I'm working on replacing all other fabrics in my home; I'd say I'm about 95% there - just need to replace the mattress and living room furniture next. Trying to find 100% natural fibers is not only difficult but expensive as well. Polyester drapes - very affordable; linen drapes - $200/panel. Ouch. Nope - had to search for all cotton drapes; took a while to find them, and they were still 5x the average synthetic. :/
100% cotton is better than most synthetic materials. So I would start there. Also linen is beautiful looking, wool is super warm for the winter. Ideally you would want to get organic cotton if you can, especially for your underwear. But if you’re going for mainly natural materials you are doing way way better.
Fyi since you're here, the link for the nads underwear doesn't work, leads to a 404, for me at least! Appreciate you putting out this good content, keep it up. @@CadePriorFilms
what an amazing and eye opening video , thank u cade .. and what a syncronicity , i was searching for more organic underwear products .. and this vid pop up .. keep the good work up .. ur supporter from algeria
What about jeans? So jeans are denim, which is cotton, but they’re usually dyed. Can you make a few more videos on the topic, breaking down more details and recommendations?
People say that but honestly underwear last way longer than my shirts and people spend $40 T shirt. You can have 5 pairs of underwear for 2 years and then get new ones. Or just buy some 100% cotton Hanes for $5
Bamboo, or other fabrics created from wood/plants are not good. It takes a lot of chemicals to turn them into fibers. I think companies scam people with this stuff. And bamboo just sounds better. But when you look into it they use carbon disulfide, sulfuric acid, ammonia, acetone, or caustic soda to create bamboo / wood based clothing.
Haha naked is great in the right setting of course! I would checkout Nads for organic underwear and then when purchasing clothes look for natural materials. And if you wanna get super crazy look into organic cotton clothing brands, tons of them popping up left and right.
Easy solution is look at the tags in the clothing and look for natural materials. These are things like Wool - look for RWS certified Organic cotton Linen Hemp Silk - look for Peace silk over conventional silk options. Natural Leather Companies are constantly creating new, crazy fabrics. So if you ever see something you’re unsure of, when in doubt stick with the basics (occam's razor)
Appreciate you having the balls to speak out on men's health issues.
Love the pun. It has to be done!
@@CadePriorFilms Hello. How do the white Nads boxers stay up? drawstring or elastane?

Thanks for the info! A bit common sense but worth iterating, make sure you guys are washing with a safe detergent as well.
I almost missed the video because of thumbnail 😮
I remembered binge watching your channel last month when watched floor sleeping

Yes! You’re so right! First thing I did was commando! Which is always a great option. And you can feel the difference for sure.
this is kinda discouraging :( even our clothing. Going to be exhausting figuring out my wardrobe/ what to buy in the future.
I'm very happy I found your channel. Keep sharing the wisdom 💎
joe rogan is the last person i want to quantify microplastic consumption lol

Great information Cade, thanks.
Good video bro. Can you suggest some organic and natural clothing brands for men? That would be really helpful.
Thanks for making this!
Believe it or not , my underwear is straight up painful to wear.
Yes, andt I don't even like full pants. Why girls have all the fun?
My half pants look at me with awkward gaze😅
If you can show me a non toxic pair that has the special ‘family jewels’ pocket then I’m sold
Nads has some with those I believe
Bro thanks for making this video. It’s unique.
Btw could you please recommend me some pocket friendly, health friendly clothing brands?
Just strive to only wear 100% cotton.

Love your stuff man, you hit the nail on the head every time. Could you cover EMFs and how dangerous they actually are?
Lofe is but a dream, nothing has meaning until it does.
Dude, this very interesting.I personally choose bamboo viscose for most of my fabrics. Can you do a video on bamboo viscose and fabrics made of them?
Where do you typically buy your shirts from? It looks good on you.
Clothes have a frequency
What are all of your clothing brand pics for men? Thanks for the Nads underwear recommendation.
My question then becomes: What about Tencel Lyocell fabrics? Sourced from natural raw material wood
Any good rash-guard recommendations? Love the content
I wish :/ thanks man
Any recommendations for brands of women underwear? 😊
I'm curious is polyester bad as a display item? I like collecting plushies and was wondering if polyester was bad just having it around on a shelf
all polyester sheds microplastics as it degrades (all fabric degrades even if it's just on a shelf)
So would recommend not getting plushies as display items?
I'm not sure anyone can afford to pay $32 per pair of underwear...
Just dont wear any, lmao
But most can buy a one time use overload of trash food? Right
They can if they want a baby
People say that but honestly underwear last way longer than my shirts and people spend $40 T shirt. You can have 5 pairs of underwear for 2 years and then get new ones. Or just buy some 100% cotton Hanes for $5
Which is better bamboo rayon or modal? both with only 5% spandex probably for the waistband.
Great video 🔥🔥🔥
As a sportsmen you wear synthetic clothes most of the day...

what about bamboo material...
what kind of shoe insoles should we get ?
Haha well I wouldn’t recommend any insoles for shoes (checkout my barefoot shoe video)
@iorFilms if i wear shoes with its built in insole its like im gonna feel ache until padded insole changes the feel more comfortable
Man what shall I wear now!? 😢 #goNaked

Isn't leather treated with tons of toxic chemicals?
What alternatives are there?

Organic cotton
Linen
Hemp
Silk - look for Peace silk over conventional silk options.
Natural Leather

one day the poor and rich will fight.
And silk
Love silk!
just go no commando
What about modal?
Modal is considered semi-synthetic. So a better alternative than polyester but I would wear cotton instead of modal if possible.
"have became"?
I’m doomed, I’m wearing 75% fake material today.
i will never understand 34 dollar boxers
what happened to bro😪
