Last weekend I went to the Joggins Cliff. It's located in Nova Scotia, Canada. It's one of the best places on Earth to find fossils from the Carboniferous. Fossils are everywhere and really numerous. I walked along the cliff completely alone for more than 5 hours while listening to this in my headphones. It was an unforgettable experience. I felt transported 320 million years ago. Thanks Iron Cthulhu Apocalypse for this perfect track.
The pre-Cambrian era was the height of the Chthonic empire a chaotic period in which nothing was made manifest. But it’s presence was fully realized in this particular place and time.
This song, with the fact is referred to the Pre Cambrian, captures all the feelings that I have when I think about past eras! Every time, it really impresses me thinking about how short is the story of mankind (from Australopithecus to nowdays) compared with the amount of time that is passed from the first stages of the planet. It gives me chills, and I'd really love to have a time machine to travel back and explore a world that now is only an idea into humans minds but that has been real for interminable millemniums. When I think to all this, a mysterius sensation fill my entire body... a sensation similar to the one that floods me everytime I watch the stars, dreaming about how big is the universe and how many secrets it hides.
@@evilstef Ah but there is something! After all the nothingness and emptiness there comes a new beginning. And the circle of life keeps going round and round.

Thanks for this track, I really love the precambrian and it's peacefulness, it really reminds me of my insignificance haha in the most happy, calm, peaceful and relaxing way, it's like oh yeah, we've been around for no time and we'll probably have to meet the end of our era too, and that's ok... it might sound a little pesimistic but it honestly fills me with joy and peace and a deeper desire to make the most out of my time alive:') thank you:')

This is awesome. Perfect meditation and workout music. I hope you make more ambient music like this. Something to listen to in these strange times we live in.
At the first dawn, in the first age, before humanity stood straight and regarded the glory of the heavens, silence reigned in the garden of the gods; cold, lonesome, and interminable silence, with the dim rays of the young Sun it's only companion. Then, in midst of the silence there came a sound; the first utterance of the first mind, spoken from the throat of ALL that is. .I A O.
This specific mix for whatever reason made me think of the concept of the "Oort Cloud" come to think of it, that "The Oort Cloud" would be a perfect title for one of these mixes!
Listen to this while going through the Royal Tyrell Museum in Alberta. Especially during the first exhibits leading up to the beginning of the dinosaurs. I did and I do not regret it.
I confess that the idea of taking off one's boots in a howling squall to safeguard fossils that had survived since the Precambrian had its funny side. - Richard Fortey
So soothing and calming. The music, along with the image, gives me a sense of peace and relaxation. As if, the souls of this planet are beckoning me to go down the path. Amazing work as always, ICA.
wowwwww IM DIGGING THIS MUSIC sitting down in a chair in your labrynth iron cthulhu the fire burning and sitting and relaxing great piece reminds me of steve roach a bit
I would like a time machine, to go personally in the various eras, so ancient and mysterious. even though I believe it wouldn't last more than an hour.
@Iron Cthulhu Apocalypse It also depends on when you visit. If it's before the Great Oxidation Crisis, you'll not only suffocate, but you'll have a bad time with the pressure, too.
I love all your tracks. I've been playing Arkham Horror LCG by myself and I put these on in the background. It adds the absolute prefect mood for gameplay atmosphere. I also play a lot of the longer ones (8+ hours) while working from home and it covers up the outside traffic noise and fills up the silence in my head (or maybe it's actually blocking all the noise there too). Thank you so much. :D

I can’t even imagine what sentient beings that have walked this earth before the beginning of time.. they probably looked like spirits.. something the human could never imagine
i'm glad you like it. unfortunately, i don't really make music with a lot of forethought or planning it out. so, what happens happens when i make stuff usually. i can focus on a vibe to fit a game or movie, but i don't think it's realistic for me to make a sequel to a track that's worthy of the original, intentionally. i would if i could though.
In my opinion the whole time before the cenozoic is absolutely interesting because i think it had to be very calm back then. No crying humans argueing about what is right or wrong.

Since the soundtracks for the PS One Doom games, I've always liked dark ambient, minimalistic music. But I've always want to learn how to make it. If it's not too much to ask, where do I begin to set up something with the necessary programs to make this music?
Snoopy - if you're on PC, get the program "Ambient Grains". You can only use the demo version, but it's still functional enough to make music. The company folded. Anyway, it's very easy to make great minimal drones this beyond. I can get you the program if you can't find it. That said, I mainly use FL Studio. It's pretty basic and easy to use. I'm not very smart with technical music software. With FL Studio, you can get a lot of synths and effects, plus trigger samples. If you pitch stuff down, add a lot of reverb and echo, then add some interesting, slow eerie sounds over the top, you'll be well on your way to make satisfying dark ambient. Main thing is use restraint, go for less, and keep things interesting in terms of the sound texture.
The music you make reminds me of my smooth hands, made to help rid others of their edges and slide down here with me. If you read this, can you help me know how to make my hands jagged so I can climb out?
I'm making the comment as a reminder to myself not to sleep to this, I just had a nap for eight minutes because it was a nightmare. Some kid thinking that his hand was cut off to pay for the pizza and when the box was opened it was the hand the kid lost
