I think she's more beautiful now than she was in the 70s. I don't know what it is about the song, which became popular when I was in the US Army stationed in Frankfurt AM, but it has always made me tearful. Perhaps, it's the fear we all had back then or perhaps it's the innocence of wishing it would stop.. I can't be sure but I still feel it at 69, all these years later.
