    i did ozempic for one month just to manage my portion control (the URGES to stuff my face were just too strong, Ozempic made those urges silent.). came off it, kept the weight off and lost more just by watching what i eat. 50 lbs down.

It took me a long time, almost two years to lose the weight. Lol I love to eat and maybe that's why. But congrats on losing the weight you have. Just do not put pressure on yourself. My mom is a diabetic and took Ozempic. She almost died. At first she lost a lot of weight but she was nauseous all the time. Then she started throwing up, couldn't hold any food down. Then she started going into DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis) which is where you have too much acid in your blood you throw up blood and stomach acid every few minutes for days which can kill you. She developed a heart arrhythmia. I watched the ER try to shock her heart back in rhythm with a defibrillator while she was awake. Her heart stopped for a moment which was terrifying. Many catheterizations. In and out of the ER and constantly being admitted for 2 years. The last time she was admitted we found her naked and screaming on the floor in her home by herself. She had no idea who I was. She was in diabetic crisis and admitted into the ICU. So much more happened but I'm so traumatized from all that I try not to think about it.
    Of course, she's off it now and has gained all her weight back, now 300 lbs. I've seen what that stuff does to someone. It may happen to you like that or it may not. I would NEVER take that chance. Eat right and exercise.

      Something ain't right here. Ozempic doesn't make you lose your memory and stop your heart or it wouldn't be on the market. Clearly something else was going on with your mom for this to happen. You are supposed to monitor your symptoms with your doctor anytime you start a new med. Any doctor would have told her to stop taking it once she was violently throwing up. Either she kept taking something she wasn't supposed to or you're withholding information but it's not adding up.

    • @meshameemee
      @meshameemee 24 дні тому

      @@ytscrownjewell The symptoms my mom had were listed as possible side effects on the box. My mom had a team of doctors monitoring her and taking care of her. She still has a team to this day. Of course she stopped taking it immediately but the damage was already done. Once you start getting those symptoms it's hard for some people's bodies to reverse it. Some people do great on it but she just wasn't one of them. She's better now but it was a long two years to get there. I have no reason to lie to you stranger on the Internet.

    • @meshameemee
      @meshameemee 24 дні тому

      @@ytscrownjewell She didn't lose her memory in that sense. Her hormones were way out of wack and she went into diabetic crisis. At that point she must've been having hallucinations or something. She was out of her mind. It was like one symptom of that drug triggered another symptom and another symptom and so on.

You don't get me wrong if you are morbidly obese 300 plus pounds absolutely if it is the only thing that's going to help you lose weight by all means but just because you want to lose 20 30 40 lb that's not fair to me.

      I'm not on Ozembic but here is my story. I'm in Asia and take a Chinese medicine that seems to work the same way as Ozembic but I never had any side effects. Why did I start taking it? I have PCOS and since 2019 I've gained weight that I could not lose. I did everything my doctor told me. I changed my diet, started exercising (more, I was always active). Despite all my lifestyle changes I wasn't losing weight which made me more stressed and I started gaining more weight instead of losing weight....which led to a bit of depression. I was now overweight for the 1st time in my life and started giving up because literally "I worked very VERY hard" but nothing worked. I maintained the diet but stopped exercising because what was point? Until I went to the Chinese doctor, told him about my struggle with weight, family history of diabetes and my fear that with PCOS I was on my way to joining them. He told me basically what the lady in the video at 4:50 explains. I've been on it for a year losing a 1-2 kg every 2-3 weeks and now I've plateau at a health weight just shy of my weight goal. I've started exercising again to tone, build back my flexibility and strength and hopefully lose the last few kg.

    Weight was the fault of ignorance about the immense harm carbs inflict on the human body.

      You are the ignorant one. Repeat after me......CARBS DO NOT MAKE YOU FAT!!!!!! I am literally a former trainer and nutritionist who happened to lose 100 pounds WHILE eating carbs. I also was a fighter who cut weight while eating carbs. You need to be better educated.

      Carbs and fats for that matter are not harmful to the human body. Food additives and environmental contaminants are. Please read about ultra processed foods.

    If I was obese, I would just get a gastric sleeve and work out and eat less. No medications needed.

      As much as they make Gastic Bypass look like a dream it comes with just as many side effects! Lol your talking about taking a medication versus going through a surgery. Totally different

    I went in the er for asthma two weeks ago. Stayed there for 9 days.. Now I am 5 ft 11"" tall and plus size.. 44" 38" 56 are my measurements..for my height I carry it well.. but this old j'ish doctor spent an hour trying to convince me to get on ozempic.. I spent the hour laughing and cussing her in Trinidadian twang cause you old bat I dont have diabetes and I don't want to lose the weight so extreme that I would be injecting myself every day. It's like saying I'm gonna take a Tylenol for a fungus on your foot.. smh..

      If you are overweight you probably have at least high cholesterol levels. Maybe even pre diabetes (thats harder to get diagnosed ) . Also with extra weight you have higher chances of dying from heart attack or getting stroke. Your joints , especially knees will start to hurt earlier in the age than later from all that weight. You can get spine problems. Also higher chance of developing Alzheimers and increased risk of dementia (that also can develop earlier as well) . Maybe you should have listened to the doctor that probably cared . Just saying.
      And yeah: you cannot get prescribed semaglutide unless you are obese and have something worrisome in your chart or you have diabetes/ pre diabetes

    I take trulicity for my type 2 diabetes it's been the only thing that has hoped to lower my blood sugar in 5 years I don't know how it compares with ozempic I know that they're on the same family I guess when I first started my trulicity I did have a few of the side effects but nothing really bad I've been on it for well over a year Yes I lost some weight and not drastically so I wonder if that's why doctors aren't prescribing trulicity for weight loss
