in the case of the canadian woman, they got the recording because she had a relative in prison and she knew that they recorded calls to inmates, so she called her relative at the jail while she was in the car.

Re the recording they found of the Canadian woman's conversation? I believe it was evidence they had chosen not to release initially. If memory serves, the woman discreetly called (or answered a call from) a relative that was incarcerated - and all calls in/out of the prison were recorded.

Also the story at number 1 isn't much of a mystery. The 2 women probably got lost. And the strange pictures were probably them using the camera flash to light their way in the jungle once thier phones died.
Being in the jungle, they could have been attacked by an animal or gotten injured somehow and died.

It might be the movie named THE BELKO EXPERIMENT. Its the movie about the people working for a tech company only to find out they had chips implanted and were part of an experiment to see if they would kill one another rather than be killed.

I think the title you're looking for is The Firm; it's a Tom Cruise movie where he works for a law firm, thinking he's doing some good, only to find that they're the villains.

I like the first one because it reminds me of the mrballen story where the guy said he was half horse and testing if he was immortal. he also drank oil and started fighting someone; while, also eating them. police also had dogs on him and were kicking and tasing him.
