We cannot help but to chase the light, it is an obsession. Always seeking, & never stopping. Love the Fujinon 200mm, a beast of a lens, a very specialised instrument. I am blessed to have one. The images that this lens renders, brings a smile to my heart. Best wishes, Dan.😊
The second you mentioned the new camera, I made a bet with myself that it's going to be ZF.. Looking forward to some field reports. Lovely sky, we're already past the time of such wonderfulness, typicaly at my place it ends in October..
Seeing you drive through Santa Fe at the beginning of the video reminds me of how much I love that little town. I've driven through a number of times, and have stayed there a few times. I visited the Georgia O'Keeffe museum one of those times. Good memories. Can't wait to go back one day soon.
hi, nice to see some birding action you display that chase very well. have a safe trip to Europe, unfortunately I won't be able to make it to Paris... all the best frank
There he is on the old model tractor. But I’m sure you’ll wanna upgrade, when it drops in the US. Probably a long long time from now. Milnor, you’re no itchy
Oh the ZF is quite big I see. Just like the G9II. A comparison of both would be interesting, especially the stabilization. Saw a comparison of the G9II with other Lumix cameras and it was incredible (they put 4 on a rig and moved it).
Well, thank you. It's shot on an Insta but then I used a Rec 709 LUT for the XH2s because I use that same LUT on my XH2s footage. I need to find a good LUT for the Insta.
Dan, how different would you say the 40mm is from the 35mm lens in terms of composition. Is it still wide enough to easily work with layers like the 35 or is it more like a 50 where lots of people seem to focus/isolate on one subject? All the best, Seb

Yes, then you know how good this thing is.
Motorcycles, vans, 200mm primes - you are living the UA-cam dream!

I want to get back there someday! Have fun in Paris- one of my favorite places!

The museum was just to my left in that first shot!
@@DANIELMILNOR505 - Yeah, I thought you were close.

Okay, see you next time. Am in Spain in the spring and might venture to other Europe stops after that.
Hay Dan, tell your peeps at Blurb to make more space for the free book making workshop 😊
they opened up more slots!
@@DANIELMILNOR505it says it's still sold out
the black boarder around the 4 minute mark fits pretty well
Do you ever go to Ruidoso? That would be a good location for a Diary video!
Yes, love it there. Love the track but they aren't keen on people photographing.

I dont' even know what a G9II is so probably not gonna compare anything, but the Zf is rather large but love it so far. It just works.
@@DANIELMILNOR505 yeah let others do the comparing, it's a good idea! Panni Lumix G9II. Seems as interesting as the Zf.
also, I assume you're using Merlin app from The Cornell Lab for birds identification?
Yes, love that app but also use a host of other things. But never my ACTUAL knowledge which is still damn limited.
I know, I said it already. … But I really love the colours of your videos.

Thanks a lot for the insight! Appreciate it. ✌🏻

All the best,

It's wide enough to layer. I haven't used it enough to really give you any solid advice....yet.
wait..
you're saying AF-C on X-H2 doesn't suck big time?
Not mine. Works great. If I can track songbirds in flight, that works for me.
