Thursday Devotion “Working Through Us” (LHM)

The call/sending of Jeremiah serves as a wonderful lesson/reminder for each of us of God's working through us. Jeremiah was quite young, feeling unworthy, incapable, and unable to accomplish the task the Lord had for Him. BUT Jeremiah wasn't alone. The Lord knew him and had a plan for him before he was even born. The Lord has been his strength, his ability, and his life, Jeremiah just needed to strive less on his own and trust the Lord would accomplish His purposes. That message is the same for us as well. Whatever our calling/role/vocation, God has given us His Spirit living within each of us and He is at work In and With and Through us to accomplish His purposes and extend His love through us. Whatever you are facing today, especially when you feel like Jeremiah, know that you are not alone and that God is with you to accomplish His work of love and saving of souls in Jesus Christ.
