Tuesday Devotion - “Sparrows” (LHM)

The Lord provides us with so rich and abundant creation that testifies to His power and glory and love. At our home we have a "bird garden" which was always busy throughout the cold winter days, and we watched so many little birds flock around, eating, and gathering together (except when an eagle was nearby). And often birds might fly inside of large buildings and stores. These little birds, sparrows, are reminders of God's love and care for each of us and they remind us that often in the Old Testament birds would often find sanctuary in the Lord's sanctuary. May the sight of birds in your yard or in large buildings always be a reminder to you of your Father's love and mercy and care for you, and the encouragement to gather with others (His flock) in his sanctuary to be fed and nourished by our Creator and Savior. For our God cares so much for us that He bought us from sin and death with His Own blood.
