Tuesday Devotion - Bringing Us The Gospel

God wants to have a relationship with each of us and He calls us into His presence, but our sins, our wretchedness, our depravity makes us so unworthy to stand before the Lord. Therefore, our faithful God brings to us the Gospel, the sweet word of Amazing Grace, that we are redeemed in Jesus Christ, that we are cleansed of our sins, that we are liberated from death, all through the cross and empty tomb of our Savior Jesus Christ. That Gospel is the faithful work of God as we confess our sins (1 John 1:8-9) that is given, not through a burning coal from His altar but through the spoken Word of God from the altar of the cross. In Christ, you are forgiven. In Christ, you are restored.
