Thanks for the tips! How I've been working my business is, I post a menú on Monday for pre-order, that will be ready for pickup on Wednesday. This way I can use from Thursday to Saturday to prepare for event cakes, that are usually held on the weekends. Gives me Doble income and the smaller pre-order items get people motivated to taste my stuff and are more likely to order from me when they need cakes and pastries for parties and events, cuz I've already got them hooked on my treats 💖

Thanks so much for the ideas! I'm a new cookier and the idea of pop ups and selling specific sets instead of customized sets is really helpful. Cuts down on the amount of money spent on cookie cutters that you may or may not use often, tools, etc.
And you'll make more money while also making less cookies! I offer presales and I'm clearing close to $100/dozen because most people will pay $5-7 per cookie vs. spending $50 dozen on special occasion cookies. Just wanted to drop that gem in here for you!

Hi thank you so much for taking the time to educate us new bakers. It’s so helpful. Some markets require proper labeling of baked goods. Could you tell me what resources you use to make these?
VERY informative! You gave some excellent ideas for increasing revenue. I love to teach so I think that's an avenue I am going to take. I've already planned to not take custom orders for my decorated sugar cookies and will offer sets of 4 designs per dozen. Cake pops will be offered the same way. As far as cakes go, I think that I will create a bunch of dummy cakes for customers to choose from for their celebration. Thanks for planting several seeds.
@@TheStationBakery No I do it from home when orders are asked for but since covid I just gave up, that was my backup. I do have a regular job but baking is what makes me happy.
first of all, thank you!! these are some amazing tips.. and i really like the last idea, i've been thinking it but was reluctant to do it as clients mostly order custom cakes. You can even host your own at your home, a friends home etc. Just be sure to check restrictions for the neighborhoods.
Thank you for the information! You are amazing & I really appreciate you! Btw for the pop up or markets do you have any suggestions for how much of each item to bake for these?
Aww thank you! I’m glad I can help! As far as how much of each item to make, there are a couple of things you can do. You can contact the organizer to see how much traffic they expect or usually get. If it’s a market, you can visit one weekend to get a feel of what the traffic is like. Then consider that most people will want individual items or small packs. What are your best sellers? Bring more of those and then adjust after you start selling. There’s more but I can only type so much 🥲
I used to do them. Lately it seems like anything I try to promote on my FB biz page doesn't get seen. It's like if O don't pay to advertise the event? They don't let people see it.
It’s a tricky question that I would love to ask you does it depend on who selling the product because I used to work at the hotel and I realize when we would go to farmers market with my coworkers I would always see one booth empty and another booth selling like crazy But I don’t know how to ask this question does it depend on the person that they’ll go and buy from you because this man’s product I saw everything nice everything was high-level, but I realized they didn’t go to him because of one thing and it upset me so I went over to him to buy something but I didn’t say anything by question why you weren’tbut his product was you know where I’m going
