I flew lots of times with SunExpress' 737Max 8 and the usual 737-800's. The seats in this video aren't the usual seats Sunexpress has in it's fleet, they are the ex. Flair Airlines ones, which was the pre-owner of this 737. In the usual config., you won't get a phone holder and a usb power outlet and the seats are thiner on the sunexpress ones. Pegasus Airlines uses the same seats like sunexpress. And an advice from me: try to avoid flying sunexpress if your destination isn't Antalya or Izmir. Pegasus is by far the best option to choose when flying cheap to turkey.
That is true but you cant always find direct flights to turkish airports from europe especially from have less demand for example copenhagen airport. I went copemhagen last week from antalya. I didnt find any flights from dalaman airport which goes direct to the copenhagen, both in tk and pegasus you should transfer from istanbul and that was making it double price in my case. We took a ride to antalya from fethiye, took flight with sunexpress and didnt bother with transfer and halved the ticket price. I dont think we should not expect comfort and other things with low cost carriers. But you are right, pegasus is better.
As a revenue management analyst, Antalya is one of the routes I look after from LGW. Some crazy revenues in the summer holiday period! That and Dalaman are the routes with the most competition haha.
A nice contrast with the endless coverage of the front-cabins of Qatar, Emirates, Etihad and Singapore. 'Package-holiday' free-transfers can be a great added-value item. Good review.
The aircraft you took is a former Smartwings aircraft equipped with Collins Pinnacle seats, not Meridian. Original SunExpress 737-8 Max aircraft feature Safran Z85 seats while the new ones will be equipped with Z200 seats as you mentioned.
Of course I confused the Collins Economy seats again. I am sorry! Those are the hardest for me, as they look so similar yet so different and often misidentify which is which.
@@simply_aviationNo problem! I just wanted to contribute to your video by sharing my know-how on aircraft seats. I’m aware that the seat models and series are becoming harder to identify nowadays as many of them look similar to each other, but that’s also part of my challenging job.
