Good honest review. There is a faster charger that what have:- the AL500 which would definitely help. However from my experience with the My KMA135r if your striming long padlock grass or over grown areas owhich aren’t regularly cut your will still have to wait for your first AP300s battery to finish charging after you have used up the second AP300s battery. And I can also tell you the AP500s is even a worse option as it takes a lot longer to charge than the AP300s and doesn’t run much longer than the AP300s to make up for it! I also found if your striming longer overgrown stuff flat out the AP500s is often too warm to charge straight away so the fan comes on the charger but can’t charge till it has cooled first 5 -10 mins so takes even longer still. I find this hardly ever happens with my older AP300s batteries (without the Bluetooth smart connect) but it happens often with the AP500s and also with the newer AP300s batteries (with Bluetooth smart connect). And as you said the AP500s is heavier and cost considerably more! To be fair if your striming around regular lawn type areas the run time is far better and you can definitely get continuous runtime from two batteries and one fast charger. But with longer once or twice a year stuff you would ideally need 3 batteries and a second charger so that when you done with the second battery you can get that on your second charger and start using the 3rd battery. That way when the 3rd battery runs out your first battery will be ready on charger one and when your first battery runs out for second time battery 2 or charger 2 will hopefully be charged.
Use the 1st battery down to halfway or at the very least one bar before it starts flashing and you will be able to charge back up to 80% or more by the time you've run thr 2nd battery down to that same level. Remember its the top and bottom 10-20% that can take as long to charge up as the middle 60-80% plus its much better for the lifespan of this type of battery if you keep it in that middle range. And as per thr instruction book store it half charged 2 bars
Why are you mowing.. And you said field.... You should be strimming a lawn. It's not a brush cutter. Also all the batteries prices, amp hours and prices are relative. 200/300/300S/500. Yes the bigger are heavier, especially the 500. They will last you 5-years easily. 10yrs probably if looked after and dry/warm inside. I charge mine up daily after use and had my 300s for 5 years now, it's like new still. Is the KMA 200R powerful or heavy? I have the kma 130R. 2019. What line are you using on it?
If you switch to AL 500/501 charger is goes to 45min (AL 300/301 is 80 min). And if the battery is hot it needs so cool down in charger without charging. The Husqvarna design is so much better with active cooling when you work. And Ego with 56V system is far beyond the 36 V system.
400 Euros a piece where I live and that's at retail discount price. Sthil list price if 500 EUR. I think not. I can run my 131R for about 10 years on gas for the price of one battery, given my usage profile.

That's a useful thought, mate thank you. Same logic as with EVs. Didn't think to do that.
@@disndat1000 yep, it's the same chemistry as a lot of EVs at the moment
