I run a HLA 66 with a little 100 battery and it does so much work , every now and then we put the 300 battery in but the 100 is plenty the hedge trimmer itself is bullet proof we use and abuse it and it keeps going.Same as the little RMA 443vc chuck the 300 or the 500 battery in and its a brilliant bit of kit, way better than the husvarna lc353 ivx we run (never again) Hoping to speak to stihl at Groundfest this year and see what sort of deal we can get on the RMA 453 Great video though and has made me think it may be worth grabbing the KMA 120r
What are the main differences between this product and the KMA 135 R? I can't seem to find a direct comparison online, even though they seem to been identical products, to include the same specifications on the STIHL's website.
Does that run on the ap batteries? Bought a combo unit today and they sold me the wrong engine for the 300 S batteries, what’s a disappointment.great review.

I've used both the fsa 120 and the kma 135 and yeah I would definitely say the 135 has more power than the 120 in my experience. I find you do get a bit of extra battery life from the 120 over the 135 cause of this.
@@joshuabush2569 yes, the kma 135r is a more powerful machine, also it has 3 power settings, great machine for the tougher jobs, but if just for regular maintenance, I would say it would be overkill, 👍👍
Interesting you both found the KMA135 is more powerful. I watched a really good comparison by @mainstreetmower on UA-cam from 10months ago. He believed it is actually the same motor in both as well as the KMA80 which runs on the smaller AK batteries. (Also I heard it same motor as the old kma130 which has umbilical cord) And when Stihl tested with the blower attachment they all gave out same blowing force. The main difference is the KMA135 has a more premium built quality with a more rubberized grip etc and the KMA120 is slightly cheaper because of that so is aimed at people who perhaps have slightly smaller budget or use it less regularly. One thing I do prefer though on the KMA120 is the designated speed switch as the speed switch on the KMA135 is also the safety switch so I find I often change the speed when I don’t want to. Main reason I wouldn’t and didn’t buy a KMA120, and instead bought another KMA135 is the KMA120 is actually a fraction heavier than the KMA135 which is heavy enough particularly when used with the heavier AP500s or even the AP300s. Both are heavier that the petrol equivalent. The new KMA200 looks very impressive power wise but that is 0.5kg heavier still!
@@jonathangreally1034 I'm guessing, but with the blower, it could be that the kombi's could have same drive shaft speed and not the actual power difference that producing same forces, but I could be wrong, but the kma135 is definitely a more powerful unit, the kma120 is 0.1 kg heavier than the 135, but how the unit is designed and how it is the the hand using it, it strangely doesn't feel any heavier. 👍

Weighs a lot less than the electric when the battery is fitted, so the petrol saves a lot of my energy.
