I remember waiting and waiting and then it went quickly once mine was built and shipped. Mine shipped to rail to KC. That’s where FORD did me a favor. Everything was backed up and it was just setting for days and I’m not really patient 😉 so I called FORD, they red flagged my car and that put it too the front of the line and It was at my Dealership at 5:00 am the next morning !!! The Head of Ford for the Midwest, said he was watching my car and he made it happen!! I absolutely love my 2020 GT500 😎 Congratulations Tim!! I hope 🤞 today is ur day sir!!

I saw a race red GT500 with white painted stripes. It had over spray (now I know that is painted at another shop) and the paint was very rough. I ordered mine with taped stripes and wrapped the front clip. My 2007 GT500 I changed the hood and the stripes were painted and then clear coated (it was perfect). My 2020 GT 500 is also rapid red but white stripes (side and over the top)
Another great video.. I ordered a 2019 Raptor, it was delivered via rail. Unfortunately, there was rail dust all over the truck, and the dust was embedded in the hood decals. Not sure if that's happened to anyone else's vehicle.. Just a heads up..

Thanks, but “Cobra” is not in the name. It’s a Shelby GT500. The Cobra moniker was dropped by Ford after 2004. A “Shelby Cobra” is a 2-seat roadster from the 60s.

Nice car , I bought a 2020 350 R with all the options and love it but i had a bad experience at the dealer ship. It was Performance Ford in West Covina L.A. in CA, They had told me my adjustable strut towers were already on the car and they were not . I did not know any better at that time till i had the car for a couple weeks. They would not call me back when i was trying to find out what happened. I guess i'm asking how to get a person form Ford to answers my emails .I would love to talk to you about this if you have the time. I'm in San Diego , Thank you for the info on your purchase and the video was great.
Your best bet would be to contact the guys at Ford Performance. Go to FordPerformance.com during business hours and use their online chat feature. You’ll see a tab on the right side of the page. Hopefully they hook you up. There should have been adjustable strut mounts marked with your VIN at the dealership parts counter if they weren’t installed on your car.
So happy for you. The car is gorgeous. Just curious who you insure it thru? I have to insure my SuperSnake and I want to make sure it’s covered to the max.
So what I noticed that bugs me is the GT500 and the manuals aren't supposed to be backed onto the car hauler. There's a sticker on the driver's window that says so. The driver must not have been paying attention.

BTW great info VoD ... followed ur steps to contact CSX/UP on rail car nbr and this is where it gets weird. My nbr is ETTX703116, expected to arrive in SF Bay area in Nov. Mssg from CSX states "Released to Customer, Georgetown KY on Feb 5th @ 3:53am, No ETA" What??? Make no sense or rail car nbr I rec'd from Dealer is invalid. Any thing I may be missing?
Have the dealer pull up the current location on their screen. It’s just a little delayed. If you have a good rail car number, the rail company phone tree is the most accurate.

Good move Tim. Im sure the voice in the back of your head would have always nagged you about that CFTP. What company did you get the wheel & tire package through? I had my local dealer search several companies for my GT350R and they said all the companies that offered one for the carbons were questionable.
I went through the same process 😂. I already had a base gt500 and lusted after a cftp. Was "lucky" enough to only pay 10k markup on a double Golden ticket model.

w5nasham I got my base at MSRP, but finding a CFTP at MSRP is basically impossible. I am currently prepping the car (polish/wet sand) for PPF and videoing what I am doing. PPF is this coming week!
Buyers are getting different stories. My salesman swears my plan covers my wheels and others have been told the same. We shall see what happens if I ever have to make a claim.

@@belminzvekic6 There lies the problem. I could not find a dealer that had an allocation at MSRP... I ended up buying a base. I later found a CFTP with a markup that was reasonable, so I made the switch.

The CFTP gives me anxiety just thinking about it LOL! I def would not get that upgrade if I were ordering one. But if I had money to burn and had to have it all, I'd get standard wheels for driving and keep the CF wheels in storage. Which sucks. Which is why I feel they're pointless to own.... Except I'm in a different social strata.
I drive it like I stole it on the streets and track. I treat the CF wheels like I do any of my other Mustang wheels. I avoid road debris, potholes and curbs.
I secured an allocation for a 22 at a local dealership where I bought my 350r and my 14 GT500 and also I bought a 14 roush from them but they have no idea when will actually be able to order it
Mario García Your dealership has to have a Golden Ticket, which are only given out to larger dealers as a reward for sales volume. Every 5th 2020 GT500 allocation a dealer receives is Golden Ticket eligible. My experience was excellent! I took the car out to an event today... absolutely AMAZING!

Gregg Carter The lower front splitter comes on all 2020 GT500s. It arrives strapped into the passenger seat. Handling package cars and CFTP cars also have splitter wickers. I need to install all of this tonight!

Yup! Fortunately the car arrived without any issues from that.
That's good. We work hard building them so we want them getting to the customer in perfect condition.

a guy at the dealership said get some oil sprayed on joints behind the front wheel well splash pans. he is seeing them rust there fast.

@@belminzvekic6 There lies the problem. I could not find a dealer that had an allocation at MSRP... I ended up buying a base. I later found a CFTP with a markup that was reasonable, so I made the switch.

Very interesting,you fellas in america think thats expensive,one here in australia is 350,000 AUD,i dont know for sure,because i didnt even inquire when i saw the price,but that might not have carbon track pack,i will to settle for another super snake,has the gt500 got the new gt350 block m6010-m52b,i am thinking starting with that block and build it up with the new 3.8 whipple when it comes out.Can you buy that DCT trans from ford or tremec
aussie supersnake That’s some serious money! The DCT is rumored to cost $20k US, but I don’t think it is available yet.
The CFTP gives me anxiety just thinking about it LOL! I def would not get that upgrade if I were ordering one. But if I had money to burn and had to have it all, I'd get standard wheels for driving and keep the CF wheels in storage. Which sucks. Which is why I feel they're pointless to own.... Except I'm in a different social strata.
I drive it like I stole it on the streets and track. I treat the CF wheels like I do any of my other Mustang wheels. I avoid road debris, potholes and curbs.

I secured an allocation for a 22 at a local dealership where I bought my 350r and my 14 GT500 and also I bought a 14 roush from them but they have no idea when will actually be able to order it

Mario García Your dealership has to have a Golden Ticket, which are only given out to larger dealers as a reward for sales volume. Every 5th 2020 GT500 allocation a dealer receives is Golden Ticket eligible. My experience was excellent! I took the car out to an event today... absolutely AMAZING!

Gregg Carter The lower front splitter comes on all 2020 GT500s. It arrives strapped into the passenger seat. Handling package cars and CFTP cars also have splitter wickers. I need to install all of this tonight!

I did. I needed to raise my Mustangs up so the driver’s doors would open into the escape door.
Nice. My issue is the distance between the trailer wheel well is too narrow so I thought about your design.

Train delivery? Look inside the front wheels for damage. The large wheels could scrape the "metal guides" of the rail car, EXPENSIVE WHEELS!!
