I say don't give up on the vintage racing thing and don't modify the Hertz Mustang to make it less of a track car. Keep it true to its heritage! You'll find time eventually and in the mean time, maintenance to keep it in good shape is just part of the price of admission.
Exactly and honestly it’s really not that hard to get used to a clutch like that on race fuel. Pretty much need to figure out what rpm to be able dump the clutch and ease into the throttle all in one motion. Takes some getting used to because you can’t use a race clutch to slip at all, they don’t slip stage 3 or higher clutches you just need to drive them more than 47 miles to get used to them.
It physically pains me every time he talks about making it less of a racecar. If he wants a streetable classic Mustang then buy one and sell the racecar.

Your Bronco having the weird low vibration at highway speeds, was simply because you had your hubs locked!! It was very clear the whole video, the hubs were in lock position. Its not safe for the hubs to be locked, while driving that fast EDIT: I'm mostly referring to the previous video with his new Bronco. (When he got it in California). This comment didn't get noticed on that video, so I just tried again on the next bronco video. His previous video is where you hear him mention the odd vibration from hubs/bearing. And that whole video, you can see the hubs locked. I should have been more specific lol. My bad guys
I've had these Ford's for years. On the Bronco I would change the I-Beam Axle pivot bushings. They are the center bushings on those front beams. They are a rubber bushing mounted in a steel casing. Rubber gets soft over time and these get overlooked. It will cause the axles to wander in and out especially at speed. Also service your lockouts and don't drive with them locked in if you don't need 4-wheel drive. If they're locked in you'll be rotating that whole front axle assembly when it doesn't need to be turning lots of wear and tear and increased fuel usage.
When you go to the salvage yard for the Bronco sway bar, remember to get the cross member it mounts to. It looks like the cross member was removed for those towing mounts. You might want to consider getting the rear sway bars for this too. The rear is a more simple bolt on. This Twin Traction Beam front end does not handle well at all without the front sway bar. Having driven the new GT350 and GT500, I'd take the GT350 any day. It just drives so much better. I feel the same about the original GT350 and GT500. I also drove a new GT350R on the street. I needed a Chiropractor after that. That is definitely a track only car.
Leave the 1966 GT 350 H alone. This is Hoovie’s, Hooptie fleet, and a semi race ready GT 350 H is crazy awesome. You can go to car shows across the world and you can see hundreds of original Shelbys, and a few original R cars from time to time that have been trailer and everywhere and sit behind velvet ropes. What you don’t often see is something like this. And the amount of effort you would have to spend to get your car fully restored to receive top dollar would be a large investment in money and time.
If I were you’d I’d sell both Shelby’s. Sell the Hertz Group B as is. If you make it a hybrid of street and track it won’t appeal to either group so you’ll lose money and delay the sale. Sell it as the wonderful track car that it is!

As for your drive-ability issues on the Mustang, get rid of the racing clutch. Replace it with a RXT Mcleoud or something similar. It will handle your hp plus give a easier pedal, making you want to drive it more. Lastly, your fans won't abandon you if you take time away from uTube. Dude transferred to a new location at my job. Been parking next to this MINT 1993ish to 1996ish Bronco. Its a light blue metallic/silver sides two tone combo, just a stunning looking truck. Been hoping to run into who owns that truck, cause it is just so freaking minty fresh. Yet they drive it to work, even when its pouring rain, the water just beads off it.
Honestly I don't think any special gas car will go down in price anymore. Including the Gt500. Unless formula 1 saves the world with allinol electric will be mandated

Hoovie - do not detube the rent a racer mustang. You own dozens of cars for the street. Set up your schedule for next year with track events. HPDE if not vintage racing. Make the time to enjoy the car as is. Then sell it if you still dislike it.

That Bronco is a Twin Torsion Beam (TTB) suspension. Check the pivot bushings where the beams connect to the frame. That will cause them to wander and seem vague.
If I remember correctly, every time Hoovie goes to do a track day, something bad always seems to happen. Pass on the track and sell the Mustang while it's still at prime market value!
The GT500 is cool but I wouldn't keep it because of the dual clutch. Sure it's fast but I don't feel like it fits the car. The dual clutch is much more suited to the z06 that you hinted at getting 👀
I'd keep the Shelby. You have fun with it and you can haul your whole family in it. So yeah, keep it. Eventually, it's gonna find its way to Wizard's garage when time come for that, so you'll give back to your community
I have basically the non-Shelby version of the same car and it has had two repairs in 8 years and 125K miles. It's way faster than the traffic around it and still comfy and good for long-distance driving. Yes, my Mustang is my daily driver because it simply works when I get in it and I know I could drive across the country in it at any moment.
YES 100 PERCENT I KNOW IT'S A C8 ZO6! Before you said rear engined. Its a no brainer for any true car enthusiast Flat plane crank 650 hp N/A rear engined master peice. If you get the top tear zo6 III carbon option you'll get GMs all carbon rims!!! Yes for the love of God get the C8 Zo6, I went to a dealer and offered my 2011 ltz tri coat tahoe as a down and was still at 1100 a month... I will one day own a C8 base if need be that truly is my dream car, and to park it next to my C4 I'm working on in the garage would be awesome pulling up evryday from a long day at work. I've always thought of the clutch as being the sacrificial lamb between your engine and rear end. I'd rather see you find a clutch that covers the street duties with it being something that if you do some vintage racing you consider it to be a wearable item. Granted, it isn't cheap to do that but I'd rather put the drivetrain shock to be delivered to the clutch.
Twin I-beam/ twin traction beam setups always drive like crap unless you can find that one alignment guru who knows how to set them up. Those gurus are beyond rare these days however.
Go to Harerty/UA-cam to see, Z06, GT3 and R8 race. The Z06 blows them both away. Also, Street Speed 717 dyno'd his Z06, 646 hp, 666 hp after exhaust mods.
Love the Bronco. Had a 96 and I regret selling it. It was a florida truck. I had to do the oil pan gasket also but I just slid the old one out around the pan and put the new one on the same way. Took about an hour. Didn't have to mess with exhaust or jacking the motor.
Nearly supercar speeds, reliable as a tank compared to almost every "luxury" make out there, and it will go faster than you can drive it. Keep the Shelby. They hold their value quite well and are extremely good d aily commuters as well compared to, well, anything else in your hooptie fleet. You can't hardly fit in the Lambo, the Ferraris are money pits, and most everything else is in a state of slowly rusting or falling apart back into the earth due to age. No, it's not good content for your channel as it never breaks or has issues. But it's definitely a keeper for actual driving and trips as even 10 year old Shelbys are selling for nearly what they did new.
There’s a 70 year old guy working at the body shop from the dealership I work at, guy daily drives an S550 GT500 I always give him props because he still beats on it too

How can you drive in that position? In Australia I was taught to put my wrists on top of the steering wheel to put you in the best position to apply the correct force on the steering wheel.
The hitch receiver in the front is commonly used to move trailers into/out of tight locations that may be difficult to maneuver a trailer into by backing!
Your clutch is like that because it is a racing clutch. I would have told you to take a track day before doing anything with it and then decide. I think it would have been good for your channel if you had taken up the classic racing, I am sorry that did not happen for you.

Keep the Shelby! I have a 2017 GT 350 with the 6 speed manual paid $58000 2 years ago put 4000 miles on it ' pretty sure I could get $63000 for her today. With low miles and good condition you'll never lose on a Shelby!

The clutch on the Mustang is a multi-plate sintered steel racing clutch, probably 7.25 inches OD. It’s heavy because it has to be given its small size and likely 3 clutch plates. They are made specifically NOT to slip, be driven from stops and so on. As for racing, you need to send the car to a vintage prep shop so you can arrive and drive. It’ll be expensive and worth every penny.
On the Reno Racer, you need to pitch having Motor trend do a mini series with you and Randy Pobst. Have him "train" you for your Group-B fantasies and then see how you do or something along that lines.

That Bronco is a Twin Torsion Beam (TTB) suspension. Check the pivot bushings where the beams connect to the frame. That will cause them to wander and seem vague.

The GT500 is cool but I wouldn't keep it because of the dual clutch. Sure it's fast but I don't feel like it fits the car.
The dual clutch is much more suited to the z06 that you hinted at getting 👀
I'd keep the Shelby. You have fun with it and you can haul your whole family in it. So yeah, keep it. Eventually, it's gonna find its way to Wizard's garage when time come for that, so you'll give back to your community
I have basically the non-Shelby version of the same car and it has had two repairs in 8 years and 125K miles. It's way faster than the traffic around it and still comfy and good for long-distance driving. Yes, my Mustang is my daily driver because it simply works when I get in it and I know I could drive across the country in it at any moment.
YES 100 PERCENT I KNOW IT'S A C8 ZO6! Before you said rear engined. Its a no brainer for any true car enthusiast Flat plane crank 650 hp N/A rear engined master peice. If you get the top tear zo6 III carbon option you'll get GMs all carbon rims!!! Yes for the love of God get the C8 Zo6, I went to a dealer and offered my 2011 ltz tri coat tahoe as a down and was still at 1100 a month... I will one day own a C8 base if need be that truly is my dream car, and to park it next to my C4 I'm working on in the garage would be awesome pulling up evryday from a long day at work. If I was single and no house yet I'd be all in for a C8 Zo6 haha. Can't wait to see all the vids with the C8. Love your also getting away for Ford or should I say " Fix Or Repai Daily" 😎💪🏽

I've always thought of the clutch as being the sacrificial lamb between your engine and rear end. I'd rather see you find a clutch that covers the street duties with it being something that if you do some vintage racing you consider it to be a wearable item. Granted, it isn't cheap to do that but I'd rather put the drivetrain shock to be delivered to the clutch.

Go to Harerty/UA-cam to see, Z06, GT3 and R8 race. The Z06 blows them both away. Also, Street Speed 717 dyno'd his Z06, 646 hp, 666 hp after exhaust mods.

I had to do the oil pan gasket also but I just slid the old one out around the pan and put the new one on the same way. Took about an hour. Didn't have to mess with exhaust or jacking the motor.

Nearly supercar speeds, reliable as a tank compared to almost every "luxury" make out there, and it will go faster than you can drive it.
Keep the Shelby. They hold their value quite well and are extremely good d aily commuters as well compared to, well, anything else in your hooptie fleet. You can't hardly fit in the Lambo, the Ferraris are money pits, and most everything else is in a state of slowly rusting or falling apart back into the earth due to age. No, it's not good content for your channel as it never breaks or has issues. But it's definitely a keeper for actual driving and trips as even 10 year old Shelbys are selling for nearly what they did new.

How can you drive in that position? In Australia I was taught to put my wrists on top of the steering wheel to put you in the best position to apply the correct force on the steering wheel.
The hitch receiver in the front is commonly used to move trailers into/out of tight locations that may be difficult to maneuver a trailer into by backing!
That’d be one in the center, two separated like that would be for a front cargo rack .
The front wiring connector though makes it almost certainly for being a toad.
Your clutch is like that because it is a racing clutch. I would have told you to take a track day before doing anything with it and then decide.

Definitely tow bar mounts in the front of the Bronco as there is also an electrical connection to power the Bronco tail lights from the tow vehicle.
If you do remove the clutch, keep all the parts with the car. If you do resell it you'll be able to keep it with the car at least.
I would like to see you keep both Shelby Mustangs, they will not lose value only continue to appreciate with time. I say pass your new car on to somebody that must have it now, and will pay to have it ASAP. Tyler Wins!

The clutch on the Mustang is a multi-plate sintered steel racing clutch, probably 7.25 inches OD. It’s heavy because it has to be given its small size and likely 3 clutch plates. They are made specifically NOT to slip, be driven from stops and so on. As for racing, you need to send the car to a vintage prep shop so you can arrive and drive. It’ll be expensive and worth every penny.
I hope you keep the car as a vintage racer. And I would really like to see you race it. Make the time!

Back in the day, the front suspension on the Fords were "Twin I-Beam", in which this is the 4x4 version if my memory serves me correctly.
