    And the problem with grade guys is they don't know where you wanna check the grade, you have to point the place and at the end you have to come out and do it your self. :)
    Have to warn you, you'll have same thoughts in your head after operating with rototilt. "I wish we had it five years ago"

    If you don't mind saying, how much did the the 2d trimble system cost extra? And what would it cost to upgrade to the 3d

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  9 років тому

      BigDogDuramax It was a $12,000 add on to the machine. I dont know about upgrading to 3D sorry.

      3D add-ons vary from ~$15k for single GNSS with cellular corrections to ~$40k for dual GNSS + long range radio with further upgrades to a larger display.

    Dirt Ninja Hi man,thank you for your two awesome videos about trimble system. I have some question because I don't understand if when the machine rotate the zero altitude is the real yet? and,when you use the laser station additional (how you used when you spread the gravel) do you must accept the laser signal whenever you move from the last position where the laser signal was accepted? Which are the disadvantages if you decide don't use the laser station?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  9 років тому +1

      ***** Thanks for watching! The machine knows if the machine is level or not level so it adjusts for when you spin and the level of your bucket changes. When using the laser you scan it after you set your benchmark. Then you move where ever you want to go and scan again before digging and it will keep your grade. If you move again just scan again before digging. I hope that helped!

      Dirt Ninja okay thank you very much,but why I can operate without laser station? Is better operate with laser station or not?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  9 років тому +1

      ***** You dont have to use the laser. I explained how to use touch points and the laser in this video. I like using the laser

    That tilt bucket used the same system as the expensive tilt hitched would it not have been smarter to get a tilt hitch?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  9 років тому

      PureN3WZ3ALAND Whats a tilt hitch? Im not familiar. Do you mean a tilt-rotator?

    • @NZDIRT
      @NZDIRT 9 років тому +1

      +dirt ninja its a quick hitch that tilts. Lets you tilt any attachment. Most tilt buckets in NZ are ram operated due to cost, i believe your tilt bucket is gear driven which the top end tilt hitches use. Brand new tilt hitch for 5t machine over here is 11k NZD and 9k NZD for the ram operated ones.

    Witchcraft! XD Gotta love technology. When we put in our manufactured home a few years ago, the contractor we hired did the foundation with his JCB 1CX. I remember gawking at him all day and wondering, "How the heck do you get level ground?!"

    I got the 2 systems installed and now have to use them! I played around with the 311 yesterday, but after watching this I should be more proficient. Then I will call Mark for the lesson and I will have less stupid questions and be able to really pic his brain on the use. Thanks

    Pritty sweet system! They only for exvators or can they work for like skid steers too?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  9 років тому

      Brandon Garbacz They have systems for skidsteer attachments. Not for just skidsteers. I dont think it would be too useful in my opinion. They mostly have them for skidsteer grading attachments. But they have systems for dozers, graders and a few others.

    • @bjgarbacz1
      @bjgarbacz1 9 років тому

      Yea that kinda makes sence grading with the exvators is way better anyways more efficient.

    Thank You! Another great video! Is the monitor removable? I can see this getting ripped off on a site.

      Daniel Wixon I'd never leave a Mini Ex on a job site over night.
      A customer of ours lost a Cat 299 loader off a job site while he hauled his Cat 320 Ex back to the shop.
      He was gone less than an hour.

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  9 років тому

      Daniel Wixon Yes it is removable. It is attached to the mount by a twist clamp and the electronics disconnect with a twist on/off style set up. Super easy takes literally 10 seconds to hook up or take off. I take mine out every night.
