Awesome song. Awesome guitarist. Just so you know The Whistling Gypsy, sometimes known simply as The Gypsy Rover, is a well-known ballad composed and copyrighted by Dublin songwriter Leo Maguire in the 1950s. There are a number of similar traditional songs about a well-off woman's encounter with Gypsies dating back at least as far as the early 19th century known as "The Raggle Taggle Gypsy", "The Raggle Taggle Gypsies", "The Gypsy Laddie", "Nine Yellow Gypsies", "Gypsie Davie" and "Black Jack Davie" (Roud #1,[1] Child 200).
Chords: (The gypsy rover...) *G - D* _(x5)_ ( 'til the green woods rang) *E - C* (And he won the heart...) *G - C* _(2x)_ *G - D* [repeat] please correct me if I'm wrong
@brianflynn23 Brian,There is a River Clady in Donegal, if that answers any questions ! I spent a holiday near there a few years ago. Beautiful area it is. Good tutorials by the way. I've covered a few Irish instrumentals on my channel which may be of some interest if you get a chance to drop by. Cheers, Jim
I was only joking ! CV is when you are looking for a job you send your CV to the company....and you must have references from people who think you are good..........something like that !!
Silvana you should never feel in any way useless...as you say you have not been playing long///give yourself some time and just enjoy playing the music. Brian
Thank you MR Flynn I have been playing guitar for four years now and I am always looking for a new song
