    Great tutorial! I picked up a custom at the Classic, it glides like a dream. Thanks!

    Have you ever experienced loosing the pin on a cast? Seems like it would begin to get loose in the body after many tunes of the bait. Thanks for the video.

      Good question. I have never had it happen, I've heard of it happening maybe twice on the various forums. A couple tricks: first the pin isn't perfectly straight. You can put a very slight bend in the pin and it will keep it pretty tight. The more bend, the tighter it will be. I can almost guarantee that the pin wouldn't ever come out, it can be difficult even with pliers.... however, I have definitely seen folks who tune it to how they want, clip the extra off the pin, and dab some super glue on top. This is a fairly permanent solution, but you obviously lose the ability to tune in the future

    Just bought the 7”. Noticed it’s tuned so there maybe is 1/2” movement left to right. Loosening the joints will make it glide better?

      I actually just talked to Mike about the 7, and did some tuning of my own. He sells em pretty much in the screw eyes furthest "in" position. This gives them the widest glide. However, you can screw out the eyes and increase the gap distance. This will make the glides less wide, but will allow the bait to turn faster and at a tighter radius and have more of that choppy back and forth look. For me personally, I went with somewhere in the middle for now. You can also address nose up/down issues with joint tuning as well, but I'd recommend starting by screwing the top and bottom screws the same amount of rotations... you will also have better luck turning them 360 degrees at a time, as opposed to 180 degrees.

    It seems like the joint pin came our rather easily. Is that going to hold while fishing??

      They stay pretty well, ive never had issues... however, If you're concerned, you can put a very slight bend in the pin and then press it back in, and it will make it fit very tight and hard to remove.

    What if your bait doesn’t want to stay left or right? I have a Chad shad that when I glide it one way it always try’s to turn back on itself and it’s like that with both directions.

      That's generally how Chad's are tuned. But to fix that you need to screw in the eyes, make the joint tighter

    How does the pin not fall out?

    • @swimbaitreviews6847
      @swimbaitreviews6847  2 роки тому +2

      It's a pretty tight fit. And you can bend the pin a hair to make it even more snug

    How do I purchase one of these baits?

      Keep an eye on the bullshad website and social media etc. They do drops on occasion. They're also in stock at his store in Atlanta, but that is in-store purchases only

    Making my own swimbait. Where should the eyelet on the nose be located? Centerline with the bait body?

      I just shoot videos man, I don't make em. Trial and error is the best advice I can give ya.

      Measure across the bait on even increments. Then measure the distance on each increments you made across the bait vertically and make a mark at the halfway mark. Then connects all the dots you marked going across the bait.. Get a string at the base of the tail and divide the line in equal parts above and below the string. Wherever your string is at when you have equal parts is where your line tie should be. I hope that makes sense! Lol

      At the moment they're not very available unless you go to a show- He will have him at the Classic and a few others. Otherwise, keep an eye on his site for drops, and he usually announces these drops on Swimbait Universe on Facebook. The sell out FAST so be ready
