I bought an Omen 17 in 2017 right after the Portland Riots for $1,300 (1/2 off from $2,600) and within 6 months the battery swelled up so bad that the lower right corner of the laptop started bulging, and a year after that some of the keys started failing on the keyboard. So I removed the battery and started using an external keyboard. Not to mention the laptop would freeze, the screen would go green and the displayed image would double and shift to the left. I always had to hard reset the machine. I did regular maintenance every 6-months, and kept my drivers updated, and even after reinstalling the OS, the display glitch would happen again, sometimes within a half an hour after starting the computer. Never did discover the cause. Maybe it just had shitty components? I'll never buy another HP product again.

Unfortunately we did not test the 4060 version, but comparing it to a Legion 5 (i7-14650HX) and and Asus TUF A15 (Ryzen 9 8945H) both with 4060s will results in about 20% less performance in our 3D mark rating, while the difference is only minial in our 1080p rating.
