- Hi guys, two years ago I put a video tutorial defeating nemesis but I decided to remake this tutorial because 1 encounter with Nemesis was missing on that video.

So, furniture defeated Nemesis.

When Umbrella made Nemesis, you'd think their creative department was finally going somewhere when they made a guy who could open doors, use weapons, and didn't have a giant heart screaming "Hit me for massive damage!", but then they forgot to give him the ability to walk around corners. Spencer must've laid off a lot of people when he saw that battle footage.

He can pronounce STARS , can use weapon, open door politely, end people suffering, know your location precisely, but he can't get around corners.

This hurts my childhood. I avoided this bastard as much as I could, even leaving certain areas to enter save rooms that lead to areas that he cannot enter as a trick to make him disappear. I have to try this now. I never knew how strong the grenade freeze rounds were.
dude my whole childhood was like yours, but when i discovered cheat engine i was like jack with ethan on resident evil 7, NEMMY NEMMY, COME ON YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM THE AUNT JILL. Them i felt bad for cheating and complete the game on hard.
Pikkon89 i knew back then the bookshelf could block nemesis, i found out when i panicked and got stuck on that room in the police station. But this guy... has been playing too much minecraft, building invisible walls and stuff 😂😂
Haha As a kid. I always just brute forced the fuck out of Nemmy. Probably used at least 3 full heal herbs/first aid sprays on each battle. Then, a couple years later I found out that Nemmy was left handed which makes it way easier. You definitely don't need to cheese him to beat him. Much more rewarding to do it the intended way.
I would literally run, completed the game and obtained rocket launcher then killed him with that... This is a great skill and I will be trying this very soon, just been playing re2 original as the re-release is due. Will be playing 3 next, has been a while. I have a collection of classics will never sell them !

I know this videos 5 years old but i have to salute you. Im pretty good at most of the RE games but this one has been my kryptonite. I'm not good at battling nemesis at all. This is the only RE game i would die multiple times in, the other games I mastered those. Thanks for the tutorial I might have to go back at nemesis again soon.

Out of the original 3 games this was the only one I could never get higher than a B ranking.

@JohnathanRoss I also died multiple times with nemesis around,couldn’t master the dodging trick,usually I’d get killed first. Would love another go at beating nemesis,minus the multiple deaths.

Well if it makes you feel better Aoyama came out and said this was intentional as it gave players another way to fight him. Which isnt all that bad especially since the U.S. release of the game was intentionally harder
I'm guessing we won't be able to trick nemesis in the remake.

imagine they added something auto killing or like the glitch in crash bandicot in the arena if we ever do this in the remake

Playing this again on vita. That 5th encounter is insane. You have to be sooo precise (or so lucky) to get him caught on those corners.

for dodge an attack is just to press the aim button when an enemy is almost hurting you.

Something seems off, I finished This game more than 70x on the early 2000s and I'm pretty sure the last item drop is 'infinite ammo' you could combine on a single weapon
@ZennyoRealOne Nemesis only drops stuff in Hard. The last item is RNG, between Assault Rifle or Inf Ammo for one gun
You only get Inf. Ammo on subsequent playthrough, ie the playthroughs where you get epilogues 2 - 8 and beyond. First playthrough/New Game Hard is always Assault Rifle.
@@HajimotoSaito but theres another trick for inf. Ammo in the first run... you dont have to pick the 2 sprays nemesis drops and one item more... I dont remember well... a youtuber explained this well. Otherwise when you pick the aids is when he gives you the rifle. Didnt tried by muself tho.

Jill DOES say at one point that Nemesis is just trying to toy with her. Why else would he shoot down a helicopter when he could've shot that bazooka at her without her knowing he was there? He could've shot Brad, too, but instead, he chased him around until he found Jill.
@@cynicalnitro8416 It takes 3 rockets to the face to kill Jill but only 1 to down a helicopter. So he made the right choice.
this is some WILD play, I avoided this monster so much in my childhood and you're playing cat and mouse with it! 10/10
To anyone just watching this in 2018 onwards know that Nemesis getting hung up on corners was discovered during the debugging phases of the game and was left in there to give players another way to fight nemesis and Director Kazuhiro Aoyama said this himself.
If so the only glitch in the game is in the park where you have to use the padlock key if you hold X or confirm the entire time when the text box closes it'll freeze all enemies on screen while jill can move around freely until confirm button is released.
So please learn the difference between a *game breaking* glitch and an exploit in the games *intentional* code. And yes Aoyama-san did state the nemesis hang up was intentionally left in there through a Directors commentary video of this by Carcinogensda

Jump to the i believe it was the second encounter with nemesis where carci asked Aoyama about this "glitch" as some ppl still refer to it as and thats when its explained cause carci straight up stops playing for like 5 minutes as Aoyama goes in detail about it
This is clearly a GLITCH
He left it in but still admitted it's not intentional. Most likely was just too lazy /didn't have time to fix it

You know, for a game this old, Nemesis has some pretty nice pathfinding solutions. Most other games would have just let him run against the invisible wall forever.

Welp, 'tis true, Nemmy is a real badass thru da entire game, especially on Hard mode cuz ur resources are VERY limited, an' u must use up yer gunpowderz t'make enough ammo for the police station fight, plus u need some more bulletz for the fast zombies, exploding barrelz an' the two dogz at the burning alley.
The police station fight when u collect the Lockpick is damn easy, cuz Nemmy really stucks at the bookshelfz, but y'must watch out, eventually he'll untangle and if u get cornered, it's curtainz for ya.
After u get to the powerstation an' grab the Magnum, it won't be so hard.
not to mention the american nemesis is the most aggressive version resulting in him getting himself unstuck more

Also that enhanced ammo really works wonders! I've not played Resident Evil 3 yet, currently grabbing achievements on the remaster on Steam atm! so I'll get round to it and Dino Crisis 1 also!

I didn't create because I did not use the shotgun often, both are great but when nemesis is glitched it's better use the Magnum because he can dodge shots of G. Launcher.
Umbrella: Ok Nemesis, you were probably under-equipped for that first encounter so take this instead and you certainly won't fail

For the 3rd encounter fighting nemesis is optional. You can hide in the kitchen and blow him up with the gas and oil lamp and he will drop the 3rd reward briefcase. Then you can simply run from him and conserve the ammo and wait to down him in the 4th encounter for the reward
First off people, this isn't a "glitch". A glitch is a bug falling under very specific definitions. This is an exploit, as in exploiting the AI of Nemesis. A glitch would be if he somehow got Jill "stuck" in a wall or crate with Nemesis no longer being able to hit her.
Secondly, there's nothing wrong with this tactic. Even if it was a glitch there'd be nothing wrong with it bc it exists in the natural game with zero meddling/codes required. So stop being jealous you can't do it and accept how awesome this is lol.
Jonathan Lewis it is awesome and besides nemmy can be cheap too if you fight him straight up. especially that random lunge punch he does. It annoys the shit out me.
Since you can't circle-strafe in this game, exploiting is a fair way. Especially on Hard mode, where y're struck wit' VERY limited resources, even wit' usin' up all yer gunpowderz, y'can be happy if y'have 2-3 bulletz left (an' y'need to keep some bulletz for them fast zombies). Also, most of the encounters are on very tight spaces where y'can get cornered just about everywhere and when this happenz, it's curtainz for ya, since Nemmy blockz the entire passageway.
Its definitely not a glitch especially since now that Kazuhiro Aoyama said that they knew nemesis got hung up on walls and purposely did nothing about it to give players another way to fight him.
I saw this guy vídeo on how to dodge bc I don't get it 😂😂 I've praticed and when I face Nemesis on RPD I died 2 minutes after starting the battle 😂😂😂

I remember spending a lot of time playing the mercenaries game so I could get the rocket launcher to deal with Nemesis. I love how he punches zombies to get to you, I had totally forgotten about that...
I guess you're not intimidated by him, lol. Everytime I see him, I just wanna run. I also have gained an unlimited ammo rocket from the Mad Jackal and I always bring it with me, haha. But I guess I have to train the emergency dodging and running from Nemesis first before trying this trick.
I spent most of this game running away from Nemesis not even attempting to go head to head. This is hilarious, your skills are crazy.
A tip for all you guys: at the first encounter, wait untill the frame of the choices gets red (if you want to fight Nemesis). He won't launch at you like that. Also a good thing to note: Brad Vickers has a S.T.A.R.S card with him (the one you need for the computer in the lobby). Just "talk" to him and take his "wallet". Check the wallet and out comes the card. :)

i was so good when i played this game in 1999
but i have nt tried to nemesis on every attempt .
but you captured the nemesis from his weakness .
When you do the Nemesis round 4 fight after you get the oil additive (as you leave the sales office through the alleyway where the 2 zombie dogs were encountered before round 1 at the R.P.D. entrance), it's possible for the same trick to be used again luring him back to that same corner by the wrecked motorcycle like you did during the first encounter where he killed brad. If he tries to shoot at you with his Anti Tank Missile, they'll just hit the corner of the wall. It takes less time and work than luring him all the way to those fuel drums.
I can't wait for them to remake this game. It's gonna be amazing!

In the train fight, if you try to go back to the cockpit you will get the same cutscene without firing a bullet. That's very useful for speedrunning or if you want to avoid that annoying fight!
This is great, my tutorial would have been run like crazy or wait till you have the Rocket Launcher.

I'm back less than a week after the disappointing remake released.
Because on my fist tutorial I used G. Launcher with Freeze Rounds almost in all encounters. but the G. Launcher is random to get on the beginning of the game, so I decided to use others weapons. actually in this new tutorial is as easy as my fist one.

Does anyone actually know how to get a specific item in the 10th battle? Sometimes you get the infinite ammo and other times you get the assault rifle. How does this work? I would like to think it has to do with the fight in the cable car, if you choose to fight Nemesis like in this video or if you just go back the way you came (the front car) and let Mikhail do the rest. Or does it have to do with the avoidable fights in which you still can get the special item (first aid boxes)? These being the restaurant/press building one and the clock tower power cord/push him off fight?
Ironically the last encounter with Nemesis was the hardest/longest for this runner but for me it was the easiest/shortest.
