He is. His is the widest range in the group, but because it's all in the middle between the others, he doesn't get as much attention. He's kind of the general dogsbody - so often he has to take over the other people's parts to fill out the sound when they step out of their roles and leave certain spaces empty. But it's always background stuff, so most people don't notice. However, he does sing more leads than the others, so I guess it's fair. Also, he, even more than the others, seems to keep everything together - at least I got that impression from the PTXperience videos and Twitter. I give him tons of credit for that.
I couldn't wait for my lectures to end and I have watched it while professor was looking directly at me. I said what I was watching and he just said "oh Pentatonix? I love them. I get it now"😄😄😄
Please consider doing an updated Scott vocal range that includes Pentatonix Sound of Silence as well as Scott's collaboration with Rozzi, Lose Us. Thanks.
scott being a high-placed baritone makes his lows even more impressive. i know he can't sing as low as matt or avi but on some songs u could've convinced me that it was either of them double layered even though it was scott, especially hallelujah and youre a mean one mr grinch. i know a lot of that is studio magic but still a chest C#2 is starting to edge on bass-baritone territory
@@ivomoreira42 it's not in this video, i think the lowest proper note in this video is the D2 at 5:52 but he sings a C#2 in his harmony in the beginning of cologne when he says "not" at the end of the 2nd and 4th bars
@@heliotropeskies5918 Nice. Thank you! And yeah, if you can hit a solid D2 or below, you probably a bass, that's not the case for Scotty, even though he sounds good in low notes
My range is practically identical to Scott’s I will say, I know how to do Subharmonics down to a G1 & can growl to a D1. However chest wise Scott & I are identical
I love when Scott sings the bass in Hallelujah while Avi does his solo. I swear he gives me chills. 😭😱
Could be Kevin tho
@@aidanvela it's Scott
Same in sound of silence when Matt sings his solo Scott covers for bass
@@aidanvela no he's the beatboxer
Scotty’s got a damn good bass sound. He sounds especially sexy on “Havana”. Kinda can’t get enough of him on that song.
SAME
Whenever I hear his bass I get EXTREME goosebumps (I don’t know why) and by the end of the song I might as well be a full goose.
I know this is about Scott....but Avi's bass note at 4:28 is absurd.
Avi's low notes are always giving me the chills ❤
Scott is SO UNDERRATED😭

His vocal range is the ideal for a guy,i believe. He can sing both pretty low and pretty high

#bassbadera ## that professor deserves an award
Hallelujah STILL Blows My Mind!!! He/Avi so similar at times....SEAMLESS!!!
True.

I said "Nope, until I find I should tell your momma on this video I will not hit the like button", and then BOOM.

I ALWAYS FORGET ABOUT STANDING BY AND I HEAR IT AND IT MAKES ME CRY OOF
Why isn’t anybody talking about 0:26 when Mitch doesn’t even hit a high note... he just screamed.
Mitch: *AHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
I’M-- 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣💀

I know this is about Scotty but at 6:57 i cant help relating to Avi when he steps away from the “crowd” (the other ptx members)lol
Oh my goodness!
I noticed that Scott’s another gift just now😂
My favorite his bass is Matt’s part in the sound of silence.
I’m loving every bit of this video especially We Are Young and Scott closes the song out with his sexy bass/low notes🖤 #cryingtearsofjoy24/7💋💋
That was Avi's solo on The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
They are talking about the background parts.
